Up there in quality and professionalism (I've had some creepy experiences at other massage parlors before), and this location is much better than the other MEs in the area. Absolutely upset with customer service. The woman at the front desk was short and rude, her name was ELLA. She's the type of person who doesn't listen and keeps speaking with a fake smile. The type of individual who says "I'm so sorry to hear that" and moves on rather quickly to something else. The type of person that speaks down to you. I entered this establishment to have a wonderful relaxing time and instead I walked in to a woman who was rude and seem like she didn't enjoy working there and had to make it clear to me because I was early I wouldn't be able to go to the back until my right time. Now get this I never said I wanted to go to the back, I just walked in and that's the first thing out of her mouth. I said okay. I was like this woman is trying to start with me. So if you're looking for a massage parlor that will make you feel relaxed and wonderful with a great overall experience, Don't go here! This place was HORRIBLE! The esthetician that was assigned to me was Denise and she was fantastic. She really knew her stuff and my skin looked and felt amazing. This place is such a mess. The systems aren't linked so they can't update or pull certain information, supposedly. Diana at the front desk is rude and argumentative. Scoffed at my husband when he asked a question and refused to let him speak because she couldn't stop interrupting. They refused to print us a cancellation form until my husband asked them repeatedly to call the corona store; since they kept saying it needed to come from Corona where we established membership. (Although the Corona-Eagle Glen store said that any store could give us a cancellation form to have submitted). Previous to the experience today my husband would see two massage therapist Rayna and Heather (I think was her name) and they would continually mention how he saw the other the prior time then proceeded to talk poorly about the other - talk about uncomfortable, not to mention unprofessional. So he had to switch massage therapists. The front desk is more often than not rude and dismissive, why work in hospitality if you are going to behave with such disrespect? Needless to say we are cancelling. They book/confirm appointments wrong, blame the customer, behave poorly inside the store and when asked questions or ask to speak with a manager they cal and then refuse to let you speak to them. Diana then left the floor to cry after getting the manager on the line. I can only image what that Manager said to her on that phone call. Manger was "Carla" and we have been trying to reach her but no one answers the line. Monet was able to help and found out how they did in fact book the appointment wrong when they switched from my husbands usual masseuse Melissa to Cynthia (as Melissa was already booked and they said Cynthia "was similar in style"). So I highly recommend you DON'T COME HERE! They are horrible at customer service and honestly, you could probably find a better massage place in general. read more

Think TWICE before signing a membership. I was taken here by a colleague 2 years ago and ended up signing a 12 months commitment with them. However, I started working long hours and was not able to go enough to make the monthly fee worth it. Plus they increased the price to $70 a month so it was becoming less affordable when you're unable to go as often (plus the tips). I ended up having so many credits, even after attempting to freeze my account for 6 months, so I cancelled my membership on the date that I was eligible to cancel. They told me I can transfer/gift my credits for a $10 fee to anyone and I did just that. I had one last credit 3 days before it would expired and I gifted it to my friend who went to massage envy in a different city. However, I had to call this place bc it was my "home" facility to apply the credit to my friend. I called this place twice, the day before and the appointment day to ensure the credit was transferred. The person I talked to said it was transferred and can be used. That person repeated twice and even told me to tell the other facility that if they have a problem applying the credit to call this riverside place to check. The credit did NOT apply when my friend went later that day. They said the credit was already used and could NOT be applied. If it was used, then why did you tell me it was everything was okay? why was the credit still showing active in your system when I called 5 hours prior to my friend's appt time? I called riverside back and spoke to the manager Ashley. Explaining this ENTIRE situation from when i first signed up until now with the credits. She was not sympathetic and not flexible. Even if her staff had mistakenly informed me of my credit transfer. Their mistake screwed me over and I ended up getting charged an extra $60 for my friend's massage and now left with 1 credit to be expired in 3 days. The other facility also informed me that sometimes manager can make exceptions for certain situations. However, this Ashley lady just repeatedly saying "I can't" to everything. It is not because she "can't" it is because she's unwilling to do so. Probably because I just complained how her staff was wrong and misinformed me and now I am left with this extra charge and an unused credit. They lack compassion, sympathy, and consideration even though their plan is called a "wellness" program. It could just be the location. Couple weeks ago, I called the buena park location to cancel a facial appointment bc I was stuck in a snow & rainstorm and couldn't make it back in time. They cancelled my appointment without charging anything. For this riverside place, my friend had food poison and I tried to cancel right when they open and they said no matter what I will still be charged. So, if you are laying in the hospital or very sick or have any emergencies they will probably charge you NO MATTER WHAT! I also have colleagues that have problems when it comes to canceling or resolving issues with their memberships. So, sign up for the membership if you have a lot of money to spend and time to go for the next 12 months. And they will not be flexible with you on anything. I'd rather spend my money on smaller private boutiques that may provide better quality and care for customer service. read more

Unfortunately instead of having that right away, The woman at the front desk Ella was quite rude and had bad customer service. Had a couple gift cards that I had called about the day before to check the balance and the woman on the phone had told me specific balances for each one. So Today me and my wife arrived at Massage Envy and asked Ella to double check the balance on the gift cards before the massages started. She first seemed apprehensive to do it with a bad attitude. She then told me the amounts were different on the phone then what she sees on the screen, so I had asked her how that was she then continued to point at the gift card and repeat what it said several times. I don't really write too many reviews but my last experience at this location was ridiculous. I have only been to this particular location twice, both for 90 min massages. My first visit I had Jenny as my therapist and she was AMAZING (I would for sure give her a 5 star rating) BUT my last visit was with Tiera and I can honestly say that it was the worst massage/experience. First of all I was waiting in the little quite area when she just walked up and said my name and when I got up she just turned around and started walking away towards the rooms...no introduction what so ever...then when I stepped inside the room she asked if I was wanting a full body massage and I responded THE SAME WAY I ALWAYS DO by saying yes but I would like more focus on my back especially and my shoulders and neck and basically upper body getting most focus...the whole time I was talking she was doing something with the ipad in her hand never making eye contact or any kind of connection to let me know she was listening to me...she then just said she'll give me a couple minutes and left the room giving me very little direction but I have had several massages so I luckily knew the drill...a few minutes later she came back into the room and without saying anything she just immediately jumped into the massage...EVERY past massage I have had the therapist has focused on my back mostly but also included my shoulders/neck/arms/hands/head and scalp and ends the massage with spending a short time on my legs and the massages have always been great...this last massage she literally just repeated the same few movements for most of the 90 mins on my back then told me to turn over (I waited for her to hold the blanket up so that I didnt get tangled in it as I turned over but she never did) she then spent the remainder of the 90 mins again just repeating a few movements on my neck/shoulders...my arms/head/scalp/hands/legs were never touched and to top everything off her watch or bracelet kept getting caught in my hair and pulling it...I literally could not wait for the appointment to end...I have been to several other Massage Envy locations and have always had decent experiences/massages BUT this last visit was just all around the worst experience i've had read more

Worse facial ever! I can't believe my husband spent $100 for gift card. What a waste! I have had several facials in the past and they are so rejuvenating and relaxing & this wasn't at all! Normally they rub down neck, shoulders and arms while the facial mask is on and my esthetician just sat there for like 6-8 minutes or longer doing absolutely nothing! Of course my eyes were covered but it was so silent and all I heard was crunching sounds of her eating candy or mints or something. So unprofessional! The excuse by receptionist of why she probably did not run down was that I added on 2 enhancements so sometimes time runs out. Really tell me why she sat around and did nothing for so long but supposedly ran out of time. I will definitely not return and $100 down the drain! I have had a massage here in the past and it was so-so that's why I never returned but i felt bad that I got the gift card as a gift so I figured try out a facial, wish I never had. Disappointed.... I have been a member of Massage Envy for about three years plus. Today I wanted to book massages for myself and girlfriend, which I've done many times before. Natia said that although I had plenty of credits but because we booked massages a couple of months ago on my plan that my girlfriend could not use again. It shouldn't matter how or whom I give my credits to. These are credits that have been auto-deducted from my bank account each month. He was very professional and did a great job. He worked on a couple of problem areas that I had and was able to get them fixed. If I lived in the area I would be a regular customer. I was a runner and my muscles were always tight and body sore. I tried Massage Envy and loved the massage therapist and felt so good afterwards that I joined the membership. I began with 1 hr sessions once a month and felt better. Then I tried 1 1/2 session and felt awesome so that is my time of choice.
