This place is super cute, the girls are all friendly i love that everything is pink and girly! Their coffee is delicious as well as their shakes and energy drinks. I come to this location because it is closest to me, but there's is an awful assistant manager that runs the cashier with just the most terrible attitude! A few times she has given me and my mother a disgusting attitude but today when we were next in line she turned her back to make a chuckle with one of the girls. It made me and my mom feel very uninvited and unappreciated. She's also have a fake smirk when my mom still proceeded to tip her she is ungrateful, unprofessional, and has the worst "assistant manager" attitude I've ever encountered!!! read more

Ugh!!! This place focuses on sugar!! They offer tons of super sweet drinks that hardly taste like there is any coffee in them. Even their regular coffee isn't very tasteful. They fill their plastic cups almost to the top with ice, so you hardly get any beverage. Dunkin Donuts is better than this, but Coffee Break beats them both in flavor and in price. Delicious! Sometimes you just want something simple and delicious. I'm visiting Hingham for the weekend and have already been to Marylou's 4 times. The iced coffee here is really special. I love Mary Lou's - I started with a funky funabla and have transitioned to the gone bananas. But most of all, I love the manager (pretty sure she's the manager or one of them). She's beyond friendly but most importantly she remembers me, my daughters and my drink. I saw her for the first time in months the other day and she was so thrilled to see us. It feels nice to be recognized by a small business when you're a regular. I was going to Starbucks for a few months (just for a change), and the same guy took my order every day, didn't remember my drink, didn't remember my name, and I eventually stopped going there for that among other reasons (like they only give you 50% of your latte). But I've since returned to my Mary Lou's because I just love the service so much. Really makes a difference so I've come to realize. read more

I guess you really have to try everything to find something you like. The coffees aren't really specified into categories, so sometimes you're in for a surprise if you're straying away from the usual. Some of the coffees, I guess the specialty drinks, are really sweet. From what I can see, it is mixed with things like chocolate and syrups along with flavored coffee. Whenever I get one of these drinks, I can drink it "black". The other coffees though, such as french vanilla or any other normal flavor, isn't as good as I hoped it would be. I have tried it numerous times and it tastes very bitter to me. The service is decent, most of the girls are nice but some of them are far from it. Also, pretty pricey for a coffee that costs less than 50 cents to make. read more

Mary Lou's does serve the best coffee in town! My favorites are the Girl Scout cookie iced coffee and their another one of their specialities iced funky fanabla. Even their French vanilla iced coffee is fresher and much more superior to other coffee chains. read more

Marylou's coffee is always my go to coffee of choice! In my opinion, it falls between Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks price (and taste) wise. And with the selection of flavors that they offer, you can't go wrong! They offer such a large variety of flavors, that there is one (or two or three!) flavors for everyone! The service as this Marylou's is also pretty good most of the time! I would recommend them! read more

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Marylous! Your options are endless... and I love the Granite Market However...the Marylous staff in this location are a bit.......spiteful. I'm not sure if it's a little harsh to say but hear me out. If you are not from the SouthShore and want to try great ice coffee...Marylous is one of the places to go. Try to avoid this one, because the staff will give you a bad impression. The key phrase here is "you all set..." Once in a while you'll get a smile. Your iced coffee here will either be hit or miss...I'm from Quincy but sometimes I'd hike down to Holbrook or Braintree to make sure my iced coffee would be a hit. My coffee order is milk and sugar...this specific one time my coffee looked great but when I took that first sip I swore I drank liquid sugar. I assume her normal coffee is extra extra (seems like the typical teen thing) ....and she thinks that is normal. You also think if you go in the middle of the day when everyone is at work or at school you'd be in and out in a flash. Nope...these girls tend to talk to friends and hope that someone else would pause their conversation so you can continue with theirs. I give this two stars because it's Marylous...Would I be back? Yes, but thats because it's my closest Marylous...but there are better. I'm not trying to trash this location, but I hope this rating will help them train their staff better. read more

Growing up on the South Shore there are a few things that you can always count on. Traffic heading to the Cape on Fridays all summer, fewer snow days than you really want, and Marylou's being the best coffee in town. The low budget commercials starring people I knew in high school really don't do it justice by any means. Anytime we are heading to the South Shore for ANYTHING, we make sure we stop at this Marylou's. The parking lot is a mess, and there's always a girl in sweatpants and last night's makeup in line in front of you not paying attention to anything but her text messages, but once you order your coffee and get back in the car it was worth any aggravation. Almond Joy is my go-to, but lately I've been jonesing for Girl Scout Cookie. Funky Fanabla is pretty good too. Definitely worth the pit stop. read more

Just went for my first time to Mary Lou's and I have to say I'm so happy! I told the girl who helped me I had never been there before so she immediately told me all about the coffee. When I told her I'm a decaf girl, she named off a while bunch of other flavors they do in decaf that weren't on the menu. I went with funny bone because those are one of my guilty pleasures. It's so good! And it doesn't that've that gross flavor shot taste. I also got a breakfast sandwich, which was pretty good too! I love Marylou coffee because they flavor the beans without adding sugar or chemicals. This location loses a star due to the small parking area/ no drive thru set up. It's usually busy but they are always fully staffed and the girls working there are generally pleasant. read more

I love Marylou's coffee, but I can only have it once in awhile. You could say it's somewhat of a treat. They have so many options for flavors, but I always stick with the specialty flavors, or gourmet flavors. The mocha or cocoa they use is delicious, but sometimes a little heavy, and that's why I can only go once in awhile. It's a great location, right off the highway., and is also connected to the Granite Market, which is great. The one thing I would have to mention is that sometimes the staff seems a little preoccupied, or just all over the place for better words. The second you walk in you have more than one girl asking if you are all set. Usually, I'm very happy with my Marylou's experience, but the last time I went in for a coffee, I was a little taken aback by the way I was spoken to. There always seems to be 6, 7, maybe even 8 girls behind the counter. I understand it's a busy place, but I never know where the voices are coming from when asked for my order. This time, when it came to be my turn to order, I heard a voice from somewhere asking if I was all set. Since this person was no where near me, I figured she was speaking to someone else. When she repeated "Are you all set," this time seeming rather annoyed, I realized she was speaking to me. While she was making my coffee, (which again, delicious. No complaints there.) I guess another girl said she could help me pay. Only after hearing "Excuse me??" did I realize she was speaking to me. She asked what I ordered, I paid, got my coffee, and left. Don't get me wrong, I love Marylou's and the coffee. However, I am a customer, and I don't appreciate feeling as if I am being a nuisance for not responding in 5 seconds flat. read more

I go to this location every day before work since it is right up the street from my house. I use to feel comfortable going in and getting my coffee but one of the employees (who I get stuck with a lot) is not friendly at all. She never greets me and has the worst attitude. I have been a regular here for years and I must say Susan and the girls do a very good job. Most of the time my coffee is ready for me before I can even say anything, and even when I do order it still comes out great. The coffee here may be fine, but it's mostly a mismatch for my tastes. I tend to prefer strong black coffee, and the drinks here are pretty much lots of flavors with the actual coffee as an afterthought. That being said, I did drink through my entire large iced decaf cinnamon coffee with milk and splenda - the coffee did not really come through, but the sweet and cinnamon did. Service is fast, but I've only been here on weekends and it may be busier during weekday morning rush. read more
