Wifey and I have visited this place twice with our daughter and son-in-law. Both times we were sorely disappointed. We cannot figure out why there is a line or why the reviews are so high. The margaritas taste like super sweet prefabricated junk. There is nothing authentic about these drinks, and they do not resemble margaritas in any way. The first time we had them they were frozen, which was horrible. The second time we had them on the rocks, hoping for a better experience, to no avail. The staff are overworked and the place is not very tidy. Regardless people will continue coming to this place simply because it is popular and convenient.. We will not return. read more

I love this little place! It's at the end of La Cantera where Whiskey Cake and Cheesecake Factory are at. It's just a little hut bar where you can grab a drink and go shop. There are tables and chairs under trees to sit. They do make non alcoholic drinks like the watermelon lemonade in my photo. The staff is friendly and speedy and they do offer samples of a drink if you can decide on what to order. The drinks are reasonably priced. read more

Thing is...you get what you pay for. The drinks here are not all that strong. I never really taste the liquor. Not real sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I do like to know that there's liquor in my drink. Ya know? Anyway, the vibe here is pretty chill. Good amount of outdoor seating and the music is always on point. One thing I hate though, is that I always end up wiping down whatever table I'm wanting to sit at. This walk up bar is a great stop for a refreshing margarita or mocktail while shopping. We ordered two of the original flights- which includes a cucumber, strawberry and mangonada marg. All of the drinks were refreshing and good pricing. The only negative is that when the bartender included straws in our drinks, he unraffled them and put his fingers on the top of the straw where we would drink from which is pretty unsanitary (he had not washed his hands). We did toss those straws and grabbed unopened ones. There is ample shaded seating and a good selection of music playing from the speaker. read more

GPS had me parking all crazy, but I ended up finding this place after walking for about 20 minutes throughout the promenade. The cantina itself is super cute and very convenient as it has plenty of seating options around it. I ordered the OG margarita flight on the rocks and they literally just tasted like Agua Fresca's. The strawberry one was straight putrid and the other two were refreshing but again it 100% tasted like an aqua Fresca and didn't have any resemblance of a margarita whatsoever. Hey everyone Tint Cantina is a very cute little bar located in the La Cantera shopping area. It is an outdoor venue that offers margaritas and other refreshing drinks. They are priced about the same for drinks as other bars in the area. They have local bands and music play in the evenings a few times a month. The cucumber margarita is refreshing. I do have to say the margaritas won't necessarily blow your socks off but it's worth your money to go and try. Margaritas are fantastic! Our complaint appears to be a management issue...the last few times we've been here, they have been out of wine. And this is over the course of 4 months, so doesn't seem to be an anomaly. And as the staff has time, it would be nice if they'd wipe off the tables and their bar area. It's a nice place to relax, take a break while shopping, or enjoy the weather on the patio. I enjoy the seasonal drink options and the staffs knowledge and suggestions on their items. The only downside is that guests are expected to clean up after themselves and return the flight trays, but many don't. As a result, trash gets left behind, and tables aren't cleared for others. I've had the chance to stop by Tony Cantina several times either invited out or just due to shopping or day drinking at La Cantera Mall. I absolutely love it! Their Piña Colada has to be one of the best I've had in all of San Antonio and their new Margarita Flights are perfect if you want to sample different things. There is plenty of seating right outside the Sip & Shop bar and they even have a deck with much needed space & room for social distancing. We ALL THREE got stomach pains from the extreme sweetness of the drinks. I love sweet and these were too sweet for me. We couldn't finish the flights because of it. If you want some cute pics this is it. If you want a quality margarita nomas no. What I can say is the one redeeming quality was the cucumber margarita. That was bomb! I was doing some shopping with my friend when we came across the Tiny Cantina. Looked very cute and quant so we decided to give it a try. They had a margarita flight that we tried. The presentation was beautiful, the drinks were very tasty. Tiny Cantina is located by the Cheesecake Factory. The bar tender was efficient and friendly. Drink prices were reasonable. Everyone was spaced out and they kept the areas very clean. The atmosphere is very beautiful, nice enough to enjoy a few drinks with the people you are with. Good concept. You do have to walk to the restaurant side of la cantera to grab your drink. Your best bet is to get a beer, but they do have pre mixed frozen cocktails. I think the most popular is the margarita flight. The cocktails aren't strong. Prices are what you would expect at a restaurant. My sister had the kamakazi and the cucumber margarita; she said it was too tart for her taste so my husband and I drink it lol My mom had the mango margarita and she liked it; wasn't a fan of the Mexican candy shot but she drank it lol My hubby enjoyed his beer; just be warned you do get the beer in a medium cup so you're basically paying the full price for a beer and getting about half or 3/4 of one. If you are still reading, you obviously don't have the guts to sneak booze into the jazz concerts here, so here are the deets on Tiny Cantina. They have a handful of canned and bottled beers. Domestics are $3.50, imports and crafts are $4.50. Nothing on draft. Frozen margaritas, pina coladas, mangonadas and a few others are available, but they are all wine based - not tequila or rum based like they lead you to believe. (yes, I ask the questions so you don't have to folks). Small frozen drinks are $8, large ones are $10. Wine is $7 per glass, water or soda is $3. Yes, they take credit cards and debit cards.
