I was walking on the Monon Trail and decided to stop into Mary Mountain's cookies on the way home to pick up a couple cookies. I had wanted to try this cookie place in Carmel, and I was impressed with the variety of cookies again in the shop. The ambiance is very nice and the cookie display was very impressive with a variety of flavors available to choose from to enjoy. I decided to go with the frosted Oreo cookie and the peanut butter cup dream cookie. The woman was very nice and professional behind the counter, and took care of my order. The cookies were wonderful! The frosted Oreo cookie had a little too much frosting, and not an Oreo taste to it, but it was still delicious. The peanut butter cup dream cookie was a party in my mouth. It tasted incredible and loved every bite I took out of the cookie. This is an excellent cookie place in Carmel and everyone should come experience Mary Mountain's cookies. They are terrific!

Order a bag of cookies to go and brought them home for the kids. They didn't last long, which means they were excellent. Will be back for more in the near future.

Mary and her Mountain Cookies are honestly my top 2 cookies that I have ever had! They have a wonderful display and many different cookie/ sweet treat options! I ALWAYS have to get an Oatmeal Scotchie - this is my all-time favorite cookie that they have here. They have a wide selection of wonderfully crafted cookies - from seasonal cookies to your classic Chocolate Chip. Also, if you haven't had their Brookie, then you are missing out! They also have Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches as well as Cookie Sandwiches with Icing in between. The staff are always super nice and each time you walk in, you are hit with a wall of fresh-baked cookie smell. If you are in downtown Carmel for any occasion, you must stop in and try this wonderful place!

My son and I stopped in after his baseball game on Saturday. We both grabbed an ice cream sandwich. Made with two fresh cookies and a lot of ice cream. Highly recommend!

Randomly stumbled upon this shop on Main Street Carmel and I was happy to see a dessert shop that wasn't ice cream available! We were the only customers and the woman working was very attentive. I opted for the peanut butter bar cookie and the salted Carmel while my husband has the oatmeal raisin and Oreo cream cookie. The cookies where large and rich in flavor. Some of the icing seems a bit artificially sweet, but they were fine cookies. Because of their size, the cost was rather expensive, but no different than crumble cookies. It's a great option for Main Street!

I decided to stop in after walking by so many times! I got the snickerdoodle and frosted almond pumpkin cookie. The snickerdoodle was so soft and delicious. The sugar cookie had a good flavor and was soft but tasted a little artificial to me. I'd go back and try other flavors next time.

My dog was getting her nails cut next door and I noticed they opened a Mary's Mountain Cookies here in Indy! It's a chain, they have them in Fort Collins, Colorado, where I used to live, and in the Western states. I walked in around 2:00 and 2 girls were waiting in line. I think someone called out from the back they would be right there. When the person came to help the girls, they weren't very friendly, just asked what flavors they wanted etc. I believe it was the owner. I was honestly turned off by the lack of service and excitement for customers coming into a new store. Everything looked great, but I honestly just left without buying anything. I may try coming back again another time, just today I was turned off, unfortunately. I'm sure it's amazing.

WOW! I've been waiting for a new dessert spot on Main Street and boy did this place deliver! They have a huge selection of flavors with some really fun special ones. The cookies were about $4 each so a little pricey, but they're large and very filling. All the cookies were super soft and moist with a lot of flavor. The PB Cup was very sweet and the frosting was great. The M&M was my favorite. Check this place out! A wonderful addition to Carmel!

Delicious and freshly made cookies. Never disappointed with the quality and taste. Reasonably priced for the size of each cookie.

So delicious! I've tried several varieties and each one isn't Astor's than the last. Soft, not sickeningly sweet, and yummy.

I got a chicken parm and a meatball parm a few cookies, an espresso and an Italian hot chocolate.. My question, like someone else had wrote below about the bakery goods. The place is way to small to make in house. Most of the cake slices and mini treats are obviously pre packaged. So I wonder where they get the goods from and how long they sit before they renew. The service was good. Counter help was polite and pleasant. I grew up in the 70s and 80s in the North East and remember the smells of the food, bread and baked goods being made IN HOUSE. Stacco House had none of this. If I was blindfolded walking in I would never know I was in an Italian Bakery. It had more of a smell of a standard coffee house. Stacco passed, but in a way that was sort of disappointing. If you are going to call yourself authentic cuisine maybe try a little harder then to just have some Dean Martin playing in the background. It was almost Olive garden-ish. Sorry if I am offending anyone but when you have had real, you know what real is. Also, the nail in the coffin..... The business card. The Italian flag, from the flag pole out is green white red. The card has it on an angel as red white green. If the flag is draped vertical, green is on the top.

She told me about the cookies and drinks they have. The drinks sounded interesting so I thought I'd try one out. I asked the worker for her recommendation and she told me her favorite drink was the Full Blitz. The base was sprite mixed with some fruity flavors. It sounded good, so I purchased that. It didn't take her long to make it, and the color of the drink was pretty. I was happy with the selection because it was delicious, I thanked the worker for her recommendation. They offer different sizes, I went with the smallest which was a 16oz and it cost a little under $4. I noticed the inside isn't too big, and it looked more like you grab and go here. I didn't see any inside seating for dining in, although outside had a table so could be an option for when the weather is nice. Parking for this location is street parking, they have spots right out front, and it is free. They change cookie flavors every Friday morning.

The service when I got to the shop was awesome. My order was ready to go. However, this is where things changed. I ordered the lemon poppyseed. Now, if I was just ordering a poppyseed cookie, this would've been nine out of 10 there was crispness to the edges, soft middle, but not too soft and also not too sweet's a really solid cookie. However, since I went into it thinking this was gonna be lemon including lemon icing drizzle on the top I did not smell lemon when I first smelled the cookie and I did not taste any lemon in the cookie itself so I have to say that my review went from 9 to 5 out of 10 because I love lemon flavor and almost never does anyone have enough lemon flavor. in this case there wasn't any. Highly disappointed crave. Onto the next cookie, I ordered the mango sticky rice because the ingredients looked awesome and the concept sounded good There are big chunks of mango in every bite. I believe these are dried mango pieces. I think fresh mango would've tasted better, but probably would've led to a much more wet cookie. This cookie was pretty dense. It was not as soft as the first cookie however, it was also not very sweet which was good. I would probably order this again.

The raspberry pistachio croissant? Oh. My. God. This thing had me in a chokehold. Flaky, buttery layers with the perfect balance of tart raspberry and rich pistachio. It wasn't just good -- it was write-home-about-it good. The kind of pastry that makes you pause mid-bite and question every other croissant you've ever had. The second was a croissant sandwich (I wish I could remember the name!), but the way those flavors paired together? Let's just say it was a full culinary experience. Savory, balanced, indulgent -- you get the hint. Every bite just made sense. Now here's the part that really says something: I grew up on the East Coast where authentic French bakeries are everywhere and the cultural standard is high. I know a proper croissant. And this? This was better. Yes, I said it. We even had the chance to speak with the owner, who was incredibly warm and genuine. He checked in to make sure we enjoyed everything -- which we clearly did, considering we left with boxes to take home. This place isn't just a pastry shop. It's an experience. And trust me, it will be a topic of discussion in our house for days. Run. Don't walk.
