    Island latte

I went to Island vintage every day of my trip in Hawaii and I have no regrets! The coffee here is AMAZING the Island latte is 100% the move. I tried this location and the royal Hawaiian one and personally like this one more (it's less busy and the coffee is stronger whereas my friend and I felt like the royal hawaiian one was a bit milky). The açaí bowls here are amazing the passion fruit really sells it for me. Island vintage is a must and I'm sure if I go back to Hawaii I will also probably be going every day again.

The store is situated in the middle of the mall so expect it to be busy and noisy. But I like the ambiance, good for coffee runs with friends:) I tried the iced matcha with ube and soy milk. Not sweet at all, but that's how i like it. The iced ube latte is really good. You can't really taste the ube though.

Heads up that there's usually a line at this location. Their original acai bowl is my favorite on the island. This time around I ordered their cacao moana acai bowl. It's blended well and not icy. With every bite, you'll get a different texture from the fruit, granola, cacao, and the almond butter. They are super generous with the granola. I loved how they line the bottom with granola as well. I still prefer the original. I don't recommend studying at this location since the noise level is super loud being next to centerstage and space is tight as well. Staff could be more friendlier and welcoming but I understand that it's super busy which can be overwhelming. I intended to order the lilikoi moana acai but the cashier misheard and thought I said cacao.

I'm addicted to the Haupia matcha and island latte (add Haupia cream)... And when I'm saying I'm addicted... I MEAN IT!! Don't get me wrong, there's so many good options (which I've tried) but these are my top two that I'd go back for multiple times a day if I could. I don't know what they put in their Haupia cream, but it's like crack!! I can't get enough of it! Wish there were more locations!!

Whenever we're in Hawaii, Island Vintage is our go-to Cafe. From their coffee options to their acai bowls, are the reason why they get my 5 star vote. We also buy their coffee beans and bags of granola to enjoy back home when we leave paradise.

The hardware: La Marzocco. The only picture that matters.

No frills. Just solid espresso. When I want an espresso that is good because it's good espresso, Island Vintage has always delivered. Extra points because they always tailor the amount of milk in my iced latte. It's really an iced cortado.

Located inside of the Ala Moana Mall, the popular Hawaiian chain, Island Vintage Coffee, is on the first floor next to the food court and conveniently next to the parking area. We stopped by when we came to the mall in the morning before we started our shopping and got a couple drinks to-go. The service was pretty good, somewhat fast, and easy communication. The ambiance was a bit crowded since the line is in the middle of seating, but if you're just grabbing coffee, this is a good choice that's worth trying.

Visited this place twice during my trip and was satisfied both times! The place itself in this specific location is really small and they do get busy, but the service was really fast . I tried the Kona mocha the first time and matcha the second time. I liked how the matcha was not overly sweet and loved that it was already dairy free. The mocha was also good, but as I got near the end, it was just too sweet for me. My partner tried all the other drinks and was satisfied with all of them. My main flaw would be that the online ordering system is a bit strict with substitutions. We could not substitute the milk online, only in person. Still, a really solid spot for drinks and a good place to try when visiting.

Back again after few years, the "island latte" is still my atf latte, the matcha frappe was also great. Shorter lines here than Royal hawaiian center"

Decent prices for the mall. Tons of fun drink options. I would definitely go back! They do add a ton of ice to their drinks so I recommend asking for light ice. All the drinks I tired were tasty, especially the Haleiwa Ice Tea, which was a little watered down which could have again been because of all the ice. Drinks came out quickly and ambiance was nice. The servers were kind but the tables were a little dirty.

Always on my radar finally this morning had a chance to check out Island Vintage Coffee. Got there once they opened around 8:00am no line so it was great . Service was fast and friendly I ordered their hot White chocolate mocha latte. It was very mild and wasn't too sweet like some places . This lsland Vintage is located near the food court ground floor off to the side of center stage . They also have a nice selection of coffee beans along with merchandise.

Frozen Matcha Green Tea & Vintage Kona Mocha

Had heard good things about this chain and finally got the chance to try it when shopping at the Ala Moana Mall. A friend and I got the Frozen Matcha Green Tea with Whipped Cream and a Vintage Kona Mocha with Whipped Cream. I'm giving this place 4/5 stars only because I don't think two frozen drinks are enough to judge a coffee shop fully, but the drinks we had were fantastic. Exactly what we were looking for on a hot day, the Matcha Green Tea tasted pretty similar to the version Starbucks offers, but with a slightly stronger umami flavor. The Mocha was also delicious and had a good semisweet chocolate flavor - not too sweet or too bitter.

hawaiian coffee is the best at this location!!

the hawaiian coffee here is soooooo so good. I've tried it at other cafes and even other island vintage chains and i think they make it the best here! I get the hawaiian coffee with oat milk and it has the perfect amount of sweetness. it's very spacious with lots of seating here as well. highly recommend this location!

Ask the Community - Island Vintage Coffee

Is this place good to do work remote?

I don't think it is. Small space. Tables close to one another side by side (no privacy) and a line of customers in the middle of the store. Lots of tourists and people needing seats.

Is the Vintage Kona Mocha available again? It's been out of stock for the past two times we've been back to Hawaii?

Is this location less crowded than the Waikiki location? What's the average time in line?

I think so. went there and there was no line. Granted it was a thursday....

Website says they open at 6am, Google maps says 6am, Yelp says 10am. What are the correct hours?

Thanks for your question! The Ala Moana hours are 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM everyday except Sunday. Sundays are from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Where is Island Vintage located in Ala Moana mall?

They were located just next door for the center stage area on the bottom floor of the mall. Easiest way to find it is to look for the center stage (where they have have the hula shows), as you face the stage, the coffee shop is on the right side of…

Super late review -…read more I'm sad. I really wanted to love this place but I just couldn't. I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.

It initially wasn't on my list, so I told her I'd hit it up if I could. The next day, she texted me again. I gave her another non-committal response. And the day after that, she reminded me again. She told me she occasionally dreams about the acai bowls here. I knew if I didn't go, I'd get a text from her every day. ACAI BOWL - 18 The acai bowl was topped with the typical fruit options: strawberry, blueberry, and banana. However, the acai wasn't soupy and gloopy like usual. Instead, it came in scoops, almost like sorbet. The server also told me I could add whatever toppings I waned, including coconut flakes, chia seeds, granola, chocolate shavings, and honey. I loved how cold and smooth the acai was. It truly felt like eating ice cream. I have no idea how they got it to have such a velvety texture, but it was incredibly unique compared to other acai bowls I'd tried. I personally thought the honey made it a little too sweet and took away from the acai flavor, but every other topping was fair game. The fruit was fresh and delicious. Overall, this was an incredibly solid acai bowl. I can't say I would dream about it, but I do think about it fondly as I'm writing this review. The staff were also super nice and friendly. When I came back a couple days later with my friends, one of the servers even remembered us, much to our surprise since the three of us are pretty generic-looking. Overall, fantastic acai bowls and attentive staff. We loved our visits to Waffle & Berry!

Not bad but not the best loco moco I've had. Papaya boat with almond butter & goji berries- Papaya was sweet and refreshing served cold, but heavily doused in almond butter. Perhaps a side of cracker or two papaya halves should be served for the amount of almond butter. Prices were high. $9 for a cup of coffee and all of the food is over $15 each. Island Vintage serves a wide selection of food, coffee and acai bowls at very Hawaiian prices. I do feel there are better places to eat on the island but if you're already in the area and theres no line, I would say go for it. I wouldn't wait more than 20 minutes for it though.
