I ordered cookies directly through Insomnia's website on New Year's Eve after the site indicated delivery was available. The order was never delivered -- not on NYE or New Year's Day -- despite tracking well into the night. When I called today to request a refund, the experience was shockingly unprofessional. I was told, "Yeah, ordering on New Year's probably wasn't a good idea, we get swamped," as if I should somehow know or be responsible for internal capacity issues. If delivery isn't feasible, it should not be offered on the website. When I chose to cancel the order, I was then told, "Yeah, I don't really want to give you cookies anyway." That comment alone speaks volumes about the lack of customer service and accountability. I was blamed for the business's failure to fulfill an order they accepted and advertised. Cute little storefront- you order to go and they have gluten free options and milk because what goes better with cookies than cold milk? I warmed mine up when I got home and we ate all 6 that day. I think they are very close to a homemade cookie taste and much better than other competitor chains. My favorites were the mint chocolate and the red velvet (seasonal). I want to love Insomnia cookies I really do but they make it hard when they place their nutritional ingredients so hard to find that you have to download a PDF for each cookie to see it. Its a step in the right direction that they have more vegan cookies but their ingredient list is very bad. Especially all of the food coloring. I enjoyed my visit to Insomnia Cookies. I saw that they offer something called a Cookiewich: your choice of two warm cookies with your choice of ice cream in between. They serve it on a small plate with a plastic spoon. The flavor was great with the chocolate chip in the cookie being somewhat melted and the Moose Tracks ice cream juxtaposed with its cool crunch. The only problem is eating it. The cookiewich was to thick to get a proper bite and the plastic spoons aren't sharp enough to cut through. I ended up deconstructing the treat eating the cookie by hand (you WILL need napkins) and ice cream by spoon. Very friendly gal behind the counter who was very helpful and even asked if there was enough ice cream. Lots of flavors of cookies are available individually or in groups. Ice cream too!
