Absolutely worst experience I have ever had with a company. This is the most unprofessional, rude, and fraudulent company. I strongly suggest that no one use this company for the following reasons: 1. I was quoted over the phone after having given a list of all my furniture and the amount of boxes there would be. I was emailed two quotes for two different amounts without an explanation as to why one quote was incorrect. However, after the mover showed up and packed all of my belongings and loaded everything into their truck, they handed me the paperwork for the amount owed. The amount owed was double the quote. They would not let us take back out furniture and instead, we had to go to the bank and figure out how to pay double the amount. 2. I was told that our stuff would be delivered within 7 days. I did not receive anything for 21 days. During this period, I called the company numerous times only to get a someone's voicemail and never a call back. 3. When the movers finally arrived, they were in a truck that was "broken" and therefore could not turn the truck into the appropriate place to unload all of my belongings. After two hours of trying to get them to park somewhere, the two men got into a fight in the middle of the street in front of our neighbors and businesses. I had to threaten to call the police. They parked their 18ft truck in the middle of the road and started to "throw" our stuff into the middle of the street. I had called the manager during this incident numerous times only to get the run around and to be yelled at. He was extremely rude. There were only two men there to unload our stuff and one of them, did absolutely nothing. He sat in the truck the whole time. I had to unload everything myself. 4. Not only did I have to unload my own furniture, but because they parked in the middle of the road, the city came by and instructed us that if the truck was not moved, we would be cited. Another hour later, the truck was finally moved two blocks away and the movers said they would not unload anything since it was 75 feet away from the house. I had to unload everything from the moving truck into my car and drive it to my house, unload it from my car and then drive back to get another load. I also had to unwrap all the furniture myself and put it back together. 5. I was yelled and cursed at over the phone by the manager and was hung up on. I had to pay over $5,000 and in the end, I had to unpack and unload all of my stuff that they were paid to do. I was threatened on numerous occasions that they would take my stuff bc it was legally theirs since it was on their truck. They would not let me touch any of my belongings even after having been paid in full with cash. 6. After everything was moved in and they finally left, I started to unpack everything and noticed that the majority of my stuff was damaged or ruined. My dishes were broken, lamps and framed pictures were damaged and shattered. Even my clothes and shoes were damaged in the boxes from sitting in the heat for so long. The soles of some of my shoes had even melted. My furniture was damaged: broken drawers, damaged corners on all dressers and tables, etc. This company lied about being BBB accredited and their contracts are completely falsified. You do not get a chance to get out of the contract bc they take your stuff before letting you know the real amount. I will do whatever it takes to make sure this company gets a bad reputation and slapped with a lawsuit. read more

Thank you all! I don't usually take time to write anything about anyone, but this time there are no words to express my gratitude to this group of professional movers. What started as a tragedy ended a fairytale. Thanks to the excellent team of movers and packers. I am sorry to say I did not get their names mostly because they came and gone lightening. At some point, I was so concerned they are overworking themselves that I asked them to take a moment water break. The maneuvers they used to take out my very bulky furniture were extremally impressive. All that running around and heavy lifting and not a single item scratched or even dirty. I did use them to pack up my kitchen but honestly I retrospectively I should have asked them to pack up the entire house. I mean don't get e wrong, it's not a cheap service ,and I am paying out of pocket and all. Still, the time and effort I spent doing it myself is just not worth it. The process of packing got so overwhelming that I literality had to take three days off from work to collapse, I was exhausted, my friend and family disappeared as soon as I asked hem to help with the move, my bad back is not as strong as it used to be and honestly I am just to busy to fit a week of heavy lifting and sorting in to my schedule. Mainly if I can use professional movers like Mashav Guys. I do want to take a moment to provide some moving tips in hope you all can benefit from my experience: 1. Create a "moving" checklist for receipts and all items related to your move because you are not going to be able to remember all of the details. 2. Schedule in-home estimates with a reputable local Moving Company. I strongly recommend using Mashav Relocation for any job, big or small. They are that GOOD. It is important to make sure you hire someone you feel right about. It makes a big difference to be able to talk to a normal human being at a stressful time. 3. Create a realistic budget. It is very EXPENSIVE to hire professional movers, but for me, I am old enough, time conscience and practical enough to be able to afford not breaking my back spend more on movers less on medical bills or buying friends drinks to be forever thankful. If you can't afford it, don't! Its all about priorities. 4. take time off work for moving day. The day before and the day after if you're lucky. This will be your time to get organized and done efficiently. 6. get a babysitter for your kids, send them off to family members for the day or weekend and get it done. In a time where professionalism and recognition to your customer, have become extinct, We had the absolute honor of hiring such a company, I highly recommend this company, I usually never leave reviews, but this time I found it essential to share about a team that is so pleasant. I have already recommended this company to my next-door-neighbor as it is delightful to deal with such a company. Mike, the owner, was terrific. Good work ethic, fair price, excellent service, and value. They removed many pieces of worn out broken indoor and outdoor furniture, a 10x14 trampoline which required over 45 minutes to disassemble because most of the parts rusted. Plus many other items from throughout the home. We scheduled our move for Dec26th with delivery to our new home on Dec 28th. The crew was punctual and began loading and packing what We hadn't packed. They completed the job by 4:00 in the afternoon, much earlier than I thought they would, and we drove to our new place that day. On the 28th, they were very prompt and began unloading all of the boxes I had previously marked for the rooms. They were courteous, careful and accommodating in all respects. I should also mention that I got three quotes to move us from other similar companies and their price was the best. I also liked working with a family-owned company that has been in business for many years. In a nutshell, chose Mashav Relocation, you can't go wrong. Great experience and great service from Mashav Movers. Probably won't find any better than this. For a last minute mid move it is not for granted that they showed up quickly to move us. I first heard of Mashav Relocation when my friend and next-door-neighbor used them when she and her children moved to OH last year. I was so impressed with how knowledgeable the movers were with wrapping and moving their items, and so I knew that I will be calling when it was my time to move. And so about a year later we needed to move, I called my friend and asked for the details and phone number of the company that moved them. At first, I assumed that they do only out of state moves because they moved my friend to OH, so I wasn't sure if they can help with our move because we were moving locally. When I called Mashav, I was happy to hear that they also do local moves. I then scheduled with them an appointment for an in-home estimate. Mike showed up at my house for the in-home estimate appointment, and he was great with explaining everything to us. He also took notes of everything that we needed to move and what we needed the movers to help us with. We got the estimate and even thou it was a bit over our budget we were happy with it. The quote covered all our moving needs and more, so that worked for us! We moved two weeks ago, and I can say that choosing Mashav as our mover was the best decision we made. We had a smooth move, and the guys were great, polite and professional! They made sure to wrap everything and handle our belongings with care. I give these guys 5 stars because they are polite, they work hard, and in the end they are true to what they promise. I needed to move my mom from Rockville MD to Washington DC. Dee was the representative who quoted a fair price and made sure everything went smoothly. The movers Roger, Carlos and Adrian all were polite and hard working. They wrapped all the furniture well and the move went great! The time quoted was a little under what it turned out to be, but my mom had a lot of stuff! Mike the dispatcher was very fair in his price and even offered a few discounts at the end I would use them again and recommend them to others. Altogether, this was the absolute best money that we have ever spent on a moving service. They showed up on time and moved the entire house in half a day. All of the movers were super-efficient, very careful, and skilled in moving our belongings. Not once did any of the guys complain about anything we asked them to do and we could tell that they really loved their job and were passionate about providing excellent service. Another great thing about them, the job was $400 cheaper than the quotes we received from the bigger companies. This move could not have gone any smoother; it was a completely stress-free and enjoyable experience. The easiest move ever! professionalism from the first inquiry phone call to the last box was unloaded. The pack up team arrived on time and ready to work, great care was taken to wrap all of our furniture and inventory our boxes. We needed to store our items in Mashav Relocation's warehouse in Beltsville for a few months, so our move was effectively two moves. The delivery team also arrived on schedule and quickly unloaded our belongings they were placing furniture where we wanted it and assembling beds all the time being mindful of our walls and doorways. They were professional, efficient, and friendly. All of our items arrived in perfect condition not a scratch on furniture and not a single broken household item. I was dreading this move and the thought of broken or damaged items - my fears were all unjustified, Mashav Relocation Movers handled all of our items with care. If I move again, Mashav Relocation would be my first call, they did exceeded my expectations (especially in a field with very mixed standards) and at what I would consider to be a fair price. Prior to my move I was getting really nervous. The last time I moved was five years ago, and I was not looking forward to the moving part... I looked online for a decent moving company but it is not an easy task. Luckily, my coworker heard my concerns and shared his great experience he had with mashav relocation. From my first call to their office I felt like I am in good hands. They asked me all the questions they needed in order for them to provide me with a quote. My moving experience did not start good, but not because of Mashav but because of a different moving company that did not show up and just left us hanging on the day of our move. After we got stood up by the other company we called different moving companies in hopes that we can find a last-minute mover at a reasonable price. And boy am I happy we found Mashav Relocation! Rachel, who answered my call took all the information from me and was able to put together a quote for me that was pretty reasonable. My husband and I were going to try to do the move ourselves, but after getting a recommendation from a friend who moved with Mashav before, we decided to hire them. We are so happy we did that! My move over the weekend was very complicated. I had to split my goods into three different stops. I was worry that the movers would get confused and lose or displace items into the wrong stop. I have to say, that I am happily relieved today. The 4 men crew from Mashav Relocation, and the head guy, Ernest, know what they are doing. I showed them once what need to be done - and that was it. They worked really hard, and one could tell they like to work for this company. They worked as a team and stopped only once for five minutes (Crazy.) The movers arrived on time and ready to move. There was 3 men that arrived promptly, courteous, and professional. They made my moving experience a breeze. I was allotted 3 hours to move my 2 bedroom apartment to a townhouse. It only took 4 hours due to me not packing as thourghly as I could have but they wrapped everything up and moved it anyway. They did not take a break during the entire 4 hours, I didn't have to complain about how they moved my belongings as they took every precaution to wrap and double wrap my bedding, sofas, tvs, etc. I have never had an moving experience like this and I highly recommend them to anyone. i dont know what jennifer is talking about but i used mashav relocation two times for both my local moves and my mom used them also for her long disatnce move and with our quote it was close to the same maybe ten dollars off but thats not that big of a deal there where friendly guys i have tried other comapny before and they also have the same contact for 60 cents/pound i guess that all moving companies have the same insurance the other companies have given a less quote and i said hey well i will go with the other company since there less and guess what you get what you pay for but not with mashav they have quality movers and i will keep using and refering them to my friends and family read more

My husband and I did a local move in Rockville and we shopped around and Mashav gave us a good quote and the staff was very polite, so we used them. The movers came to our house and were very professional, especially Frank. The packing and loading didn't take long at all, since we were only moving a one bedroom apartment. Once the movers got to the house we had just purchased, they unloaded as quickly as they loaded. My husband is retiring from the military this year and so we have moved many times. I have used Mashav Relocation twice and also recommended them for my sister's move. Everything went smoothly. In all three instances; their movers were prompt, efficient and hard workers. I was promised three men for each job, and actually had four, without incurring any additional charges. Nothing was damaged, not even a nick or a scrape, and all boxes were put into the appropriate rooms. They even offered to set up my bed, something I would have had to do on my own. I have moved many times in my life and just had the best moving experience ever. Mike took care of the move plan via email, and Roger, Carlos, and the crew took care of me today. Every single piece of furniture was completely wrapped in padding and tape. My beautiful Yamaha upright piano was handled with care. Everything was moved to the new space, and put where I requested. It was a large move, from a 2 story house to a 3 story house and the whole time they were cheerful and helpful.
