Worst place ever. I have been a member since 2008 in palm beach gardens. I moved to Brickell for less than a year and this is the 2nd time in 3 months that I booked an apt that has been double booked and were unable to deliver. Obviously ruined my day, can't get their act together, their best masseuse left them because they are mistreated there, after 6 years massage envy has lost my business forever, I mean how hard is it to book an apt and keep your customers and staff happy? I have to disagree with Yalishia G. I studied some courses for massage therapy and this technique is a form of Thai Massage. It's called the Rocking Massage. I usually go with David to get my regular monthly massage but have been with other therapists in the 10 years that I have been a member. Every masseur has a different style so regardless if they have a "guideline", they each have a style. This time David or my regulars were not available so I was scheduled with Tony. I was a little concerned because of the previous review from Yalishia G. but I found her to be completely incorrect. It was in fact the rocking massage technique that had her feel like he was shaking her. If someone has never had that type of massage, it might make you feel as she did. However, experiencing it for myself, he made my back feel so amazing after the session and the rocking actually made my back stretch out a little more to ease the pain in my lower back. He also did the same to my legs and arms! How can you claim that as an assault?! Maybe it just was not for you but if that is assault, they can do it to me all the time! read more

I was told that this lady does hot stone massage for 10 years, well I don't understand how come she still has a job. It was more like somebody was attacking me with way too hot stones. THese guys are a bunch of CROOKS and DON'T use them . MY wife got a gift certificate for a massage but when she called in to schedule an appointment they insisted on getting her cc info. Since then they charged us $74.95 on two different occasions. Calls to manager go unreturned and he won;t pick up now. They refunded the first time and then charged us again for the same amount. These people are crooks! They will have you sign a contract you can't get out of in exchange for cheaper massage rates. They will lie to your face when you ask them about the fine print, the cancellation policies, etc. Then, when you call to cancel your contract they will tell you you're not allowed to do that, they will tell you you're obligated to keep making payments on the contract whether you receive their services or not (because this is all on the fine print they lied to you about) and if you don't make these payments they will turn you over to collections... Their employees are beyond incompetent. Every time I try and book there is at least some kind of problem. Most employees do not even know what they are talking about. I am told something different every time I speak to someone new. One time I even had an employee forget to ask for my credit card number when booking an appointment (something I had not been asked for before) and when I called back to cancel it they still tried to hold me accountable for it by harassing me on the phone for my credit card number. Why would I ever give you my credit card number when you're trying to charge me for a service I did not receive? They make it SO difficult to make an appointment with some new rule every time I call and I am even a member. Massage Envy is there for relaxation purposes but I always end up more stressed and angry every time I deal with them. I would get rid of my membership there but they would take all my ALREADY PAID FOR credits with them if I stop. I am in the process of using all my credits now so I can stop my membership and NEVER return again. Corporate needs to take over this location and find new management because this is a poorly run business as a whole. read more

Very unhappy w the costomer service at Massage Envy! I called requesting to change the time of my appt for same day and despite having availability, was told this would b considered a cancellation n would b charged an additional 50% for the massage. Unfortunately, the contract says they may do this. I did not read this upon signing as I would never have thought a customer would b treated this way. I just finished reading everyone's reviews, including the filtered ones. I have to comment that you cannot blame them for trying to sell memberships . This is the only way they make money since their massages are so cheap in comparison to any other spa, including day spas. I'm not a membership kinda girl. This just made sense. The spa is clean and quiet and feels like a REAL spa , not a chain in a mall. I am afraid to write my therapist's name because Yelp keeps filtering out reviews commending staff members. All I can say is that I'm picky and never thought I'd enjoy my Romanian therapist so much to actually sign up for a membership. The spa also has wonderful jewelry and gifts for reasonable prices you can pick up on the way out. I'm sorry if they're pushy about memberships but I'm glad they are or I wouldn't be getting 2 hour massages for $78 dollars on a regular basis. I'd be getting $110 50 minute ones four times per year. Membership makes it really easy to just run in two minutes before your massage and be ready to go. I basically yell my name on the way to the massage rooms since I'm always running late from court or driving one of my 4 kids around. I never thought I'd be saying it's a great place since my usual spa experiences had been more the Viceroy/Fountainbleau kind but this is a wonderful little oasis with good masseuses. And yes, they have to charge more for tourists since they won't be returning regularly but the prices are still far less than a hotel spa and the service just as good or better. read more

The massages are great. The front desk people are nice. However, much like most things in Miami, this place is a scam. We filled out paperwork and called multiple times to cancel our membership, but without fail, every month they continued to charge us. After two awful experiences at the South Miami location, I tried out the conveniently located Brickell location where the staff were friendly and helpful. My husband and I were greeted by Ari who was sure to take care of us, start to finish. Marisol was also great and provided us with pricing options that worked for our lifestyle. While there, Romig & Marta massaged the stress out of our shoulders and even provided helpful tips on how to prevent tension build-up moving forward. The value was definitely there with our one-hour massage only costing $49. The sales pitch is definitely more relentless than I would have liked and not everyone has the time or patience. I like this place for only one reason. Camille! She is the best. I first started my membership in midtown, couldnt find the perfect therapist so I started trying new therapists in the Brickell spot. Let me tell you, i have proof in my records how much I tried before I found Camille. I suffer from a very tight spot that spot everyone has: upper right under shoulder. No therapist was really understanding of my pain. Camille really listens and she has a healing hand. If she leaves this massage envy ill follow her wherever she goes. I have tried for 2 years until I found her and she is the perfect fit. My friends and family agreed. Everyone had different needs but CAMILLE JUST UNDERSTANDS. I am so grateful to her, for easing my pain that makes my life a hell, I sleep like a baby for a week. This review is not even enough for how much better she makes you feel in an hour. I've been a member for a little less than a year but I've always had great experiences here from the sweet front desk service to relaxing massages. I've come in for deep tissue and Swedish massages and I've never been disappointed! Although they are all great ( the front desk seems to always be able to recommend a person for what I need), Claudia and Doris are incredible - they seriously know exactly what you need and I walk out of there feeling 1000% relaxed or my aches are relieved! This location is no frills and while it's not a typical spa, for the price, it's all about the massage! Highly recommend! read more

I walked into massage envy about a week ago on a Saturday September 5th around 4-6 pm for the first time at this location, when the first thing I find in the lobby is a girl receptionist having a blown out argument with three girls trying to get facials done. The customer walked out and returned a few minutes later to let her know that this establishment should be ran differently. The receptionist turned around and said " its raining outside drive safe" and completely ignored the issue at hand. I believe the girls name is Amy whom called the client a B**** under her breath and a spoiled brat. what customer service skills are these??? ( I say girls because she didn't seem mature enough to be dealing with customer service) I stood there to see if anyone noticed me but they were too busy going back an forth with each other. I young guy standing there also whom seemed lost. I was finally asked what I was there for and honestly my only question was.. who is the manager? As Amy pointed at the young guy who was there. Again they looked lost and didn't know what they were doing. How does a business run with immature staff who seem like they just walked out of high school and were granted the position of "MANAGER". How can massage envy run on such low standers? some one needs to run this business who is prepared not the first person that they hire. I've been a manager at my current job for the last 5 years and never would I put forth such an unprepared person to be the face of my company. Apparently this is a franchise to massage envy and maybe that is why the standards are so low to the floor. I walked out with out any information, I was applaud at what I had just witness and never ever again will I walk into this establishment. Brickell being such a high end location should be managed by skilled workers. Something must be done or Massage Envy will be DONE. I do not recommend this location to anyone! The therapy is great, but the customer service is awful! The spa is very unwelcoming because of the lack of attention at the front desk. I expect to come in and be treated with care. instead I come in to be greeted by careless employees. who just checks me in and tells me to go into the members lounge. And when I come out I'm attacked with all of these sales that I am not interested in. I go in for relaxation, but leave the spa stressed because of all the sales pitches. Later I went in to use gift cards that I've purchased to find that there were insufficient funds on my gift cards that I never used. Moments later the associate told me that I am a member which I never agreed to become a member at any location, nor have I ever signed any kind of contract to become a member. I travel a lot so that is why I took advantage of the gift cards since they have no expiration. Immediately I felt scammed and betrayed because I actually gave away a couple gift cards because I later found that the recipients had issues redeeming the gift cards as well. I spake to a manager Ary who said that she was not aware of those transactions and that she would resolve it. Days later, come to find out, it was never taken care of. I will never go back to this location and I won't be referring any family or friend's of mine. The manager seemed very odd and a bit untruthful to me. Be careful with this company! read more

I have never bothered to write a review of a place before but I feel the need to warn other people so they don't experience what I did. have so many issues with this place, I wish I could give less than 1 star. I went there because they advertise a special introductory rate. When I tried to make an appointment at the advertised rate I was told it was only for Miami residents. I have a foreign accident so they assumed I was a tourist and wanted to charge me more. They are very very adamant about getting you to buy membership from them even though I didnt't want to be a member. I had a massage and a facial. The facial was average. I have had literally thousands of massages and never had such a bad experience. The therapist was a nice person but completely unskilled and she hurt my back and left me in pain. I told the manager Marisol and she brushed me off with no concern or apology and told me the therapist probably wasn't a good fit for me and I should buy another massage with another therapist. She kept pushing and pushing me to sign a contract for membership and telling me lie after lie to get me to sign. I looked at the paperwork which is very vague and states one is bound by terms stated on their website. When I asked what those terms were I was met with looks of disdain from the staff. I insisted on looking at their website and when I did , I refused to sign a contract because the website states they can change their terms as any time and the member is bound by those terms without even knowing what they are unless they check the website on a daily basis. This company is a SCAM. BEWARE. I have been in agony since the massage I had there. This place is dangerous. read more

I will never go back to this place again. After my wife received a great massage & felt super relaxed, she was bombarded by the front desk staff to give them her credit card to keep on file. They were aggressive and relentless with trying to get her to sign up for some package or membership. She told them she'd think about it and they simply WOULD NOT LET UP. For 15+ minutes, they persisted. All effects of my wife's relaxing massage were erased by their unprofessional, relentless behavior. When a customer says "no thanks" "not today" and/or "let me go home and think about it" - then s/he should not then be harassed. It left such a bad taste in both of our mouths. It's unfortunate because we do receive regular massages elsewhere and would have considered a membership here, but there is absolutely no way we will ever return to a place that treats its customers so aggressively and obviously doesn't understand that no means no (!). On top of all that, the membership rates and the regular massage rates aren't even that great for what you get. read more

be careful!!! i have been going to massage envy in brickell for 5 months now. the first day they make me sing some papers, they never explain to me what the papers were, and that i was signing a contract with a monthly fee. they never charged my account monthly, the waited 6 month and charge my bank account $399. i talked to them and they said that the person who did it was not working there anymore. they agreed to return part of the money, but they havent done it. be really careful in that place, dont trust anybody. read more
