Upon arrival I realized my mistake-- the appointment was an entire week away because they were so booked up. I am so glad that I called a nearby place to see if I could salvage the day and get my car usable before work. Not only were they able to get my window in that same day, it was 70$ cheaper than the other place, I was given a ride to Starbucks to wait, and there was a very sweet and jolly poodle in residence at the office. I had 3 chips on my Honda Element windshield and Master Auto Glass suggested I replace the windshield entirely to save money instead of fixing the chips which can't be guaranteed and the windshield would have to be replaced eventually anyways. I took that advice and they came the date I scheduled the replacement and the work was done in about 15 minutes. I don't want to write one of those angry rants, and Ray seems like a decent chap on the phone, but the experience was bad all-around. You might still use these guys for their competitive price, but be aware... Ray works with independent contractors, so it's luck of the draw who shows up. I paid about $285 (don't have the receipt, it was 11 months ago -- stay tuned to see why I'm writing now) and a guy showed up to replace a back windshield which had broken from a tree branch falling on it. The guy was in a hurry, and I offered to help in a couple ways but he assured me he was fine. He left black smudges on my clean upholstery in the back -- there's a glue that hardens and holds the windshield in place, it appeared to be from that. He also left a large amount of broken glass in the crevices. While he vacuumed the pieces which were visible, I could hear the pieces of glass with every turn of the car. I took it in to have a UV coating put on the windshield, and they said there was still tons glass beneath the rear dash panel, which wasn't hard for them to pop off, but by that point lots of pieces were hard to reach. Ray was nice enough to refund me $25 for my trouble with the stains on the upholstery -- luckily they came off when I had it shampooed. But then, 11 months later, I got a charge on my credit card for the service. ANOTHER BILL. $286. NO NEW SERVICES RENDERED. Needless to say this is a fraudulent charge. Ray got it reversed in 2 days, but has no satisfying explanation for why the invoice seems to have magically reappeared. He says this installer is no longer working for him -- and that it's hard to find good people -- and that this guy must have found an old invoice and run it again, perhaps by accident. Whatever. It's a good thing I caught it. Ray offered me another $20 compensation, but so far on my credit card statement it's the original $286 which has been rounded It's a competitive price he offered but this has been a bad experience. read more

I work in a hospital and definitely know the difference between bad, good and excellent customer service. Last night my car was broken into and window shattered, needless to say a stressful situation. I had to call in sick to work and immediately look for help to fix my broken window. I made numerous calls to insurance, dealerships etc.. All of them telling me high prices, no parts, wait until Monday, bring your car in and pick it up. Exhausting! Then I talked to fast auto glass. They found my exact part, came same day, did it at my HOME, cleaned my car and any mess, and communication was awesome!!! I contacted master auto glass to repair my windshield I asked if they do calibration they said yes, so i agree to replace my windshield for my Toyota Camry 2019. As they finish the work and got my new windshield i got a light on dashboard of a malfunction in the pre-collision system that had been detected pls contact your dealer. I immediately call master auto glass of that error on my dashboard and they said they DID CALIBRATED my windshield so they told me to take it to my dealer and told me to tell them that the sign on my dashboard pop on by it self and they were going to fix it at no cost. So today i took my car to the dealer i told them exactly what master auto glass told me to tell them. The gentleman from the dealer was going to check it out to see what was wrong, when they finish the diagnosis the dealer man said the windshield was replaced and WAS NOT CALIBRATED and to fix that i had to pay 549.99 to get my calibration done so i had no choice but to pay. If i would of known this was going to happen i would have just gotten the ORIGINAL WINDSHIELD from the dealer. Very disappointed with master auto glass i end up paying $1050.00 cash and they billed my insurance as well. My recommendation for everyone If you have a car that needs to be calibrated dont let them do the work i had a bad experience with that the only reason why i gave them 2 stars because they actually come to you and that was very convenient for me since i work 6 days a week hope this helps anyone that needs calibration on your car DONT DO IT!!!!! read more

My windshield has been broken for ~2.5 years now and I've been procrastinating getting it fixed because of how expensive it costs. Finally, I decided to shop around my area (West LA/Culver City) for the best competitive price. I have a 2010 Toyota Corolla that needed a windshield replacement. First, I looked online and found Safelite. Their website quoted me $299 NOT including tax + labor. I called several other places on yelp (National auto Glass, LA Winafix, OScar's Auto glass, etc.) and was not happy with the price they quoted me. Finally, I came across an autobody company based in Marina Del Rey that gave me the contact information to their glass company, Fast Auto Glass. I called immediately and was quoted $145! Amazing! I made an appointment right away on the phone. They arrived at my apartment within the allotted appointment time and Francisco did an amazing job on my car. It took him ~40-45 mins to replace the whole windshield. I was able to do my laundry and clean my apartment while my windshield was getting replaced downstairs in the garage. It was so quick and clean work. I HIGHLY recommend their services. After 2.5 years, I FINALLY have a clean windshield. Francisco left the windshield clean and spotless.
