I always book Dan for my husband's haircuts. He has longer hair most of the year but whenever he needs to get it reshaped or wants to go short again for a bit we go here. Dan is great at what he does, understands the texture of my husband's coarse, wavy hair and always leaves him with a great looking cut. Can't recommend him enough. My last barber shop gave good mid-fade once, loved it and came back 5-6 times and never saw that good fade again. This is my first time here at Master Barbers and I was thoroughly satisfied with Jansen! When I showed him what I wanted (mid fade with textured top), I observed how he trims my sides and as soon as I noticed that he used multiple guard trim lengths, I knew I could stop trying out other barber shops because most of the time barbers would just use 1 length to trim your sides. Stranded in LA due to a flight mishap, I had 2 days to kill. I didn't have time to get a haircut at my usual spot in the SF Bay Area before leaving, so I decided to give Master Barbers a try since it was one of the closest to my hotel near the LAX area, and I couldn't be more pleased. I was able to reserve the earliest appointment online which was with Jackie to deal with my hair that hadn't been cut for almost 3 months. Being used to SF's cool temperature, my head became a sauna down in LA heat! I am always afraid that a new barber/stylist will get my request wrong due to my picky style request, but Jackie nailed it! The conversation throughout her cutting my hair was fun and made time fly fast. This place was simply chill with a neighborhood barbershop feel. I would highly suggest this place for anyone, especially like me that needs a great cut & styling while vacationing. read more

I've been getting my cuts here now for the past three years since my OG barber is in Garden Grove and needed some place much closer. After doing some research, I ended up trying out Master Barbers, which is only 10 min away from me compared to 50. I was initially assigned to a former barber named Sal who did great but then left when the wonderful pandemic hit. In dire need of a cut, I reached out to Marisol, who mentioned she was taking private appointments during the LA County lockdown. Needless to say, I was stoked! Like most people, I was a bit anxious since this was going to be yet another person attempting to cut my hair the way I want it. Little did I know, there was no reason to feel the way I did. Marisol was AWESOME!! Super friendly, chill and a true master of the hair cutting/styling art, my cut actually turned out better than the last barber (sorry, Sal)! For several years, I've gotten my haircuts from Israel, Jackie, and Edgar. I've been supporting Israel since his Master barbers original location across the street. Since moving to the new location where it is now, I've tried out both Jackie and Edgar for haircuts. They all do an amazing job! They all have great manners and can socialize with you during your haircut to provide an excellent overall service. Master barbers is a longer distance drive than going to a local nearby barber shop but I will always make that drive as I know I'll have a good time while ending with a solid haircut.
