Went last Saturday for a girlfriend's bday brunch and no amount of $2 dollar mimosas can remedy our experience. I had the "Mash'd Tator eggsplosion" which is supposed to include taters, bacon and eggs. The "Mash'd" (no pun intended) tators was a flavorless gelatinous mix coupled with powered eggs and a scintilla of bacon. Another girlfriend ordered the French toast that which is something of a misnomer as she was served 4 scant pieces of bread (think a thinly sliced baguette) toppled with nearly a pound of this cream cheese butter spread. The birthday girl had ordered the "Benny's skillet" and while they used real eggs for this dish, it was quite dry and flavorless. Needless to say, our meals went unfinished. One of my new favorite places at the rim! It's so close to many other bars and restaurants. I went on a Bumble double date here once. I would recommend this place if you're trying to meet up with a Bumble date. They had great happy hour specials and parking is easy around this area. My date and I had the house cab on happy hour and their wings which I give a 10/10!!! read more

My husband and I LOVE this place. We have been three or four times already. The moonshine is great! Especially the jolly rancher and tea. Food is really good, we went one time when it was slightly disappointing (food seemed like it was cooked hours before or maybe over cooked) but the other good times made up for it lol read more

I'd been wanting to try it so today we showed up for brunch about 10 minutes after opening. Cozy and cute but the music was pretty loud considering brunch should be a little more laid back. Service was good and the place was really crowded by the time we left. I had the special scrambled eggs over a huge amount of mashed potatoes, which was pretty good and had bacon and melted cheddar on top, served in a hot skillet. I also ordered a chorizo cheddar biscuit which was really good. My meal would have been a 4 star. Unfortunately my husband's meal was a 1 star. He took the waiter's recommendation and ordered the hangar steak omelette, which was really awful. It was wet and cold in the middle with tomatoes and corn, and something fermented and wet in the middle of an omelette really unappealing. Worse yet, there were potatoes on his plate that were cold and dried out, 10 minutes after the place opened. It was obvious they were reheated or previously frozen. Potatoes are cheap, they really should not be reheated. Glad we tried it. 50/50 chance we will return. It is definitely not worth waiting in the line that was there when we left. read more

I have been to Mash'd multiple times since my first review. Unfortunately, things are not heading in the right direction. Service is still excellent, however, the food has not retained its excellence. The app was still good, although, it seemed much smaller (for the same $) than I remember. The entree (I ordered a half order of chicken and biscuits) came out luke warm at best, biscuits were at least 2 days old judging by how stale and hard they were. Still a very cool place to have a cocktail and chat with friends but I'm thinking I'll skip the food next time. read more

Avoid the queso. It is thick and SUPER greasy. The pho-kin soup tasted like ramen with corn in it, and the shrimp still had sand in it. My husband said his burger was okay. I'm glad I tried it because I no longer have to be interested. Now I know it isn't good. read more

One of our favorite places! We love the chicken and biscuits with Chuck Norris Gravy. Busy Friday night, and the biscuits were being hand made,had a little wait. I've been here a few times now and each time it's been really good. My favorite is the breakfast I think but the wings are really good too. I'd recommend trying a moonshine flight while you're eating. They have a ton of really good flavors. It can get a bit loud in there but you can still hold a conversation. What I really appreciate when I go is the lack of wait time to sit down. What I think is kind of weird and also misleading is all of the employees that stand at the front when you walk in. They don't have uniforms so they look like customers. So it makes it look like they are really busy and a bunch of people are waiting for tables. But that's not the case. It's all employees just in the doorway. I've almost not gone in a few times cause I figured the wait would be too long. I'm glad I realized it's just all the employees hanging out in the door way. If I was the manager I'd probably work on that. It's cool to be greeted when you walk into a place. It's not awesome when eight people greet you at the same time as you walk in. read more

First coming into the establishment the staff was extremely friendly! I was seated within first walking in and our server/bartender Emily greeted us with her extremely upbeat energy! The berry good lemonade was Delish, I ordered the Shepards pie for an entree and it came out great!! The drinks were tasty and app's started off good but the server had an attitude the whole time which made our experience not pleasant at all. This is the second time the wait staff has been rude or unavailable. For a new restaurant and the prices on the menu you would think customer service would be important. If you don't think the food is good @ Mash'd you're crazy... The pot de crem is also the best desert, it's probably very unhealthy how much I get it but oh well... if you go, ask for Ashlee, Jasmine or Stevie, awesome servers they got there! :) read more

I had brunch with a girlfriend here, and it did not disappoint! I had the Southern Egg Fries which was basically everything. The fries were thin and crispy and egg and sauce was spot on. I also had a mimosa on special for $3, which was great. Overall, it was definitely a great experience and I will 100% be back. read more

Opened at 10:30 went at 11:00 was a 45 min wait. Heads up you can check in online I had no idea you could do that till they said we have a lot of people in front of you. Didn't offer menus while we waited so grab one while you wait. Service was good. It was super busy. Food was a actually what made it worth it. Chicken and biscuits to die for. Pancakes delish! I had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The meatloaf was okay. The mashed potatoes were good, but for $13.95, they would do well to give you more than an ice cream scoop-sized serving. Note to management--go to J Alexanders at the Quarry and order a burger and ask for mashed potatoes instead of fries and note the HUGE portion of excellent mashed potatoes you get with your meal--and at a classy place with atmosphere, for the same price! Was a fan of this place until tonight. My family was visiting from out of town and thought this was the perfect place for dinner. Waiter was awesome, food was great. We all wanted to try the Moonshine which is their signature drink. The bill came and the drinks were each $2 over the listed price. The reason as it was explained to us was because we had them "on the rocks". One, the waiter asked us if that is how we wanted them and two, he ( nor the menu) ever indicated there was up charge. Really $2 for ice....the manager and waiter both came to the table to explain the upcharge. Just felt like a crappy way to get an extra $8 on the bill. We will never go back there......They did credit our bill the $8 and told us they would let "corporate know so they could fix it"....sorry, too late. read more

I visited at lunchtime with a small group of friends and family on Dec. 30th. The meatloaf was amazing, with a really nice sauce and delicious potatoes (I ordered the 1/2 portion plate, and wished there were more potatoes). The pulled pork sandwich with its tender meat and tasty bun was great for folks who like spicy. The best thing was the chicken parmesan. It was crispy on the outside and juicy inside: perfect! The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients, and she was very attentive. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll be back. For one reason, the restrooms smelled awful. I don't know if it's a plumbing problem or a harsh cleaner they are using, but it made a clean-looking restroom seem dirty. The other reason I probably won't return was that the music was just too loud to hold a conversation. I can see that in the evening, maybe, but for lunchtime it was just too much. If I ever hear they've fixed the restroom problem and turned down the music, I'll be back for that wonderful chicken parmesan. read more

The drinks are good. But the food, with exceptions maybe, is overpriced and just so-so. I tried the burger and it was ok, a bit dry and expensive. I tried the salad, they try to make it fancy but in the end it was a pensive lettuce. And the shrimp and crab appetizer - small, ok, and - yes you guessed it - expensive. Now I understand that good food should cost a good penny, but this ain't it. Either lower the prices or higher the quality. read more

We were pretty excited to try brunch here, especially after hearing great things. Huge disappointment. Massive disappointment. Not only was the food visually unappetizing, it was just a soggy, bland mess. The waitress wasn't attentive, and the check was incorrect. We got so tired of waiting for her to come back to the table, we decided to take a loss on the bill and just leave. Dinner might be worth the price, but brunch was definitely not worth the time or money. read more

And so are the wings, the waitress brought out our wings and messed up the flavors and brought out even more wings that were the right flavor for us. The reason we gave this place 2-stars instead of one is the server was nice (enough), and my gluten free food was indeed, gluten free. They had a separate menu for me, which was nice and they were careful-ish with my plate. However, the food in general (mine and the others at my table), was average at best. There was lack of seasoning and 2/4 of the people in our party left the restaurant with a stomach ache. The server was nice, but was in such a hurry, she didn't even come all the way to our table to ask how we were, she would ask from two tables away. My husband found a French fry at the bottom of his salad which means they are not careful with their plating. It was an average meal, with average service. And they never brought the ordered drinks to the table we ordered, which was annoying. There are probably better places to eat around the area. read more

Rebellious Burger w/Cesar Salad...Excellent! Illegal Endeavor (frozen moonshine cocktail) was cold, but warm in bk of throat from the cayenne pepper...not sweet. Pineapple Bomb was sweet and smooth. Sheppard's Pie good...a bit plain Jane. Draft XX beer great (how can you screw that up?) Happy Hour prices on drinks 3-6pm, then reverse Happy Hour 9pm-close. Service great and super fast. I won't email you the specifics but I will let you know that your server brought sweetener for an alcoholic beverage in order to make the drink palatable and even then it was undrinkable. The other drink had cilantro and tastes like salsa also undrinkable. So I'm happy you have 4 stars but I will not be waisting my time or money at your establishment. read more

This place was amazing. Super modern, the atmosphere was cool and their staff was awesome. Our server was the bomb dot com, she was "on it" the entire time and management was just as great. I had the K&Q salad along with a sangria drink and both were outstanding. Definitely will return when in town. read more
