We checked this place out on a Friday evening, and were very pleased. They have a great selection of beer, and the flights are an awesome deal. It's also a great way to sample the housemade brews. My favorites were Java Joe and Sunday Funday. The Last Light IPA was a close second. We got a veggie flatbread as a snack, and it was a great decision. The atmosphere is great, it wasn't too crowded and the staff was super friendly. There are also board games if that's something you're interested in. It's taken us a while to come check this place out because it's not on our usual paths through town. However, we finally made it in here to see one of our friends perform a holiday show. What a nice establishment with really polite staff. It's not very big and is designs kind of shotgun style so there weren't a lot of places to sit that evening. We ended up standing near the door but were happy that the cold air didn't keep rushing in every time someone came in or out. I really enjoyed all of the Indiana and Indianapolis themed artwork that was on all the walls. Those were really beautiful to look at. I'm always impressed when people take pride in their city or their state. It makes me want to support their business more when I discovered they love their city as much as I do. And lastly, their beer selection was tremendous. Some places you go in and there are maybe four or five or six different beers on tap that you can enjoy. This place must have had at least 10 different beers on tap, and there were lots of interesting flavor mixtures. Since it was a school night, I couldn't sit down and try them all. But next time we visit, I plan on getting a flight and talking my husband into getting a different flight so we can try all the flavors. read more

The blood orange IPA is arguably the most delicious beer north of the Mississippi. I totally love the vibes this place gives off. It doesn't just cater to one demographic, but is open to everyone. I just discovered this brewery. They have their original brewery in Greenwood and this location is in a new building at 22nd and Delaware. I went there as I had been wanting to try their double IPA. I was not disappointed as I bought a bullet and a bullet of another of their offerings. Friendly staff and I talked IPAs with Mitch who is a bonafide hophead. If you like fresh beer and you like new places, I give Mashcraft two thumbs up. read more

This is a great new place close to downtown! They have a great selection of beers on tap and frequently come out with new and unique flavors to keep you coming back for more! One of the rare taps rooms that is kid friendly, this Herron Morton neighborhood gem is worth a visit especially if you like to try many different beers. Super modern big screens show every beer and every fact you could possibly need to know, including how much is left in the tank. The St James is an exquisite barleywine that only gets more nuanced as it warms up. The Coconut Stout was also quite good despite being a little too coconutty. The Raspberry milk stout and blood orange IPA are perennial favorites also. They do a have a flatbread menu which I have not tried, nothing terribly interesting. Open space with granite bar, natural wood floor and leather sofas make it not quite as cozy as it could be but plenty of board games tucked here and there encourage lingering. I've been to this brewery twice. The first time, I had excellent service and a really inexpensive flight of their beers. I'm a fan of IPA beers, and they didn't disappoint. They had a few varieties and all of them were enjoyable. The space is pretty small but has big windows and is pretty inviting. For my second visit, I returned to my favorite of the beers I had the previous time. The service was a little slower and less attentive, but overall, I would definitely recommend paying Mashcraft a visit. read more

I come here mainly on Sundays to fill growlers when the occasion arises as I live very close. The staff is always very welcoming and personable. The atmosphere seems very laid back. So I live really close to this brewery so proximity definitely has something to do with how often I come here. Also they have trivia on Tuesday nights and I'm a sucker for good trivia! We have a team that goes every week. I personally am not a huge beer person but I love ciders. They always have one cider on tap and that's usually what I get. They rotate their menu so there's always something new to try. They have a small food menu but everything that I've ever gotten has been fantastic! I highly recommend the buffalo chicken flatbread the staff is so friendly and always helping you find something you will like. They always let me sample a bunch of beers before I decide on my cider haha! When it's nice outside the open the front door (it's like a big garage door) so you can enjoy the nice weather. They have a bunch of games available to play while your there. Overall, if you're in the fall creek area and looking for a chill place to hang out and enjoy a cold beer this is the place for you! read more

Keep an eye out for Andrew's delicious pepper beers, coffee infused brews and you can't go wrong with MashCraft IPA. There are 16 taps including a few guest ones as well. The space is cool, relaxing and is also kid friendly. Menu has flatbreads and sandwiches that use fresh, local ingredients that pair well with beer. I finally got to Mashcraft yesterday for a girls' night out. First, the layout is just so clean, so inviting. Wooden tables and leather(pleather? - I can't tell the difference) bound chairs and 2 seater benches... with a screen showing the beers and really cool Indy photo posters on the walls. And... I have to reiterate... it's so clean...the restroom included. The beer is wonderful. I'm a "Blonde" since living in Cologne, Germany and experiencing the freshness of a Koelsch.... and the Mashcraft blonde delivers! Fresh and crisp! Others in my group went with the darker beers and really enjoyed them. Food wise... a couple of flatbreads and pretzels were part of the evening... and they were really tasty. And I haven't even mentioned the service yet! Just fantastic! Not only knowledgeable about the beer and the food, but he could also tell us about the artwork. If you're in the area and are looking for a cool place to chill and grab a drink and a snack, Mashcraft needs to be on your list. read more

Standard IPA tastes good, but pour is not a standard pint. It is only 13oz. Waitress said because of high alcohol content of 6.5%. Really? Normal IPA is 7% or above. Anything under 8% should be a full pint pour. read more

I really want to like this place! Great beer, nice bar, but I have some concerns. Pay attention! Play some music, create an atmosphere, when the tv signal goes out, try and fix it. I want this to be a conformable neighborhood bar. Get to know the customers, improve your service, put away the windex that's sitting on the bar. Simple details will go a long way! Has everything to be a great bar, just pay attention to the important details! It does have great Beer and I know the employees have got to be cool people, but I'm waiting to find out.
