The repair was labor-heavy -- intake off, crossover pipe, seals, gaskets -- and they did it right. They quoted a fair price, and the final bill came in $400 under when they confirmed my intake didn't need to be replaced. They could have installed a new one and no one (especially me 1,200 miles from home) would have questioned it -- but they chose honesty instead. Felt like I've been scammed. Will not be going back or recommending. Towed my 2013 Mazda 3 here…read moreback in July because it wasn't starting. Was told it had "jumped time" and needed an entire new engine replacement or they could trash it for me. Towed it home and got a second opinion. Absolutely nothing about the engine was showing up with a diagnostic scanner and turns out only needed a sensor replaced. I literally paid less for the sensor part than what Motorworks charged me for a diagnostic fee. Car is running again without an engine replacement. I feel like this was either fraud and or incompetence.
