Mild chicken wings extra crispy
Cori B.

I ordered my food through GrubHub. And let me start off by saying everything was correct. The chicken wings were done how I like them. (Extra Crispy) I also got two hoagies, one steak, and one turkey and bacon. I wish I could give them a 4.5 because the food was delicious and spot on, just very messy. The wing sauce was all over the place. I opened the bag and that's all you seen, was wing sauce everywhere. I order from here alot and they seem to put out their food consistently. Which means alot considering how fast they are working. Overall it was a great experience and I will continue to order from them.

I was unhappy with the fact that all the wing sauce was in the bag instead of inside the wing carton. The pizza was ok.

You know the expression, "pizza is like sex, even when it's bad it's good?" That's not always true. This pizza is never very good.

After we parked the car, we walked in the back door of restaurant , off the parking lot, where we were faced with two flights of very steep stairs, so we decided to walk up the driveway in order to walk into the front entrance. Our table was ready for us and our waitress was wonderful. The bread with seasoned dipping oil was very good, as was the seafood bisque. The rest of the meal was terrible. I ordered scallops with homemade pasta, sweet peas, and prosciutto. The pasta was very greasy. It tasted like the scallops and peas were fried in bacon grease and poured over the pasta. There were 3 very small, flat scallops in my dish. The meal was very salty with crunchy pieces of bacon bits. As my meal started to cool off there were small chunks of grease forming on my peas. My friend's pasta dish was blah. As far as ambiance, the music was too loud, and the lighting was poor. it was difficult to read the bill. Very pricey meal for what we got. Not going back. Very disappointed especially since it was my 83rd birthday.

The restaurant is broken up into 3 rooms- with a tight squeeze doorway between them - watch out for servers with a load of dishes ! They only serve certain meals on certain days so you have to look up their menu online before you go. The disappointing part is I always work the same days so I never get to eat certain things. The place is small and cozy and they run out of popular dishes fast so if you want to make sure you get what you want, and a seat, I would get there around the time they open. Their prices are beyond reasonable and the food is even better! Rocky's is a staple in Rochester and we love coming here.

We were so thankful for the early seating! We came in a little early as suggested, for our 8pm reservation of 9 and sure enough they were able to seat us right away at around 7:30! From the moment we were seated to the end of our meal EVERYTHING was 100% excellent!! Shout out to Ann for taking such great care of us! She was on top of everything! Friendly and attentive...didn't miss a beat! Her recommendations were spot on! From the appetizers to the main course! All were amazing! Her #1 recommendations were the calamari Sicilian style and the greens & beans BOTH were so tasty! And the greens and beans were so amazing, my uncle ordered them for his main course! The meatballs with ricotta were delicious as well as the antipasto salad. Everyone loved their dinners!! My capellini with the white clam sauce was wonderful! My husband loved his manicotti! The others in our group absolutely loved their meals too! Veal Parmesan, veal piccata, chicken French... what a crazy awesome dinner! We even forced ourselves to order desserts to pass around! The tiramisu and cannolis were amazing! A very popular place that has been enjoyed by locals for over 35 years! So glad we came here while visiting family in Rochester! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Luckily for us we had server Anne, she was amazingly efficient, but friendly, warm & patient.she took care of our group like a pro. Now, back to veal french, i wish i had ordered the chicken. The veal came with a light & eggy batter, swimming in a wine sauce, that seemed very thin for being called a sauce. It had the texture of a broth, and did not have much body to it. Like the skipped the mounting butter stage. I still loved it, we really enjoyed the lively ambiance. We'll be back someday

The environment was small but open, feeling like you had somehow found the nicest little gem. And the food was immaculate. Every bite felt like 3, both complex and yet not overwhelming. We almost enjoyed the sides more than the entree (almost). So much attention to detail was put into it, and yet it was still reasonably priced enough to go again. Will have to make this our new anniversary spot.

On the reservation form (online) it doesn't mention needing to place a comment in the notes for special occasions that you'd like a booth- so unfortunately, even though the place was pretty empty upon arrival we were unable to have a booth - the hostess said "had I known by you placing that request in the comments section online I might have been able to secure you a booth- but it's not guaranteed." - wait, what?? Not sure why they take online reservations then. Started dinner with a salad which was delicious and bread that was pretty basic and unfortunately the oil that they served with it was a simple and nothing special. For our entrees, my partner had the dual filets, which I'm sorry to report were seasoned with so much pepper that it took away from the steaks themselves. I had the salmon wrapped in bacon- which was superb. My partner had wished he had gotten it after trying one compared to his and after tasting his steak I'd have to agree it would have been a better choice. Hoping if we try this again it will be a better experience. Staff were nice, but not very welcoming. Decor could use some upgrades. Not sure if I would recommend.

We usually start with the garlic bread, which comes warm and paired with marinara sauce--simple, but really well done. I've worked my way through a few of their pasta dishes, but the spicy rigatoni is easily my go-to. It has the right balance of heat and flavor without being overwhelming. The setting is a big plus as well--being right by the bay gives it a nice view and a laid-back feel that makes it great for both casual dinners and slightly nicer nights out. The only real downside I've noticed is that service can be slow at times. That said, it feels more like they're understaffed than an issue with the servers themselves, who have always been polite and attentive once they get to you. Overall, it's a place I keep coming back to for the food and the atmosphere.

Boss Fights and Bites Review - Pane Vino on the Avenue…read more "Welcome back to Boss Fights and Bites -- where we take on the battles of flavor one bite at a time. Today, we're stepping into Pane Vino on the Avenue, and this one was special because we came here to celebrate my wife's birthday." "Right away, Pane Vino gives you that intimate, date-night kind of feel. The lighting is low, the atmosphere is calm, and it feels like a place where you're meant to sit back, take your time, and enjoy the moment. It's not loud or chaotic -- it's relaxed, comfortable, and welcoming." "The service matched that same energy. The staff was friendly, attentive, and never rushed us. They checked in when needed, made sure everything was good, and let us enjoy the night. When you're celebrating something important like a birthday, that kind of service really matters." "Before the food even came out, they brought the bread to the table -- and honestly, that deserves its own mention." "The bread was warm, fresh, and soft on the inside with a nice crust. Paired with the butter, parmesan, and olive oil, it was one of those appetizers you keep reaching for without realizing it. Simple, but done right -- and that's always a good sign." "Now let's talk about the food -- because that's the main fight." "We ordered the chicken parm, and presentation-wise, it came out looking exactly how you want it to. A generous portion, nicely plated, and you can tell right away this isn't something that was thrown together." "The chicken itself was thick and cooked properly. The breading had a nice crisp to it without being greasy, and the inside was tender and juicy -- not dry at all. That balance is key with chicken parm, and they nailed it." "The sauce was well done. Not too sweet, not too acidic -- it complemented the chicken instead of overpowering it. You could taste everything working together instead of one flavor taking over." "And the cheese? Melted evenly across the top, good coverage, no burnt spots, no rubbery texture. Each bite stayed together and felt intentional, which tells you the kitchen takes pride in what they're putting out." "Overall, the chicken parm was classic, comforting, and executed well. No gimmicks -- just solid Italian food done right." "So here's my verdict: Food quality -- strong. Service -- consistent and professional. Atmosphere -- perfect for a date night or special occasion." **"Now let's put some numbers to it. Food: 8.5 out of 10. Service: 9 out of 10. Atmosphere: 9 out of 10. Overall rating for Pane Vino on the Avenue: 8.8 out of 10."** "That's my take -- now I want to hear from you. Have you been to Pane Vino? What's your go-to Italian dish? Drop it in the comments, and don't forget to like and subscribe for more reviews, only on Boss Fights and Bites."

I had made our…read morereservation for 5pm (earliest reservation time) and upon arrival we were the only ones there, with the exception of one patron eating and drinking at the bar. We were greeted by the hostess, that I believe was either the owner or part manager of the restaurant. She sat us down and gave us menus (didn't mention the specials) and then proceeded to go and turn on all of the Christmas decorations in the restaurant and tell us about her deals when purchasing all of them. Finally upon her return the waitress took our drink orders and when I asked she gave us the listing of specials for the evening. My niece had a specialty mocktail that was described as having a "hint" of lavender- turns out the other items were done with a hint and all my niece (and I tasted) was the strong presence of lavender. For appetizers we ordered fried calamari that came with the typical red sauce- the fried calamari was good, but nothing special. We also ordered the lamp lollipops for an additional app and let me just say- they were the BEST part about our dinner! Perfectly cooked to medium rare and seasoned and grilled to perfection. It was my neices first time trying them and she said she couldn't wait to have them again. For our main dishes, my niece had the penne vodka- which was "okay" but really lacked on favor, nothing really special about it. I honestly think she makes it better at home. For my entree I had the Salmon- which came with a very thick strawberry sauce over the top of it. My fish was cooked perfectly and tasted great- without the thick "strawberry like" sauce over the top of it (I ended up scraping it off of the fish. I also wasn't a fan of the black rice-it had a very off putting smell and after having my first taste decided one bite was enough.
