Hi name is David Trujillo (786-402-5859). I've been a member at this location for a long time and I called in today to speak with a manager to bring my account up to date. I spoke with a lady who said her name was Rebecca. I had a really challenging time speaking with her and she made me feel extremely unhappy by the end of the conversation. She said she is the only one who does billing or freezes there and I asked her to help me with my account. Turns out my account is past due for six months because I had lost my job. I explained to her that I want to make it right. She immediately and unpleasantly said that she can't waive the 6 months for me and I said that's not what I want to do or asked! That was presumptuous of her to even say. I then said I want to make my account current but can't make a payment till the 7th of January. She proceeded to tell me that she can't help me bc the company is loosing $$ with my past dues despite that fact that I have 7 massages paid and have been a member for years. All I wanted at this point is for my account To not be cancelled and for her to understand that I want to pay. Yet, her responses were beyond rude and unkind and she simply did not care if I lost my membership, the 7 massages that are our and if the company lost the payment for the amount I owed. I continued to beg her to please help me not get cancelled until the 7th and she said I can do nothing for you. I apologized repeatedly and I became frustrated that she just did not care. She was distant and threatened to hang up the phone on me. She finally gave me a number to call and she said to call lidia at 786-602-7246. No one picked up and I still feel terrible. I ask message envy to please not cancel my account until Jan 7th and I will make the payment then. Can another manager please call me so that I can make it better. Very disappointing experience! Waste of money! Terrible uncaring "customer service"! and very low standards. I recently was in a car crash. To help me feel better, my husband went yesterday and prepaid for a 1-hour massage. I was really looking forward to it. Today was my massage at 11.30am. I was there early at 11.10 to fill in the paperwork as requested on the ipad. My massage therapist came to get me right at 11.30. she asked "oh, is that your ipad to fill out? They never gave me the info. Did you fill it out?" pointing at the ipad next to me. I told her yes and that I did fill it out. So I had to repeat everything I just filled out like which areas to focus on or avoid, etc. Then I got into a nice comfy heated bed. The massage was rushed and not much effort was made. It felt like I was just getting oil rubbed in, in a rushed and not relaxing way. She did ask me if her pressure was O.K. and made attempts to adjust her pressure, but the massage just felt like no effort was made and everything just felt rushed. For example, to work on the back side of my leg, she flipped the blanket off, quickly rubbed some oil on my calf and then removed the oil with a hot towel, then flipped the blanket back onto my leg leaving me to think to myself "that's it? That can't be it! Surely, she is coming back to properly massage that area!" but the whole massage was like that. I just feel that although the massage therapist had a friendly attitude, she wasn't trying at all. I remember thinking "I'll need a massage after this massage" because of how stressed I was getting. I thought about walking out half way thru the massage but didn't as I wanted to see if things would improve - it never did. I was left feeling disappointed when the massage finished, knowing I didn't get my moneys worth and didn't get any benefit from my massage such as relief of tense muscles. The massage therapist said she'd be waiting outside the door when I finished. When I dressed, no one was there. I walked outside to call my husband and tell him I finished so he could come pick me up. While on the phone, the receptionist rudely interrupted my call to tell me I was needed inside to pay. I came inside to the front desk. There are two front desk people, the one sitting to my right with the super long eyelash extensions was awful, very very rude. She said "that will be $70 for the massage and what do you want to leave for a tip?" It's very presumptuous to assume that I want to leave a tip first of all, that is discretionary. Shouldn't her question be phrased as "would you like to leave a tip?" I told her, "no I had a very bad experience, my massage was bad and I will not be leaving a tip." She looked at me blankly and said "ok so just pay the $70 then." I said to her "Nothing is owed now, my husband came and pre-paid for me yesterday." She proceeded to dig through the file on the computer, and both receptionists asked me if I was sure, and asked multiple times how did he pay? Apparently, they couldn't find it. I insisted that he already paid. Finally they found it in the system and said "ok, found it. You are good to go." I said "so, I just told you I had a very bad massage and that's your response?" the receptionist only looked at me for a bit, said nothing, and then proceeded to ignore me by typing on the computer. I said: "no? nothing? Not interested? You don't care that I didn't have a good massage?" nothing. She just sat there. So I just walked out. I laughed and said "ok, you know what, you have a nice day then. Enjoy." And as I was leaving, I heard her call out to my back in a mocking manner "yeah I will enjoy my day. You too, you enjoy." Such rude and uncaring service at the front desk!! It seems the staff are untrained, unsupervised and the spa is poorly run with poor management and very low starndards . The service quality was very low and the massage therapist does not seem to have had any training. The least the front desk lady could have done was apologize upon hearing that I didn't enjoy my massage. This was my first and LAST time coming to a massage envy regardless of the location. THEY'RE NOT WORTHY of envy. It's a very impersonal, no-frills experience--the antithesis of what a massage should be. You walk into the store, and someone demands from behind the desk, "Do you have an appointment?" and then, "Can I see your license?" and the guy behind the desk grabs your ID and slaps it on a copy machine. Wait! What? Is that really necessary?? After several pages of paperwork someone takes you on a "tour." There's a tiny little waiting room where they have comfy chairs, and an electronic "foot massager," which is just a vibrating board to put your feet on. Then there's a hot/cold water dispenser that doesn't work today, and they point out a plaque for "Employee of the Month"--seriously? There's a series of closed doors, which are the treatment rooms, and one marked "employees only," which seems to be their break room and there are literally people spilling out of it--the door won't close because there are too many people inside laughing and talking and bustling in and out. You have to push past a line of people waiting in front of the doors to the 2 unisex restrooms. Then, the massage. It was great! If you could block out the rest of the experience, there'd be 2 more stars on this review. But! There's the apres-massage sales pitch, of course. The fumbling inarticulate lad with the laminated page of package deals who messes up the prices, not once but 3 times before finally giving up and moving behind the desk to allow you to pay and leave, but then his colleague jumps in to make one last ditch pitch to try to get you to buy a package, and it's time to level the laser-stare at him and say in your best Clint Eastwood stone-cold voice, "No, I'd like to pay for today's service and go NOW, thank you." read more

First and Foremost I've been a fan of Massage Envy for a couple of years now. I'm working in Miami and decided to give this one a try. The receptionist (Marisol) had an attitude and was rude from the get go. She was barking out deals as I was checking in with another associate. I schedule two massages, one for myself and one for my dad. The yelp deal seems to be a surprise to them. I mentioned it a handful of times prior and after the massage but they were still trying to charge me for the extra Half hour. My dad was told that his masseuse was not available and he had to reschedule. They finally found someone to take him in an hour after our scheduled appointment. The one star is for their customer service and front desk receptionist. The massage was amazing. I came out feeling relaxed and all the stress returned trying to deal with the front dest incompetence. read more

This location opened on September 28 and is owned by the same person that owns the SoMi location, and that is evident. The place is peaceful as you walk-in. Staff here is very friendly, professional and warm. This is a large location with 12 massage rooms, with beds that warm-up, and a waiting area with 7 individual, comfy chairs. The massage rooms near the entrance (Rooms 1, 2 and 3) have barely audible noises from the outside. So, if you have a peaceful massage in any one of those rooms you won't have to worry about loud talking or slamming doors disturbing your zen. I've had massages with Cristina and Ivonne who are both EXCELLENT. They're great at deep tissue massages. There are always specials going on for either free aromathery or free 30 minute sessions, so ask the staff for more info when you call or visit. read more

Definitely far from the best massage I have ever had, they push membership so hard that it is hard to feel relaxed. A friend had a facial and she said the person spent the whole time making her feel bad about her skin and trying to pressure her into buying products. Definitely not a pleasant experience. They are a franchise so their focus seems to be quantity over quality. Research some other places if you want a massage membership. Here, if you don't use them, you lose them, unless you pay even more money to keep them. 8/22 Wanted to put my update to my review here as well so that it can be sure to be read : I cancelled my membership months ago and I have an email confirmation to prove it and then all of a sudden they charge me again for the membership fee months later. I will NEVER step foot in a Massage Envy again, and I would never recommend this company. After having one massage months ago, they insistently talked me into signing up for their monthly membership. I refused until they informed me of a 3 day grace period to cancel the membership. I signed up so they would top pestering me. The next day I called, cancelled, and received a confirmation code. Easy enough, right? Wrong. The next month, I received a call from Massage Envy saying that I had a free massage waiting for me, and would I like to schedule my next appointment. I thought this was suspicious, as there is no way Massage Envy would give me a "free" massage. I checked my credit card transactions online, and what do you know, I am being charged for the membership that I thought had been cancelled. After weeks of calling, waiting on hold, being hung up on, leaving messages, and empty promises from Massage Envy staff, I have given up. Employees promised to leave a message for their managers, managers promised to call me back, and when I finally get ahold of a manager she tells me that my membership was never truly cancelled, and the only person who can help me is the specific manager that I dealt with the day I called to cancel. That is absolute BS. When I called to speak with that manager, she put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on me. When I called back (several times) my call was ignored. The business strategy of this company is absolutely despicable. Practically forcing customers to sign up for their monthly membership, and then lying to customers that want to cancel. To blatantly hang up on me, ignore my calls, never return my messages...baffles me. They don't have the time to return my messages regarding my cancellation, but they somehow have the time to call me every month to inquire about me scheduling my "free" massage for the month. The staff is always seemingly polite, but they are obviously intentionally ignoring me. I do not blame the employees, as I am sure their supervisors are forcing these strategies down their throats. I received a gift card for a 1.5 hour massage (including tip). They messed up the entire experience! I got there at 3:55 for a 4:00 appointment. I filled out my paperwork and they took me in shortly after. I looked at the clock and it said 4:05. The masseuse did a good job on my back, but I felt as though all the limbs were rushed. I sat there feeling that I wasn't getting my full hour and a half and it was not very relaxing, to say the least. Aside from the fact that I scheduled a 1.5 hour massage, when the masseuse told me we were done, it was 4:53. Not even 50 minutes. I told the masseuse I scheduled a 1.5 hour appt and she me to take it up with the front desk. The only solution they could offer me was another hour massage at the introductory price. So the gift that I went on for and was supposed to walk out without paying a dime, I am now paying tip for something I didn't even want. I am hesitant to even go back for the other hour because 1. It won't be an hour, and 2. If it is even the slightest bit rushed, it will not be a relaxing experience. No more chain spas for me! read more

I get massages on a somewhat regular basis and prefer places like this, where you don't pay for the overhead costs of a sauna, locker room , etc. My masseuse was terrific. Energetic and the deep tissue didn't fade toward the end of the hour. Yes, they try to promote their packages, but would you? ...if that is the only knock that you have, then come when you can and have a candid conversation if you're not interested in the membership. Prior to coming to Massage Envy I had picked a random massage center by Coral Way. It was such a terrible experience. The massous at that other place just rubbed her hands w oil all "over" my body, and there was absolutely no technique... I think I had gone to one of those "happy ending" massage spas in Miami as it was 10 pm and at 1030 pm there were guys coming in still. Anyways, after that experience I decided to go to a massage spa where I KNEW there were licensed massage therapists and a place that was reliable and had credibility. I had been to one massage envy spa in California and had a good experience so I decided to give this place a shot since I had been "mishandled". I was so glad that I came to massage envy the following day ! The customer service was spectacular . They gave me a robe as they saw I got wet from walking under the rain. Also, Irma was amazing and worked in my upper back area where I had some hard knots. She customized my massage, asked me about pressure and made me fall asleep when she started massaging my feet! Haja I think I was dreaming at some point . It was the best choice to make after a bad massage experience at the "oriental massage" spa in coral way. That same day I became a member. Fantastic experience at Massage Envy- Brickell! I got a gift card and visited this location to get a 90 minute deep tissue massage for only $74.99. What a deal! The massage therapist (I wish I remembered his name) was absolutely fantastic and he used the perfect amount of pressure. I felt amazing afterwards and I would love to go back! After my session, the ladies at the front desk were a little pushy trying to sell me their monthly membership package. I totally understand that's their jobs so it didn't really bother me. The membership sounds like a great deal- $59.99 per month for a 1 hour massage- but because I get massages 1-2 times per year it definitely wasn't worth it to me. I've been a member for more than 2 years and whenever I want to come in especially with my crazy working hours, Ill always find a spot. I received a birthday girt certificate for 90 minutes of any service. My only regret is not using it until 4 months later! I am so impressed with this place I got myself a membership. I was able to get a massage the same day I called. They offer you tea when you walk in, they are all so nice & welcoming & you can tell they really want to be there. I filled out a questionnaire about my concerns and then was walked into my room. I wanted a deep tissue massage & O'Sneedy was THE BOMB!!! This guy is so educated & really knows the body. Absolutely everything about our experience today was wonderful and relaxing. The front desk staff was friendly, they greeted us immediately and offered us refreshments. They checked us in quickly and i think I was heading back to my massage within 10 mins of arriving. The massage itself was absolutely perfect! The masseuse respected all the consent areas i had set up at checkin and was careful to ask regularly if the pressure was good and if i wanted more or less. After our massages, they did try to sell us a monthly package, but No One was pushy about it. WITH tax and 20% tip my total came out to $73 and that is a great price for the service level we received. I had heard that massage envys are "too corporate" or too much like a chain restaurant but i have to say i definitely didn't feel that way today and i will definitely be back the next time I'm in the mood for a massage! read more

A small gem of a massage envy, this particular spa is nestled in a quiet corner of the Mary Brickell Mall's courtyard. Appointments are easy to come by, which is a plus if you're one for spontaneity like myself. The girls at the front desk are sweet and lavish their guests with tumultuous hospitality and welcome. The massage therapists are professional and quite good. My only critical comment would be that they are a bit too over zealous about their "diagnosis" upon leaving. For example, my last visit came to an end with my massage therapist telling me i should stretch and take a warm shower to relieve stress... um duh, i came for a nice massage, not health advice. Otherwise, Indeed, I have not been disappointed yet with any massage I've had here, and if I'm not being too bold, that's saying something. read more
