Although it still says "Mas Fuego" there is new management and people running it. The place is now ran by "El Tito". Outside the parking lot area is pretty big and they have tons of parking. They are also right off the freeway. If you'd like traditional Mexican food, Mexican seafood, this is your place. This is my second time going. This time around I got the sushi. I got the super Tito roll. It was delicious and the rice had a nice crunch to it. This type of sushi is called the Sinaloa type sushi. They specialize in Sinaloa type food here. From their bar, I got a nice Paloma, which was pretty good and balanced flavor. The ambience inside is really nice. They have tables from big to small and if you want your own private room, they also have an upstairs level as well. Every Friday night sometimes Saturdays they also have live music. Very Disappointing Food and Service The menu here is all over the place--sushi, Japanese dishes, pasta, Mexican food--and honestly, that should have been the first clue that things weren't going to go well. We ordered chicken enchiladas with mole sauce, and the mole was terrible. I love mole and order it often, but this was one of the worst I've ever had. The enchiladas had no cheese, and they were cold. My 18-year-old daughter ordered the rojo enchiladas, and hers were cold too. I couldn't even eat them. The rice was hard, had a strange flavor, and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. It was just unpleasant all around. I'm sorry, but the food was simply not good. The service wasn't any better. It took about 15 minutes after we were seated before anyone came to our table, and we didn't receive any refills the entire meal. Overall, I cannot recommend this place. First time here. Very eclectic and a small traditional menu. Lots of "sushi" rolls that looked interesting but I wish they had smaller portions that could be ordered as appetizers. I ordered the tostada de ceviche appetizer which was very large and tasted good. Then I got three tacos; shrimp, fish, & carnitas. All were very large and very good. For dessert, I had a churro which didn't have any cinnamon or sugar on the outside yet I saw a chef putting it on someone's else's churro. My ice cream was in a separate bowl and half melted. Service from Mirta was excellent but instead of asking if I wanted to close out when I finished my meal, she should have asked if I wanted anything else like dessert, which I did. It's called upselling. I also had a good view of the chefs and they were doing an amazing job. Everything was fresh and prepared on the spot. Fresh vegetables were sliced and diced, fresh limes squeezed, and great care was taken to prepare every meal. The chefs were very proficient. Prices are on the high side but worth it. Definitely would go back. As a side note, please get someone to fix the spelling, grammar, and spacing errors in the menu. I was invited for an event here and was able to sample some of their best sellers. Some were made specially for the event that might not be exactly the same as the regular menu. -Flauta Taquitos was flavorful they did not skimp on the cheese and sauce. I love the crunch and the pickled onions elevated this dish. -Grilled Elotes was a nice appetizer sweet and tasty I'll prolly try a different appetizer next time. -Birria was made crunchy outside perfect potion of meat and tortilla I love the dip that comes with it. -Chips and Guac with lechon - the lechon definitely upgraded this dish it was cooked to perfection it was flavorful and crunchy! The classic margarita was good, but I would prefer a regular classic over the mason jar. It didn't fit with the upscale vibe Mas Fuego is going for. I had strawberry spicy margarita which I'd never had and was very good so my friend ordered after his first mezcal margarita. First time here on a random Saturday night and I had been wanting to try them for a while. We were seated quickly and served very quickly too! The inside is very spacious and clean. There is also an upstairs area for private events. The staff was all very attentive and patient with us, kept checking in with us which was appreciated. I stopped at this location in Natomas for their happy hour I am so happy that I did, I came in there with one of my friends before I had to drop her off to the airport, as she was celebrating her birthday! EJ who worked in the bar area took excellent care of my friend and I! The service was definitely superb! The happy hour menu had plenty of varieties. Popped in randomly at an odd hour so they weren't super busy. We ordered calamari, taquitos, burrito and kids quesadilla. Everything came out at the same time but they didn't bring a sauce for the taquitos. I asked her for some and then had to ask again- didn't come until our food was gone. I was hungry and could only hold off for so long... the taquitos were cold by the time I started eating them (without sauce). They were dry and potatoes inside weren't cooked all the way. The burrito was small, they cut it at an angle and stood it up on the plate with a very light salsa drizzle around. It is unfortunate that they cared more about plating- the salsa was actually good but since it was a drizzle around the plate you could barely get it on the burrito. Lots of parking. Came here a few weeks after their soft opening. The wait time was 45 min but online the reservation was quicker to get in so I did reservations online to get seated faster. The location is great. It's nestled in between other restaurants in the area. The interior is nice and bright. It's a bit loud and busy inside. There is an upstairs banquet area. The parking lot is a bit on the smaller size for how busy it can get. There are signs that say not to leave valuables in your car so visitors be aware. The men's restroom was very clean and modern. They even have a mirror that can change light color! We went during their "soft opening", so like before they were actually opened with a full menu and staff. The staff is still very new and figuring the layout and general duties of the restaurant out. I wouldn't knock them down a star because they weren't even officially opened yet! It was like a practice run day. I will be back to see what the service is like once they are officially opened and fully operational. It was funny that the fire alarm went off during our meal, it really gave it that "Fuego" experience. The food was delicious. Quite honestly, the tacos were some of the best I've had in a while. They surpass street taco standards with their flavor. You can taste the love that the food was prepared with. The meat was almost buttery and they packed it into the tacos. The salsas are also decently good and spicy. The price is about average for what you would expect for a dine in restaurant. I'd say you can expect to walk out of here for around $35 for a dinner for two. Bottom line/TLDR: great addition to the Natomas restaurant scene. read more

Ate here during their Soft Opening period. The parking stalls are a little small outside so be aware of that. To preface this, we arrived at around 7pm, so around the middle of the dinner rush. When we got inside, there was nobody to greet us and we stood at the Host's station for a good five minutes while servers and runners glanced at us (not a good start). When we were finally helped and sat, our waiter didn't arrive at our table for another 10 minutes. Food came by relatively quickly, but although we were only two people, all four plates were left on our table making it very awkward and no space for us to eat. The appetizer came out with the entrees at the same time. Whenever i opened up the utensils, all four of the forks had old food on them and were not clean. As you can guess, we had to wait another 5 minutes before the server came by and we could get utensils. The food itself was better than mediocre but less than good. Maybe it's because it was no longer fresh, or maybe it was because the tortillas were undercooked. The shrimp tacos were the best thing here. The inside was very clean and spacious, and I'm excited to have another fun dining place in Natomas, but I'd wait till they hire more people and work out the issues with their service and food. One positive i did enjoy is the amount of space and privacy they give each of the tables. There's enough room for everyone to have a private convo (although between booths there was a kid from the other table staring at us. Should have something between booth seats to deter eye contact.
