I've been seeing this shop that's only like 2 blocks from my place and decided to give it a try. DAN DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! He did a great job. I like a simply and crisp cut as I'm growing my hair out and Dan did exactly that. And I'm always more than appreciative of good razor skills that leave me crispy. I'll be back! There's a reason this place is five stars. I don't personally get my hair cut here but my boyfriend does. It's the only place in LA he'll let touch his beard. They are quick and professional. He's professional and gives the best fades and knows how to cut all types of hair. Haven't walked away disappointed with any of my haircuts by Antonio. Great team that are very service-oriented and I got one of the best haircuts I've gotten in a long time. I was overdue for a haircut and needed to get one as I had an event the following day. I found this shop here on yelp looking for anywhere open on a Saturday evening. I called and made an appointment for 8:30 pm thinking I would be finished with everything else in time to get there by 8:30 but nothing was going right that evening and I didn't leave the house in an Uber until 8:27 or something. I called to alert them that I was running behind and Pedro indicated that he understood that I really needed to get in that night and not to worry. I arrived at 8:50 but their shop was upstairs and I couldn't find how to get upstairs and after walking around the building twice someone pointed out a door sef back a bit and found the stairs thinking they were going to tell me it was too late but Pablo was way cool and got right to work and I got a haircut that looks good and has been so easy to maintain. The only thing is that Pablo mis originally from El Salvador and English is his second language. When he was using is scented gel when cleaning up around my sideburns and when I asked him what scent it was thought at first I didn't like it so had to reassure him all was fine. From the first point of contact I had over the phone with Ana I was instantly sold! Ana answered the phone with a warm welcome, got my brother and I in at the soonest availability and instantly proved over the phone she wore her heart on her sleeve and was passionate about working with her husband (the badass barber! ) Israel! Ana took down our information and even went the extra step of sending me a message with instructions, time and confirmation of our appointments. She even told us we could call in case we needed help prior to our appointment in guiding us to the barbershop in the shopping center. Prior to calling Master Barbers I had tried getting ahold of other local barbershops in my area that had no customer service or interest what so ever. Some that told me to leave a voicemail, or that they were busy with another client and I needed to call back. I'm glad they did because of their mistakes and lack of professionalism I came across Master Barbers. Now both my brother and I (& soon to be all the men in my family and friends) have discovered Israel OUR barber. Immediately walking through the door you're instantly greeted with a warm welcome by the barbers wife, Ana. Ana checked us in by actually greeting us by our names as if we had been friends for years! She offered us cups of water, told us they had phone chargers, and provided wifi and television to watch. We waited as Israel finished the customer before us, that was extremely satisfied with his haircut and clearly had been coming to Israel for some time now. My brother went up first and was greeted by Israel with a warm "Welcome to the barbershop!" We were sold we continued to talk on and on for the next hour and half (the duration of both my brothers and my owns appointment). Israel worked with both of us one on one and made sure that both us and him communicated clearly what we wanted and he explained his vision of it to us. Needless to say we were completely satisfied with both our haircut and the outstanding customer service provided tonight. It is extremely clear to see when someone is passionate about something and it just spills out of Israel. He went over the different techniques he planned on using on us to cut our hair, he explained each tool and product and gave us knowledge on how to effectively use them. The cherry on top was meeting the big little man in charge, Joseph! You may come in and see and awesome, energetic little guy around and that's Joseph, Ana & Israel's son. About 8 months ago I arrived to Los Angeles as a travel RN. I was fortunate to find Jackie at Masters Barbers. Jackie is amazing! She listened to what I wanted and made it happen. She is great at conversing, and an amazing barber. I often feel stress trying to find the right barber, and it is often a process whenever I jump around from city to city. I'm a female with a (newly) short hair cut and wanted to try a barber the neighborhood, as opposed to a women's hair *stylist* since I need to get my hair cut more often now that it's short. I'd never been to a "barber" before and was a little unsure, but I told Israel exactly what I wanted and showed him pictures of examples and he gave me the exact cut I wanted!
