Wish I could give them a zero star. My husband and I went in for our 6-year wedding anniversary and this really ruined our celebration. Because of this experience, I will never walk into another massage envy again in my life. Our actual massage therapists and treatments were EXCELLENT and EXCEPTIONAL and EXCEEDED my expectations. The front desk staff is the issue. We were gifted a $100 gift card to go to massage envy. I decided to make a last minute couples massage for my husband and I. All locations were understandably booked so we ended up at this horrid location. Unfortunately I could not locate that gift card; my husband wanted to cancel but I told them about their stringent cancellation policy so we went anyways. I mistakenly went to the other riverside location 15 minutes before my appointment. This office seemed great, front desk staff were great, greeted us instantly, the office was gorgeously decorated, and they called the other location to let us know that we're on our way. They stated they should be able to help us as this was an innocent mistake, and even gave us the address to Orangecrest. It took about 15 minutes to get to Orangecrest. From outside, the location is not half as attractive as the other riverside location. We walked in, there were about 4 women standing behind the front desk. It took about a minute for one of them to RUDELY acknowledge our presence, "hi??!" I told her we had an appointment but were late because we went to the wrong location. She said k and started looking through the computer. My husband then asked if the other location called. She said ohh yes. I then said would it be possible to get a 30-minute massage versus an hour so we do lose our money. Another front desk staff decided to jump in acknowledge our presence and said Ohhh they're booked right after. I said ok but can we do 30 minutes versus one hour? She said oh well we can't. I said why not can't you just change it 30 minutes? She then said well we don't offer 30 minute sessions. I then said can you go over time to get us the few minutes of lateness back? My husband started reexplaining the situation assuming the lady was not understanding our plight. Another front staff jumped in and decided to suddenly get us regjstered because "this was wasting more time". I assumed her cutting off the conversation meant that she would somehow accommodate us at the end with a discount or a gift card. As the front staff checked me in and another one checked my husband in, mines asked me for my address, when I told her my city (Rancho Cucamonga) she said "oh! Ok!" I don't know what that meant, as if she were surprised because I'm a very young black woman living in a nice city and maybe that's why they ignored us when we walked in initially. Anyways, like I said our sessions were AMAZING. I wish when I booked my total stretch over the phone the front desk would have TOLD me I was supposed to wear gym clothes. Fortunately, my clothes were stretchy enough so my INCREDIBLE therapist made it work. But checking out with the front staff was annoying as well. Front staff was still incredibly rude and short and did not offer a discount or gift card or free product or service for the issues and unprofessionalism. The lady who cut off the conversation was gossiping with two other women about services and my VERY generous husband looked angrier than when we came in and refused to tip a penny. When my husband refused to tip one of the front desk staff said to the other, "ok! I'm leaving!" And walked from behind the desk. My husband, obviously irritated by the whole ordeal, stood at the door facing the door until we were done checking out. We both said as little as possible and ran out as soon as we were done. It's not even about the money; it's about customer service! Yes, you make money off of your cancellation policy and not offering discounts. But you ruin your relationship with that customer and lose THOUSANDS that you could have gained from that customer over a lifetime. My husband and I are execs and we travel a lot so we get massages monthly to ease the back pain. They lost two customers they could've had for a lifetime. BEWARE OF RIDICULOUS CANCELLATION FEES! Even if it is not your fault they will charge you for cancelling without caring about your specific reason! I cancelled same day due to a traffic accident and I called an hour before while on my way but my phone died. I then told them at the time of my appointment when my phone finally turned on that I was still on traffic and since I cancelled the same day I was charged 62.5 even though I was going to become a member and felt like I should of at least been charged a member late fee. Elvia is gone and she was the best. I requested a freeze on my sons account over the phone. They said they can't do it. I said I'm in the area I can stop by they said the "manager in charge of that is not in so I would have to do it online". I do it online and think it's taken care of but no I'm still being charged. Three months later I'm still being charged yet every time I call they say the account is on a freeze and doesn't show that I'm being charged so I email screenshots of my bank statements. Conveniently there is never the proper manager that handles accounting in. I don't go to this location anymore but whoever they hired or took over 8 months ago ( based on these yelp reviews) has had a negative impact on this location. I am told to wait again till tomorrow for the proper manager to be in. Go to another location that knows what they are talking about when you call. Definitely don't sign up. read more

I cancelled my service June 2017 it is now November and over $500 in charges popped up on my credit card. I called the store it is 824 in the morning and her response was that they were not open yet they were not open until nine. The website shows 8 AM still waiting for a resolution to my dispute. Do not sign up for any monthly service with them or give them your credit card because they charge it whenever they please. It's now June and AGAIN they started charging my account in excess of $280 they are absolute crooks! Tina gives a nice facial! Had a 90 minute last night, it was wonderfully relaxing, hydrating, and my skin feels awesome! Went here with the better half the other day for massages. We arrived promptly at the scheduled time and once seated in the waiting area, my fiancee was quickly greeted and taken to the massage room. I continued to wait and was engrossed in my new IPhone game. When I looked up, 30 minutes had elapsed and I asked the customer service girl, "How much longer will I be waiting?". Come to find out, they forgot about my appointment. Since I was in a time crunch and had to be somewhere after my initial appointment time, I decided to continue waiting for the fiancee to finish. I was given a free 30 minute session for the inconvenience but I still don't understand how you forget about an appointment, especially since I was sitting in the waiting area for everyone to remember. On a separate note, to the customer service individuals working there. Anyways my wife makes the appointment and when she gets there they rushed her in a room she had no choice in what she wanted. I am 5 months pregnant and went for my first prenatal massage yesterday. I scheduled an hour massage and should not have wasted the money. I used to be a member in AZ and loved it so I expected a lot more! First of all, I tried requesting an appointment online and nobody every got back to me! Once I called the office and made an appointment, they didn't have very many available and had to wait longer than I had wanted. Additionally: 1.) My massage only lasted 45 minutes-NOT 60 2.) There wasn't any relaxing music-complete silence (awkward & annoying because I could hear others talking in the hallway). 3.) Because of the silence, my therapist felt the need to chit chat a lot of the time. 4.) The massage was worthless. I would have much rather had my husband give it to me. Plus, the therapist kept missing spots then would say "oops" and go back. 5.) The sales people pushed the membership too hard. Overall, I was totally disappointed and will not go back. In the past few months this place has really gone down hill. Both of the women I used to go to for facials are gone, and the turn over for employees is extremely high. They've cancelled appointments on me three times in the past six months. It's getting even more difficult than before to get an appointment at the same time as my husband. Then it picked up. But now it's horrible. This is the 2nd time that something randomly happens to my appointment. First time they said I was never scheduled, but I would just randomly show up. The second time this morning. I'm waiting for 20 minutes reading a ripped up magazine( was the best one that I was able to read) look like kids were back there. The front girl comes an tells me that my massage person just called out. But we can see you later an throw in some oils. After making accommodations to have my newborn get watched for my original time there new time wouldn't work plus it was going to less time then what I schedule for. They sure weren't going to help me or try to figure something out. I asked for another service, nope cause everyone is booked. Too much to say. So I will sum it up by saying: don't waste your time or money with this franchise. If you don't use your session per month and you have several sessions added up then you have 30 days to use your sessions or you lose your money if you want to cancel your membership. Yes you can freeze your account but then you have to pay 60.00 at the end of the freeze and then do your cancellation. If you want to give a session to a friend or family member there is a 10.00 transfer fee. I wasn't told that until I came in and they wanted to charge my acct. I said I didn't know there was a fee and their prompt response was its in your service contract. And my reply was I don't carry that around with me or refer to it. I should have been advised when I made the appt. They have a large turnover of therapists. I don't believe they pay well. I asked the same question 3 different times and got the same answer until the manager chased me out to the car telling me the cutoff age was 15 for a minor to have a massage. The receptionist took me to the waiting room in the back and had me fill out a general information form. The masseuse came and got me and the first words out of her mouth were, "I'm just going to work on your back because you were late." I was confused about what she said because I wasn't late, I was actually a couple minutes early...she started the session at 2:15 The massage was good, but at 2:55 she finished the session. It's always a chore to schedule a session for myself & my spouse at the same time, and no we are not picky. Today, we both had 2 hour sessions. My husband is taken in on time while I sit for 10 minutes into my massage time. Then, the manager comes in and says my masseuse will be 30 min or so late. She offered a stretch session with a different masseuse but I did not want stretching, I spend an hour at the gym doing that. I wanted stress relief but instead I got more stress going here. Ridiculous! I have about 10 hours saved up only because this kind of stuff is always happening! We are paying $150 a month for nothing. Save $60 and buy a box of Biore Strips! I've never had a facial before and decided to give it a shot. My two concerns were the black heads on my nose and my age spots. After an hour long lecture on everything I had been doing wrong with my face I walked out of there with my age spots actually looking darker and the blackheads just as black as ever along with an angry red mark on my nose. They also talked me into buying $100 worth of products that she had supposedly used on my face. Stupid me, I didn't think to ask for a mirror before wasting my money on products that had obviously pissed off my face. I went for the first time a couple months ago. I was shocked at how organized they were. The staff were super friendly a d offered me drinks multiple times. It was a really warm, clean and relaxing facility. It took longer than I expected to actually get started. When it did start I was so relaxed and loved the massage so much. They try to charge you for massages even when you have a membership and prepaid massages. When you question their policies they say they will have a manager call. It's been a month and two requests and yet I am still waiting for a call. And when you call, their receptionists make snarky comments and do not try to remedy the situation. They instead make condescending comments and laugh, and when you ask to speak to a manager, there is never one available and they rush you off the phone because they have a "customer".
