The location is great, and everyone I've met here has been professional, nice, and most importantly great at giving massages! Be careful getting stuck with a contract. The sales reps that work there will lie to tell you can cancel anytime however this isn't the case. They pause your account and you're still responsible for 12 months of payment. I've been trying to cancel my contract for the last two months and have been stuck with payments and I never use their service. Bad business is ran here. read more

I enjoy coming to this massage envy. Is so close to my office so for me works out perfectly. Staff has always been pleasant and never had an issue with them. My favorite part and person is Angelica. She is an amazing masseuse, since the first appointment I had with her I loved her. She is super kind, always asks if the pressure is ok, and overall I love what she does. Her English is not perfect but I believe her work is amazing! I feel great after a visit with her. She is the only masseuse I have tried and I wouldn't change her for anyone. You get what you pay for. I only came here because I needed a quick massage and this was the only place that had availability on such short notice. When I walked in, the place seemed clean, they had relaxing music, the aroma was nice...okay I thought, maybe this won't be so bad. They had me fill out a questionnaire which asked which areas I wanted them to focus on and why. They also asked which areas I DID NOT want them to touch. I told them I DID NOT want them to touch my face. The massage wasn't the worst...actually it might have actually been the worst I've had now that I think about it. It was far from the best I've ever had, but I did come out feeling relaxed. One thing I hated was that the sheets were not comfortable. It felt like my chest was getting a rug burn during the massage which was very uncomfortable. Not only that but the padding for the face area was not too plush and my face kept hitting the metal area. It really took away from the massage. Oh and I guess the masseuse was low on lotion, because every time they went for more, it made that loud noise, as if there was no more lotion in the container. Not sure how I was supposed to relax with that loud noise every time they went for lotion. At the end of the massage my masseuse started massaging my face. This was very annoying as I specifically said NOT to touch my face during the questionnaire they had me fill out. Seriously, what was the point of that questionnaire? And why would I want you to put the same lotion you put on my body, on my face? My skin is too sensitive for all that. Hopefully my face doesn't break out tomorrow. Oh and that lotion smelled horrible. I came straight home and took a shower and my husband even made a comment like, next time you go maybe bring your own lotion. Lol. I seriously smelled like an old lady. Anyways... After the massage, I went into the "tranquillity" room. There were approx 8 chairs, a water station....the end. I sat down for 3 seconds, looked around like...why the hell am I here? And shot out of there. Then the people at the front desk tried to sell me the membership. I said, "no thank you". She said, "is there a particular reason why you don't want the membership" I wanted to tell her bc they aren't that great. She kept pushing it. It was pretty annoying. They negate the whole message by trying to force the membership on you. I left no longer feeling as relaxed. If the massages were that great they wouldn't have to press so hard. I'm not sure if the other massage envy locations are like this, but the Brickell location in underwhelming. read more

I am a massage junky. I used to only splurge when I was on vacation or for special locations but one day I really needed one so I went to this location and it's amazing. I'm now a member and have noticed my neck and shoulder tension has improved so much! My fiancé also had benefited from my membership since it's only $10 extra for him to have a couples massage with me!!! I was a little trepidatious to try a massage chain, but they have always been very nice to me. Everything runs perfectly on time. They beds are always perfectly made and very comfortable. The best thing to me is how extended their hours are. You can go late in the evening and on weekends including Sundays while many other spas are closed. They also can get you in for an appointment the same day or the next day when you call. I am only giving 4 stars because they constantly are running new deals- the monday massage and facial, the friday facial upgrade, the gift card deals- and after a while the sales pitch becomes a bit much. read more

I was very disappointed with my last masseuse. I went in for a couple's massage for my anniversary and Angela was not good. I am a member and I like firm and deep tissue. I felt like she was bored while massaging me. She massaged my bones (shins and spine) which made no sense and I told her I wanted focus on my shoulders, legs, and feet. She didn't even massage my feet when I flipped over! And when she "massaged" with the hot towels, she pulled my toes and rubbed the towel into me. No massage. No knots in my back were taken out. I was extremely upset that I wasted my monthly massage with her and especially sad that it was for my anniversary. read more

Last week I was in the brickell area and walked into massage envy where I meet a young lady name Jennifer who does facials I am very well educated when it comes down to skin because I take care of my skin as well. This young lady hands down has to be the most well educated skin care specailist I've ever meet you can tell she is passionate. My relaxation experience was RUINED by the aggressive sales tactics I endured at the end of my massage then again at the front desk before leaving. I felt SO at ease after my massage until right before the massage therapist dismissed himself from the room. It seemed he had to mention the membership with massage envy before lea. At that point as I lay on the bed I felt the tension begin to return to my body. But it was truly the front desk girl who motivated me to write this review. To be honest, I can't even blame her because I'm convinced massage envy is training their employees to be ultra aggressive in their sales tactics. I am calling you out, massage envy! It was very sales robot 101. She had rebuttals and I felt like she was following a sales guideline similar to one I learned long ago. I bet she's trained to take no for an answer only until she's reached the end of the sales script she memorized. What's really upsetting is that my one moment of relaxation was destroyed by someone trying to force me into an agreement of 3 months to a year LITERALLY right after my massage. Here's a word of advice, show more interest in the wellbeing of the people who enter your establishment by maybe sending them an email with their savings if they choose to buy into your packages. That or try selling them before the massage so we can leave without a hassle or feeling uncomfortable! That said, the massage with Eduardo was in fact excellent if you do choose to buy into the package. I just know myself and would never go. read more

I just moved to Miami from New York and was looking for a good place to get a massage and facial every 2 weeks. You can request an appointment online, which I thought was convenient, except that they never called me back and I finally had to call them to schedule an appointment. When I got there, it was very impersonal and rushed. I was told to fill out some paperwork and the guy at the front desk checked on me 3 times to see if I was done and looked really annoyed that I was taking so long. I had to apologize that it took me more than a few minutes to fill out 3 pages and that I don't just sign anything without first reading it, which takes a little longer. I first had my facial with Malia. She was actually great and really the only good thing about my experience. It's too bad that I'm never going back here because I would definitely go to her again. I then had my massage. Both the front desk and Malia had said to me that my massage was scheduled for 90 minutes but it felt very rushed. The massage was ok, nothing spectacular, but at the end after I got dressed and checked the time, it had barely been an hour. When I went out to the front, they were unapologetic for cutting my appointment short, as if I were inconveniencing them. The massage therapist claimed no one told him it was supposed to be 90 minutes, although it was clearly written on my form and when I made the appointment, they made a big fuss about not being able to take me in the morning because my massage would be so long. The person at the front desk told me half-heartedly that I could go back in if I wanted, but I felt that at that point, going in for another 30 minutes after I had already gotten dressed wouldn't help me. I was no longer relaxed. When it came time for the payment, she tried to charge me for the full 90 minute massage. I asked for the breakdown of the prices and she just said, oops. I was clearly unhappy with my service there but not once did I receive an apology. The front desk then just tried to get me to buy a membership, which would not help me since I never plan on going there again. Massage Envy Brickell lost a repeat customer. I will definitely not be going back and I will be sure to tell anyone who is looking for a place to get a massage about my terrible experience. I booked my services about a week in advance. The day of my appointment they called me at around noon to reschedule my 7pm appointment to 7:15pm because the aesthetician I was booked with had an emergency. Not a big deal, just 15 minutes later and I understand things happen. But then I received a call at 7:13 to let me know the new aesthetician I had booked with had car issues and they could see me at 9pm. Very strange two of their staff members had some sort of issue on the same day. This massage envy location just seems a bit unreliable with their scheduling. read more

I would like to take a moment and inform you of the disappointing customer service I have received since joining Massage Envy Brickell. I visited the location with a friend on my Birthday Weekend and received great service which lead me to become a Massage envy member. On my second visit, I was called three times with three different times for my appointment. After clarifying my correct appointment and making adjustments with my schedule I choked it up to being a simple mistake. I enjoyed my facial with Jackie, who also advised me to try the MURAD essential vitamin c kit, which I received. On my third and most recent appointment, I was called for my confirmation and informed that my appointment was at 3:30, I even asked the receptionist if that was right because I had 3:00 as my appointment in my schedule, and she confirmed 3:30. As I arrived at 3:15 I was rushed in and asked to fill out paperwork for my first facial and I informed the girl that it wasn't my first facial at this location or with Jackie. As I was going to the restroom, I ran into Jackie who asked if it was okay to have a trainee observe, I agreed. As I got into the room, I felt a little rush and that is when Jakie informed me that since I was late for my appointment of 3:00 she will only be able to do one cleanse. I was embarrassed because I try not to be late to any appointment, I apologized and said that when the lady called to confirm she informed me that my appointment was 3:30. I had a rushed but enjoyable facial and I was really looking forward to my 60 minute massage. I looked at the time it was only 4:04 I was only running 4 minutes behind now for my massage. As I was leaving the facial room I informed Jackie that I loved the Murad product she had recommended to me and I would need three items from the essential vitamin C kit (the cleanser, serum, and sunblock) she stated she would pull all of the items and have them waiting for me at check out. After my massage which ended at 4:54 (not a full 60 minutes) I went to check out and all the items were there, I assumed they were all correct since I emphasized the essential vitamin c KIT. When I came home I compared the product that I had just purchased with what I had at home and realized that Jackie had provided me with the wrong serum, I again thought it was a simple mistake and Ill will just go to the location and exchange it out later in the week when I could get time off of work. I went to the location today 7/30/2013, to come across the most inconvenient, unorganized customer service. I was greeted by Erika (Manager on duty) I explained the mix up and she stated she would have to call Ary (the actual manager) who wasn't in. After talking to Ary for 5 minutes she proceeded to get a gift card. I stated I did not want a gift card because I had a 150 dollar gift card already. She then again called the manager Ary and then informed me that there was nothing she could do. She would make a copy of my receipt and the manager will be in contact with me tomorrow and I will just have to come back. I informed Erika that this is an inconvenience to me to have to come back to the location, pay for parking to take care of something that as a customer should be taken care of today. She proceed to say there is nothing she can do because the manager and owner were not in. I informed Erika that I do not have the time to come back, I will go ahead and take the gift card. I also informed her that I expect a call from Ary her manager the next day, left my number. I will see if Ary even bothers to call me. I would also like to add that the Murad products are expensive, I have discovered that you can find the same products on amazon.com at a decreased price. With the sub-par customer service I have received every time from confirmation, not having my paperwork, and selling me the wrong product, I am convinced that Massage Envy Brickell does not care about customer service or quality but only quantity of how many clients they can get in the door. I will be canceling my upcoming appointments and transferring to the Midtown location. read more

Rude rude place! My friend walked my there and was stopped by a woman who works there and was offered the first timers rate of 49$. My friend, who has a foreign accent, told het she'll go back to the hotel and get me and come back, so she knew we were out of town. The next day we came back and was told that the tourist rate is 78$. I said we weren't told that and that the promoter must have know we weren't local because of my friend's accent, all she said was she was sorry, so I added that had we known the actual rate we would have looked for another spa. I went to Massage Envy today for my birthday, and while my facial was AMAZING, the aggressive sales tactics quickly ruined my zen. While I am aware that gratuity is included in the price, my 50 dollar facial ballooned to 80 bucks. The woman up front kept trying to push a membership on me THAT DAY, and kept asking for a card to put a membership on (I was thinking about getting one before, but I don't take well to demands). Got a massage tonight that started 5 minutes late and ended 10 minutes early. I had to stop it half way through because the room was so miserably Hott. The therapist kept apologizing for how warm it was but said there was nothing he could do. I got up to get water and he said he told the front desk about the temperature. Overall, I was still charged for 1.5 hours despite starting late, stopping during, and ending early. What a rip off. I'll be canceling my membership soon. read more

Awful customer service, I have been a member for many many years but the last couple of months the service has been below the basic standards, right before the marathon I booked an appointment and the day before they cancelled because the therapist was not going to be working that day. Then next they are having computer problems and messed my appointment, so after calling them and being on hold for several minutes, somebody picks up and hangs up the call; and I call back and the hang up the call, then I call again and after trying to put me again on hold I asked me not to put me on hold and they finally said they were having computer issues, that they will call me back to set up an appointment which they did, but they booked it at the wrong time when I showed at at 7:30 i found out that my appointment was at 9 pm. a total disaster, horrible customer service and lately all the good personal have left and the quality is really average. I went in with my husband when I was pregnant and we did a dual massage. On the paper they ask you to fill out when you walk in they ask your trouble areas. During my prenatal massage the lady did everything I asked NOT to massage! It's said during some time of pregnancy not to massages legs. Well she did. I should have asked her to stop. But I didn't think in it wouldn't be too long. Well the leg massage was like half the massage. I told them at the end and they had some very unapologetic words. So it's now 10 months after my son is born and my sister-in-law and husband surprised me with a massage. Finally. Super excited. Only they take me here. I remembered thinking I didn't NOT want to come back but I was so desperate that I didn't care. My appointment was at 2. The actual "massage" started at 2:06 and ended at 2:53. Now 11 minutes doesn't seem like a lot but to a mother of a newborn that's an ETERNITY. I asked why it wasn't a full hour and she replied it takes time to talk things over in the beginning. Whatever. The lady was very nice but all the ladies who worked there were all coming out of one room giggling like school girls. It was odd. Forgot to mention that on the paper they ask to fill out I asked for certain places I didn't want to be worked on. Again the same problem ensued. Never will I come back here. They are shady with their package deals as well. If you do the math you are actually being charged more. Good: - Good massage -Staff was very friendly -Didnt have to wait long -Massage was one hour on the dot Bad: -The room was freezing! I spent half of the time shivering during the massage -Small waiting area that is not really comfy -Wouldnt go their again because it doesnt really feel like a spa -Doesnt provide with a relaxing environment... mainly because of the lack of relaxing music and the freezing temperature! - Not a spa "ambiance" or decoration more like an office -Staff kept trying to convince you to buy a membership. The counter staff are discourteous. Upon arrival, the desk girl rudely asked me to get my ID out and have it ready for her. When I didn't do this in 3 seconds flat, she gave me a very nasty look and snatched it away once I finally handed it to her. They took my ID but never returned it. I had a flight early the next morning and discovered at the airport the ID was missing. Luckily I argued my way onto the flight with a 15 year old college ID I happened to have on me. When I called to have it overnighted they made no effort to get it out that day despite the fact that FedEx is about 50 feet away and not knowing when I had my return flight. The ID was sent out the following day with little apology. I asked to speak to the owner regarding this and was never contacted. After almost a week I finally tracked the owner down and he was unapologetic as well. Won't be returning. read more

So we thought maybe we would get a membership but they were so aggressive and insisting by 3 different employee after we already said no to one, they ruined the whole experience. We left more tense.
