I love Teala at this location (sorry if I spelled it wrong) but the desk staff needs some work. The front desk associate charged my card for another person's purchase and membership. I referred this person and they also enjoyed their facial however they need to have better associates and a more involved Manager if mistakes can only be corrected if they are present. I have had much better experiences at places like this. If you can help it research yelp to see if another location is better suited for your member service needs. If this is what membership feels like, I will look elsewhere. read more

I've been coming to this Massage Envy off and on for a few years now. The thing that impresses me most is how they are willing to do almost anything to ensure that I am cared for and satisfied with my entire experience. I tend to call last minute and hope to get a massage that day or the next day. I have never been unhappy with any of the therapists and definitely found a few I like to request the next time I go. Turn around with their therapists can be short (set up their own business or transfer to other locations) so I don't mind if I get someone new. I prefer a deeper massage than most. They have me on record and know that and will always let me know the type of therapist they have that day available so I will be able to get what I'm looking for. The front office staff are always friendly and welcoming and put you in the right mod when you walk in the door. They make checking out easy as well since I'm usually in a fog when I'm done. It's not just a treat for myself, it's actually a necessity for my well-being (physically and mentally). The price is creeping up there, but it is well worth it. read more

Went to Massage Envy for the first time....I've been meaning to try a massage at one of their many location for a while now, but never got around to it. Maybe it was because I felt they were too corporate, a franchise type deal. But I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the massage. Maybe I got lucky with a great massage therapist. At any rate, I liked it a lot. Really helped out with sore muscles and various other aches and pains on the ole bod from lots of hiking, climbing and working out. I might even go back for another. Sure, they do charge triple what I'm used to paying at Chinese reflexology places. But they have a different technique that is effective in its own way. Worth the extra dough. Because of some challenges I have with my back I've been working with a chiropractor and ME therapists for awhile. I've had physical therapists work on my back at several venues. The deep tissue massages I receive from Jessica and from Carlos at this location help me most of all. Both do outstanding work. While massage is a science in many ways, it is also an art; and some people have the artful touch, while for others it's just the mechanical movements. These two are artists and really helpful. I get real relief from some of my recurring physical challenges. The ladies at the front desk are so helpful, too. Jordan is always so pleasant, professional and efficient. My God. I feel compelled to write about this Massage Envy. They get 1 star only because you have to give them one if you want to review. And Boy, do I want to review..... This is the 2nd time this Massage Envy screws up my appointment. I always call to verify my appt time because they never do. Even though they swear they do. So I called this morning to check on my appt. and they said "appointment is at 6pm be here at 5:45 to update your C.C. on file". Perfect right? WRONG! I get a call at 5:40 "Where are you? I have you down at 5:30 The Therapist leaves at 6:30" WTF? I just called this morning & was told my appt is at 6. Anyway the Receptionist or whomever it was, can only make up excuses, her answer: "they called yesterday stating the 5:30 appt". No one called me or left a message, my cell phone doesn't lie. I had to freaking call this afternoon at 12:20 to verify myself. So no apology, no anything. The last idiotic comment she said was "Wait a minute I need your Credit Card information to update your account." Do you really think I'm going to give you crap??? You just ruined my evening. I have had a monthly membership with your establishment for a year. And you don't want to accommodate me for your mistake, but you will take my money. Nah, not anymore considering this is the 2nd time this has happened. I have gone to the Upland Massage Envy twice and the staff there is really friendly, personable and clearly value their customers. I would recommend driving to that one. You'll be happy. A massage should be your time to relax and not be a sad disappointing ordeal. read more

Question: What's the point of sitting with someone and going over your "focus areas" if the massage therapist isn't going to focus on those areas?!?! I booked a 60 minute full body massage at the introductory price of $60. I sat with one of the ladies at the front desk after checking in with FULL INTENTIONS of getting a membership (at the suggestion of my coworker). Anywho, the lady at the front counter & I went over the areas I'd like my massage focused on. For me that would be calves, feet, & lower back (I'm very athletic & a nurse so I'm constantly on my feet!!) I repeated this info to the therapist once I was in the back. I made it clear that I was there mainly there for those areas. Guess what? I got a shoulder/upper back massage for 80% of the time!!!!!! I even spoke up during the massage & after speaking up I received a 30 second rub on my lower back, then back up to the shoulders the therapist went lol. Toward the end of the service, I was told to flip over. The therapist proceeded to tickle my feet for about 2 minutes and then....it was OVER!!!!!! Lol. What a waste!!! What a flipping waste! I asked for a firm massage. Firm. Told them to assign me to the person with the heaviest hands and that isn't what i received. On the way out, one the ladies at the front desk (different lady from when I arrived) attempted to get me to book a follow up appointment, mouth full of food and chewing like a horse. I bought a few items they had on display $30 worth of body cream and left. Never again. I do not recommend this place. Don't waste your money. I know i did. read more

I am so disappointed with my membership here. I have been here 4 times in the hopes it will get better. Well it hasn't. I arrive 10 mins early for my appointments and wait to be seen for 20 mins. I pay for an hour long massage thats over in 45 mins. I ask for a semi-deep tissue and I feel like I am getting lotion just rubbed on my skin. I cant even relax because I feel like my massage therapist is in such a hurry. I almost feel more stressed and tense when I leave. Second star: For my facials, the estheticians, very knowledgeable and they actually go at least 50 mins plus. The massage could be a little better, again its as if someone is just rubbing lotion on my skin. I will continue my membership only for the facials. I may even try the Ontario location. read more

I had a microdermabrasion apt when I first walked in the only worker at the front was rude. Told me to have a seat and would be with me. I wanted to look around at the different items they had and was told MAM sit down I said I would be with u . Already made me want to walk out . I was taken back for my 1 pm apt at 1:07 pm after talking about my concerns we started at 1:12 pm. By 1:25 I was told I was done and to proceed to the front desk. Seriously!!!!! POOR POOR MANAGEMENT!!! Got got a call from "General Manager" Nancy saying that she is going to cancel our membership, because of an issue with her "junior manager" Amanda at the Eastvale location. Our couples room was DOUBLE booked and they handled it in a very unprofessional way. No apologies, no nothing. What ever happened to customer service & the customer being right??? No wonder so many businesses are struggling to keep their doors open these days. I should have read the reviews before i went here because their service sucked. First off, I booked an appointment over the phone. The receptionist booked me on the wrong day, and even spelled my name wrong. How in the world do you spell jenny wrong? So they never even found me on the appointment list, and the day i went in there weren't any spots open so i had to come back. When i came back, they made me wait 45 minutes past my appointment time, and again, spelled my name wrong. Which made the receptionist take awhile to even find my appointment. My boyfriend made me an appt for a pregnancy massage. He never was notified that we need to arrive 15 min earlier to do paperwork and that he requested for an hour. But I received 45 min massage. Staff gave him hard times saying it's a misunderstanding and did nothing about it. feet. Just did my back, legs and arms. A bit of foot massage. No head or face massage. I would have to say that I was not to pleased when I attempted to make an appointment there for the first time. I had a been a member but I had not used my membership since I signed up. The receptionist that assisted me was rude and possibly did not like her job. But I'm glad that one person doesn't make a company. When I went for my appointment Star the gal that was there was polite, great and accommodating to my needs. The therapist there are wonderful as well, Juan has the best hands ever!!! and Mercedes was a complete expert in doing my facial. I have a membership and have been coming for about 6 months! I called one time a few hours in advance to cancel an appointment and was charged a $30 cancellation fee. Now I u der stand that is part of my contract but when I showed up tonight for my appointment they didn't have me booked! 20 minutes there and 29 minutes home and all I was offered was some smelly lotion on my next visit! I really wish I could give a negative-star review: because that's what I got - I paid for no services received at all. I called today to make an appointment for my friend for 4PM same day. I told Ashley the receptionist that if we can't make it, I'd call and reschedule for the next day. My friend is visiting from overseas and has business meetings he's working around. When I called back to reschedule, I was charged 50% of the massage fee for same day cancellation..........This company obviously doesn't care for customer ratings (that's obvious from their reviews here). But to book an appointment 3 hours in advance for the same day, then to charge a cancellation fee for calling back to reschedule for the next day is ridiculous. When I made the appointment, they took the credit card for a "no show" cancellation fee. When I call 40 minutes before the appointment to reschedule (not cancel mind you) - I still get charged? Obviously, I won't be going back to Massage Envy ever again. read more

The actual massage at Massage Envy is very short: 45 minutes! For $60, that is not a good deal! They get you into the room, stand there forever discussing what you want and what hurts with a clipboard instead of asking anything they want to know while you're on the table giving you a scalp massage or something. Then at the end they make sure to tell you that they're standing outside the door so you have to jump up and clear out for the next person. A few of the therapists are good (usually booked up in advance) and others (often the ones who are available) are really mediocre. I think that is the fault of the management who hires them. Hiring someone who's not good is deliberately screwing over their clients. Hey, they've already got you in a contract, so why should they care? Also, this really bugged me: I was pressured every time I asked for an hour and a half massage, to get a two hour massage. I guess it screws up their schedule to have hour and a half massages, but they shouldn't offer them if they don't want to schedule them! They put them on the menu and then make you feel bad for not getting a 2 hour massage! Crazy! Additionally, the verbal pressure to tip a certain amount is awkward. I think a tip should be based on how great the therapist is. The manager at a restaurant doesn't come over and say in front of the other patrons, "Your meal added up to $60, so how much do you want to tip?" Left on my own, I would tip more that they suggest for a good therapist, but they end up making it their client's problem that they don't pay their therapists enough. On the other hand, why would you work there, underpaid and overworked, if you're really good? It made me feel like I was part of a dysfunctional relationship!! Finally, the front desk has me messed me up so many times, calling at the last minute to cancel my appointment or using a credit card I had originally given them when I had given them a new number. Then just wait till you cancel your membership - a truly stress-inducing experience! It was almost nothing but problems there, or at least that's the feeling I took away from my experience, and that's not what getting a massage should be about. You should be more relaxed when you leave, not more stressed! read more

Brandy, the Esthetician that I had was very knowledgeable and explain to me how beneficial facials were for men due to facial hair. I have had 5 different Massage Therapists, and they are all very good, I even tried a facial for the first time and I loved it as well! This location does not have a relaxing room (where you can wait for your apt) like other massage envy's do. The massage therapists are very hit and miss here. More often, they do not listen to my needs. I actually had a therapist texting during my session, but upon calling the manager, they let me know that they let that therapist go. The aesthetician that does facials is AMAZING. Unfortunately she is the only one at this location so it is hard to get an appointment with her, but the wait is soooo worth it. read more

In particular, I want to commend and recommend massage therapist Ted Viola. He is a professional and excellent therapist, and a friendly and personable human being. He always tailored my sessions to address specific issues, focusing on problem areas, and on more than one occasion he observed and brought to my attention possibly suspicious lesions/moles for examination by a dermatologist. After talking with the regional manager I was able to get the gift card processed and everything was smoothed out and taken care of! I appreciate the help and cooperation by the manager and all of her help throughout the misunderstanding! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I had gotten massages before from massage envy at this same location in Orangecrest and never had a problem until now. I received a gift card from my sister for my birthday and for my spring break I wanted to start it off right with a massage. So I booked it 2 weeks in advance and the women who booked it knew I had a gift card. So the massage happens and when I walk out of the room and into the check in area I looked at both employees who were on the phone helping customers and neither one of them acknowledged me. So I left thinking that I was good to go since my gift card was on file or so I thought. A couple days later I was looking at my bank account a noticed a charge for the full amount of the massage. So I drove back there the next day to talk to them and discuss how I could apply my gift card to get the charged cleared. The employee informed me that I cannot just apply the gift card and get an exchange because it is not the same day of the transaction. This employee was the same one who was there the day I got my massage and remembered me and she said that when I left they decided to charge the credit card on file. My problem with all of this is that they couldn't honor my gift card and rather than using my phone number on file to call me they assumed they should charge me rather than call me to get an explanation. This is a terrible business model to have. They could have waived at me while they were on the phone to have me stay or just called me once they got off the phone to have me come back rather than charge it and so too bad there is nothing I can do. read more
