Good spot for breakfast. Eggs, potatoes, and bacon were cooked well, the toast was not swimming in butter. Service was really good. While the biscuits and gravy were made from scratch, the gravy was missing that sausage flavor I enjoy. Just FYI, this place is cash only. This local breakfast joint is super friendly and you get such a bang for your buck. The only thing is it's cash only but they have an ATM machine for you to use. Our waitress (I'm assuming the wife of the owner) is really friendly and attentive and took really good care of us. The coffee was fresh and the portions are so big that I couldn't finish everything. I was pleasantly surprised at this little country Cafe. From the outside it doesn't look as cozy but step inside and you feel right at home. We ordered chicken friend steak breakfast with biscuit and gravy which was delicious. Home cooking done right. Priced right and great service. Please note that most of the poor reviews of Mary's are pretty old. First, there is a lot of parking for trucks and RV's. Mary's does not look like much from the outside, but it is nice and cozy inside. The place is old but clean. Our waitress was very friendly, fast and cheerful. She paid close attention to the level of coffee in the cups. We both had the Country Ben. Biscuit with eggs, gravy and hash browns. The food came out hot. The portions are large. The harsh browns were really good, as was the sausage gravy and eggs. If you are staying at one two RV parks near by Mary's was be a nice break from doing your own cooking. Stopped here on way to California. Food tasted ok. Was over $60 for family to eat breakfast, so a little high to me. Service was good. This place is a hidden treasure!! I've passed it every day for months now and finally stopped by after reading yelp reviews. The service was super friendly, the prices are very reasonable, the portions are large and the food was delicious. It's cash only which I didn't know but luckily had money in my car. For 2 meals plus a giant cinnamon roll which is delicious and can feed 4-5 people it was only 29 dollars. You get your bang for your buck here. I will definitely be going there again! read more

We came into town for the weekend from Scottsdale and wanted a good home cooked breakfast. Decided to go to Mary's right up the street from where we were staying. Not one was the food amazing but atmosphere was super cute and the waitress (Becky) was so super sweet. Could not have been nicer! Any place of business should accept card... the fact Marys doesn't should've been a warning sign... I oredered a breakfast burrito and split a cinnamon roll with my wife. Burrito was sub par and cinnamon roll must have been over 2 days old. Stale amd extremely dry i couldn't even stomach trying to eat it. Since i was still hungry i decided i would try to finish my sons pancakes... who can mess those up?!?!? Obviously the cook at Mary's found a way... dry, dense and tasting of bisquick! Mary's has gone downhill over the past 6+ years. As a family we found it convenient to stop at Mary's cafe and feed all 6 of us. A few years ago we stopped and had a bad experience with poor food quality and service. As the family passed through Flagstaff once again, we decided to give Mary's another try. Our Navajo Taco was burnt (and tasted burnt - think of burnt popcorn). My eggs were sunny side up although I ordered them over-medium. Perfect hash browns and bacon though. Service was good and the environment was relaxing and casual (which we love). The other 3 dishes were all great. Mary's is "okay" but compared to many years ago, it's not holding up to the standard the owners set back in 2010-ish. I really wanted to give only 2 stars but the people and the environment are great so I'm sticking with 3 out of 5. Not sure I will make it back since I'm not a local. read more

Stopped in here for breakfast prior to traveling to the GC. They were not busy being a weekday but that didn't stop the food from coming out fresh and tasty. The kiddos enjoyed their pancakes and French toast. I had the huevos rancheros and truly enjoyed it, that house salsa went perfectly with the dish.
