Was visiting the area from Boston and craved Indian. Glad I went here. I got takeout and was surprised at the generous portions. Taste was great - all nicely spiced. eat here if you have to have fresh food perfectly cooked, lovely service, and lovely music. it's hard to find momo around here, & so I get the chicken momos every time. the chutney served with this is so tasty I could eat it alone. likewise, the Samosas and sauces are a must have, as is the mango lassi. everyone else seems to love it to. never had an entree that I didn't love. another nice touch was customized Rogan Josh-couldn't decide between lamb or goat, so cook made combo: I'm now hooked. naans are always delicious, & mulligatawny soup is delicious way to get veggies, like medicine on cold raw days. I went to Masala last night and it was so good that I'm going again tomorrow. And most likely the day after tomorrow. And this weekend. My husband and I ordered the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, onion bhaji, basmati rice, and the veggie samosas. Everything was delicious and I didn't leave a single scrap of food behind. The prices are super reasonable, too. Our entire check was $37! I ate like a queen for $37! In conclusion, this place is the best and you should eat here ASAP before I eat all the food. read more

So disappointing.. I love love indian food and rarely ever get disappointed with any Indian restaurants.. But this was way lower than a 1 star but unfortunately Yelp is not letting me. Go elsewhere if you're craving indian cuisine. The flavors aren't there at all.. I couldn't taste any of the spices and the saddest part was the tamarind sauce and the mint sauce... I am so glad I drove past this place a few weeks ago to know it opened. And am even happier I got to try it tonight. Incredible menu with diverse selections of appetizers, breads, protein and vegetarian options. Everything our table had was fabulous. Service was kind and punctual and attentive. We had the potato and pea patties for an appetizer which were crispy and light and delicious. The sauces with the pompadoms make a great dipper! The rice is light and flavorful with great colors and aromatics. I had the lamb rogan josh which was delectable. My dinner mates had the shrimp curry which looked fabulous and one of the goat dishes - which the presentation was spectacular!!! Options to order everything mild, medium, or hot. I can't do spice but easily could go up to the medium. And our friend with the shrimp curry who got the medium felt she could easily go to the hot and she loves spice. Great prices. I recently found this hidden gem. I thought I had tried all the Indian restaurants in this itty, bitty state. Wrong! Even though it is humbly nestled in a small shopping plaza this restaurant packs a massive punch when it comes to flavor. I find that they make my favorites in a way that is slightly different than most others Indian restaurants, using spices and flavors that really, really work and make you say, "OMG, YUM!!!". I wish I could speak more intelligently about the spices, but I'm simply in awe. I've had the vegetarian dishes Paneer Shahi and the Malai Kofta. Each bite is pleasure trip. This place is awesome - I live a few minutes away and we get takeout all the time. I usually double up on lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka masala, so I can save one for the next day. I have only been here twice (W. Warwick) but both times I really enjoyed the food -- we got the samosas, naan, eggplant, and okra. The daughter of the owner was our waitress and she was the best. The flavor of the mango lassi was good but I didn't like the texture of it. I asked her about it and she informed me that they made their own yogurt for the lassi, offering to strain it for me which is something she said she did for herself as well. I noticed they had some Nepali food on the menu and she said that her family is Nepali -- looking forward to going back and try the momo dumplings. I'm not aware of any other places with Nepali food in the area for if nothing else go to Masala to try that; she said they could make whatever Nepali curry you like. read more

The owner/host was very nice. I think the problem we had was with the lamb korma. The lamb was not tender enough and normally with the Indian food I have had, it will easily break apart with a spoon. This was quite tough and needed more time to cook. I also didn't get much of a korma taste. read more

Came here with my wife after reading all the great reviews. To be honest, this is nothing special. Far from even the average Indian/Pakistani food that I have eaten. Ordered the chicken tikka masaala and the chef biriyani and was unimpressed. That samosa chaat was more like papadi chaat and was the only decent thing that we ate. Lamb was quite fatty and I thoroughly hate that. The tikka masaala was not as flavorful as I had hoped. The server was nice but there were few people there. I think only one other table actually had customers. I would recommend Bollywood Grill in the Providence area or Adrak in South county commons way over this easily. read more

We're from out of town. Came here 4 years ago and the food excellent. Found out that the restaurant is under new management. The food is still excellent. Stumbled across this little hole in the wall this past weekend so glad I did! It was my dates first time trying Indian food and he loved it. I enjoyed it very much as well. We ordered the lamb curry, chicken tika masala (which comes with basmati rice), and garlic naan. Food is served family style which I think adds to the experience. My favorite was the lamb - juicy, tender, flavorful without an overpowering curry taste. And the mild has the perfect amount of spice. Garlic naan was delish too!
