    Finding an honest, trustworthy & reliable Mechanic is rare. I'd like to think I found one today. Outstanding & fast communication by owner & Master Mechanic Kevin!!! Making an appointment was a breeze. Called him up & he phoned back ASAP, he is also very good with texting you back when he's not running around taking care of customers' cars. Price very reasonable but more importantly he's honest & value his customer. Please keep up the great work, keep improving Kevin & if you do, you'll have me as your customer for life.

    5.0 Stars Outstanding experience and great customer service…read more Yelp brought me here. I did a search for the top auto repair shops in my area and Craftsman was well on the list. Reviews were solid. Once I realized how close I was to two of their locations, I made a mental note to check it out. I called, they were welcoming over the phone and not in a spazzy rush like some of the other shops I had been calling around to. They took their time over the phone!!! I made an appointment to get some estimates, showed up, told them my concerns, and they checked out a few things going on with my car. Again, very welcoming in person as well. I came to get an estimate for front and rear brakes replacements, possible oil change, state inspection. As I waited, I skimmed through two books the owner had written! They said I could have a copy, so kept one. The owner has the right idea and it shows. The waiting area was cozy and super chill equipped with coffee and snacks and TV. What took the service over the top was how well the gentleman took to physically show me what was going on with my car. He also took pictures. In the front office we examined the photos and he explained, and educated me about what was going on and what needed attention and why it was relevant. He made additional recommendations based on car mileage and manufacturer recommended maintenance. We discussed pricing and I agreed to get some of the work done. They gave me a Lyft ride home. Called me when it was done a few hours later. Scheduled a Lyft for me to return. Back at the auto shop, I paid and I was on my way. I felt really impressed because they explained things about my car I had never known about in the 5 years of owning it. I felt educated and walked away understanding things better. In all the 20 years I've maintained cars, no shop has ever explained things to me the way they did. I must admit, I felt the labor fees were a bit steep. I felt my wallet go ouch! However, I feel extremely safe in my vehicle because of everything I learned. I will definitely, without a doubt return for future maintenance work and I will knock out some of the other recommended maintenance items in the near future. Highly recommend. Great experience without a single hiccup.

I canceled my AM personal training session & took the bus to work so that I could drop off car . I called the shop at 1:30 this afternoon asking how things were going and if car woukd be ready by end of day. Response. "Absolutely!" Day at office wraps up, I take bus to Merrifield & walk to shop. Arrive about 4:45. Shop closes at 6pm. I learn nothing had been done. I was told the owner didn't give the ticket to the mechanic. I was asked to give them 25 min to complete oil change. They had the car all day. I asked for my keys & told them I'd never return. AAA auto repair for me. At least there will be good customer service

My friend always recommended Rosslyn Automotive so I decided to check them out. During this last awful visit to the dealership, they told me I needed a new car battery and that it was "in the red zone" so I better do it soon. I decided to bring it to Rosslyn Automotive to get it checked out. Not only did they not charge me to check the battery, but they were honest and told me I didn't need to change it until it takes a bit too long to start (probably when it gets colder). They also gave me a fair price (just parts plus $10 for labor) for when I do come back to get my battery changed. In short - I'm sold, I'm switching where I take my car to next time!

    So this is my second review because I have a semi-oldie but she's still kicking. The owner works…read morethe desk and on cars along with someone else so you will most likely meet him when you go in (this has been my observation). I went in again to follow up plus I am behind on a ton of things since my girl is a bit old and I know she needs a lot. Once again the owner addressed everything I needed and again I paid less than I have in any visit from the past 3 years at the car dealership I purchased her from(got her brand new). For context, I have a 2016 Toyota that I got at a Toyota dealership. I have kept up with all my maintenance at the dealership I purchased her from aside from 3 times from personal connections. All those visits were trash (unfortunately including the 3 from connections). I was overcharged and my car ended up having those parts break in a few months. I came here by accident 6 months ago and I am back getting everything my girl needs done. Why? Well the owner has addressed every issue, explained what he was doing, how much each item cost (while verifying it in front of me) and has told me everything I need vs the things I could wait on. I work 1:1 with customers everyday in a trade position that I am passionate about. I approach my job in the same way. I am honest with my clients and tell them every price breakdown because I hate surprises and I like knowing what I am getting myself into. I appreciate that he has so much care for his craft that he breaks everything down for me without me asking. He wants to make sure you are aware and comfortable. The owner went over his closing time for me and I didn't ask him to, he just wanted to provide a good service and do what he could do I didn't have to come back for a while. I am so grateful I found this place. A place that cares about creating trust with their clients. I hope the owner doesn't ever forget me because I can see him being successful and busy soon! So glad to find a place, especially as a woman, where I can feel comfortable and at peace getting my car maintenance done.

I needed to get a tailliight, back bumper, and side panel fixed on my car. I had many concerns- being ripped off, having my car declared ""totaled" since it was older, the length of time to fix, etc. Daniel was referred to me by one of the companies I called that my insurance company recommended. He was extremely nice over the phone and very patient explaining all the options. I still felt nervous about leaving my car. My insecurity stemmed from the phone always going straight to voicemail. The first time he did return my call right away. I like communication and contact. Once my car was dropped off, communication improved and I learned e-mail was the best way to communicate- not phone or text. Daniel was able to get additional money to do the repair (every auto body shop said the insurance quote was low), not get it declared "totaled" and he fixed it in a timely manner. With the exception of the annoying phone always going to voicemail and then voicemail saying the mailbox is full, my experience was very positive and would be 5 star. Only docking a star over a weird incident with my remote key. He offered to change the battery. This turned out to be more expensive more of a freakish ordeal than I thought. And it somehow resulted in the steering wheel being locked and me losing another day getting my car. So I had to make 2 trips to get it. In summary- fabulous body work, honest guy who will work with you, and the work was top notch...but take your key to the dealer to change the battery.
