I have been to many Korean bbq locations down in South Florida and other states and I can 100% say that this one is my favorite. All you can eat for $30 including appetizers, great variety of not just meats but vegetables as well!! The hot pot sauce bar (which you can get even if you are just doing BBQ) really seals the deal for me. The service is wonderful as well, Sonia is very kind and attentive. Anything you need, she's there. The location is great, very close to Sawgrass MalI, right off the highway. If you want BOTH it's $35 You basically order your meats & veggies and then cook on your own (soup or grill). They have a 'sauce bar' so if you food doesn't taste good- I guess it's on you?!? The meats & veggies are delivered by a robot that my son absolutely loved. Really only 2 people working the front and ALL tables so service isn't the greatest... You can even order more food, meat & veggies thru your phone to cut down human interaction even more!!! Of course with all that meat, the kids liked the pot stickers & dumplings the best.... Came here on a Sunday afternoon with 4 other friends, and left extremely stuffed and somewhat satisfied. All of us chose the $35 all you can eat K-BBQ + hotpot, Some of the serving sizes are listed on the menu, some aren't, so I would be careful of not ordering too much food - like we did. They do charge $18/lb for over-ordering! For the K-BBQ, we ordered the beef ribs, new york, and pork belly - personally, I only enjoyed the pork belly, the beef was too chewy for me and really hard to eat. For the Hotpot, we ordered way too much food, but managed to stuff ourselves up enough so that we wouldn't have to pay the leftover fee. Some of our favorites were the pork belly, corn, mushrooms, and fried tofu skins. Our least favorites were the fish, mussels, and the napa cabbage (only because they gave us unwashed lettuce). Four complaints we did have was that 1) a piece of corn they gave us was dirty/moldy and looked nasty (see pic) , 2) one of the waitresses was kind of rude to us, and made snarky comments when one of us asked for a soup refill, 3) the robots delivering food was cool/cute at first but got super annoying after the first few times because the music it plays is so loud, and 4) the waitress dumped all our korean bbq meat on the grill at once, didn't let us do it ourselves, and we had to scoop it back out onto a plate because there was too much to cook at once. Overall, this is a decent place for hotpot & k-bbq, it's a bit expensive for what it offers, but the overall atmosphere and quality was nice. Let me start first with price. It was $35 per person (hot pot + Bbq) unlimited. They have a lot of variety. Portions are very generous so it is best not to order everything at once. Go slow, order some , finish and then ask for more because if you waste there is a charge. A robot will come to your table with the order. I think the charge is justified for waste. For dessert, ice cream is included in that price. However, drinks are not included. Place is big, clean and tables are of good size. We got chicken popcorn and fried wontons for appetizers which were very tasty but rest all did not have much flavors. We did not like any meat. But overall experience was great and the amount of food they serve is worth it if you can eat. What used to be so scarcely available is now becoming the norm. Master Ba's is unique in that it is served as an all-you-can-eat style. This was perfect for us after making the trek from Miami up to Sawgrass Mills for a full day of exploring their season-end sales. Master Ba is located in a strip mall nearby where an Outback is also being opened. It does not look like much from the outside, but the inside is very modern with what looks to be a full bar, elegant decor, and of course, tables with BBQs in the middle of them like Gyu-Kaku and Cote. Upon walking in, someone at the front greeted us and asked what we would be having today. All-you-can-eat Hot Pot or BBQ only are $28.99/per person. Combination of both is $35/per person. Since this was our first time, we opted for the combo option of $35/person. For the hot pot, they offer several flavors and levels of spicyness. We opted for the spicy broth which was perfect for us. Although this is all-you-can-eat, be careful and try to not fill up on the very delicious dumpling appetizers! This is not a buffet; they do charge for wasted food by the pound. Everything we had was delicious from beginning to end! It was nearly impossible to not order endless amounts of Crab Wontons, Calamari, and Dumplings! We ordered the Beef Short Rib (delicious), the Lamb (probably the best meat of the bunch we had), Chicken, Lobster Balls, Dumplings, Mini-Sausage, Pork Belly, and Squid as our meats throughout the evening! We took turns alternating between cooking things in our spicy hot pot and on the grill. Throughout the night, waiters will come by your table to adjust the heat on the hot pot and on the grill. Overall, there wasn't a single item we had that wasn't good. Sure, the beef short rib won't fall off the bone like it would at Cote, but that's not what you're here for. You're here to try a little bit of everything and get full, which we did! A cool patty trick of Master Ba's is that your food is brought out by a robot that comes to your table. You will know it's coming because it plays this cutesy music as it's heading to your table. We discovered this place while out searching for something new. It's a new hot pot/bbq restaurant hidden in a strip mall. It would be easy to miss if you don't know it's there. The place is nicely decorated inside. There are larger tables for bigger holdouts available. When we arrived, we were greeted right away by the owner, Tao. She was very friendly. After being sat, our waiter came to the table and took our drink order and brought it to the table. We ordered a bottle of sake. They had a pretty good selection. We decided on trying both the hot pot and the bbq. This is an all you can eat place, so pace yourself so you can try everything. We checked off items on the order slip and waited for our food to arrive. While waiting, the grill was fired up and butter melted in it. Also, the hot plate for the soup was turned on. The soup came in a good sized pot. They have a robot food runner that brought our items to the table. It plays music while it's approaching. That was pretty cool. We tried several items. We got the short ribs. They were a little on the tough side. Then we got the steak. It was perfect! We tried shrimp which were surprisingly pretty big. I grilled some squid. Delicious! There is a wide variety of noodles, vegetables and sauces to choose from. As far as the sauces and silverware go, they had the at a table in the back of the restaurant. The sauces were set up buffet style. I would rather have them brought to the table upon request to avoid people touching the spoons. And I would prefer the silverware/chopsticks be given also. When all done, there was a big storm that moved through so we decided to hang around for more sake. Tao and her husband hung around to talk and they shared their own good bottle of sake with us. The best thing about this place is the service. The servers were very attentive despite it being a hot pot place and ordering through a QR code that a little robot delivers your food. They were really helpful and friendly but the food is less to be desired. The blue crab was previously frozen and had that gritty taste. Most of the meat was bland. The beef slices sucked. The sauce bar was just OK. We got both the bbq and hot pot but if i were you id do the bbq and get the short rib which was my favorite thing to get. Overall there are TONS of other kbbq and hot pot places in south florida that has better quality food. I feel like i paid too much for what this place has to offer. This place was generally great. I enjoyed it and will be back again. The lamb was especially good, but honestly all the items for the BBQ were really well marinated. As for the appetizers, we only got edamame and dumplings. I don't think you can mess up edamame, and the dumplings were great. The area where you go to get your sauces was a little overwhelming, for example, I had no idea which one (or combination) was good for the dumplings, but I think that just comes down to my ignorance - when I buy frozen dumplings at the store, there's a nice little frozen packet inside the bag, and I have no idea what it is. I just use it. I did love that they had garlic over there though. Garlic is one of my major food groups. We went for an early dinner on a Saturday, so it wasn't very full. I thought the robots were really cute, but if the restaurant was at capacity I can see how some would find them annoying - they are pretty loud. If they were going off nonstop it might make conversation difficult. But since we were there in off-peak time, they were just cool to watch. One downside that really caught me off guard was the quantity of the food that came out. The paper menu says quantities, like "2 pieces", "5 pieces", so we basically started out by selecting what we thought was 1 order of maybe 8 different things. The plan was to try a bite, pick our favorites, then order more of those. What actually happened was a crap ton of each item was sent out. We certainly didn't want to pay $18/pound for waste, so we ate it. I didn't think I'd have to specify quantities- it already said quantities! We were so full from things that weren't even our favorites, we didn't have room to re-order the things we enjoyed the most. So I guess I wish they stuck to the amounts that were printed on the menu. After you turn in your first paper menu, you use a QR code to do additional orders. (There's a check out button, which I didn't realize, so I'll did share it here so you don't feel as silly as I did.) We used it to order another beer. If I could give a suggestion to the restaurant, it would be nice to have water in the list. In addition of course to the food offerings, the only beverages you could request were soft drinks and alcohol, so it took me quite a while to flag my server for another water. Took my dad here for Father's Day and we had such a great experience. He has never done Korean bbq before so it was different for him but the waitress explained everything well. I'm not sure if it's because we had to order off of a menu instead of getting up and getting our own food, but it just felt extremely limited in comparison to other Hot Pots. I didn't like that the only dessert was ice cream and no fruit. But it was great that they had appetizers that we could order from the kitchen. We ordered pancakes, sesame balls, and fried dumplings for my dad. Service was good, and there's a little robot that brings our order - that was amusing. One person wanted to do the hot pot and k bbq combo but we were told everyone at the table has to do the same thing regardless of whether they wanted to eat the k bbq. The portion size they give you is based on how many people in your group so be careful how much food you order. We ordered 1 order of egg rolls and they brought out 7 egg rolls in total regardless of who wanted it or not. Same goes for any of the hot pot stuff if you order sliced beef they will bring out enough for 7 people. Not a fan, will have to find another place. This place isn't it! read more

Came to Master Ba's hot pot on a Friday night at 8PM because we were craving AYCE kbbq and this place has both that and hotpot! For $35 you can get combined AYCE kbbq and hotpot while for $29.99 it is just one or the other. The service here was very good, our host lady gave us lists of recommendations of how to get the most bang for our buck. She also came by multiple times to check on us to make sure we had enough food and asking if we wanted to order more. California definitely does not have places like these with such great service and value! There is a little robot that comes by and delivers your food as well while playing a song! The quality and quantity of the food served here is pretty good for the price. It's $35 per person for both hot pot and Korean bbq. It is a pretty good date night or a group dinner. What's a plus is the robot delivering the food to the table. There is also free parking. The veggies all seemed fresh and clean and the quality of the meats were good. What is a really downfall is the customer service. The rest of the reviewers are right. The waitress just gives you a paper tells you to pick but it was our first time and we didn't know at the time the food was served in big portions. Then we were scared to be charged $18 per pound of uneaten food so we all kinda shoved the food even if we didn't like it. Also it felt rushed when she kept on saying are you ready to order. The language barrier didn't help, the rushing was unnecessary not the aggression. Then I think she forced her own tip on the receipt too? Like it was charged already with our order. The second time going with just a friend instead of a group and a different waitress was a better experience. Aside from the unpleasant customer service, I would give this place a chance. Master Ba's is tucked in the Don Pan plaza and is pretty busy on a Friday night. It has two robots going around with loud music to deliver your order. It's AYCE KBBQ and/or hot pot. We enjoyed ourselves there. Not the absolute best, but for something 10 minutes from home, it hits the spot. They don't penalize for extra food left on the table, which takes the pressure off to eat everything on the table. The vegetables are fresh and the meat doesn't have much excess fat on it. This place is great! Hotpot base I had was Tum yum, very tasty! They was a lot of options as far as stuff to add into the hot. The first round you go off a paper and anything after that is through their website. Very efficient and easy to understand. All side dishes are brought by a robot playing loud happy music which is super neat haha there were plenty of sauces you could mix and match with. I really liked a peanut base with a mushroom spicy paste. The only thing is that we ordered a few extra items that didn't make it to the table (however it's an all you can eat so I was super full and it was probably for the best haha) quality and service is great! I was shopping at Sawgrass Mills and decided to try Master Bas restaurant. I had a positive experience Chow One in Pembroke Pines. I thought I would compare the two restaurants. There is a big difference. Master Bas It's a combination of Korean barbecue and hot pot. I decided to choose just the Korean barbecue only. What I didn't like about the restaurant that they didn't bring their traditional Korean side dishes you usually get with the meal. Chow One did give that to me. Also they bring out the meat and put it on the grill.,but they did not give the typical sauces such as pork Bulgogi. There's a table where you make your own sauce and then dip it in. At Chow One they serve it with the traditional sauces on the meat. So I think it's a matter of what kind of style that you want to be served between the two restaurants. Also I ordered the scallion pancake which was devoid of any scallions or anything else inside of it. At Chow One they stuff it with seafood. The meat was fresh but I want the sautéed sauces on it. I prefer a Chow One over this restaurant anytime. Next time I may try the hot pot and compare it to Lemongrass that's across from the Hard Rock Cafe but I already noticed that they didn't have the Buffet tables to choose your veggies seafood or meats like at Lemongrass. I would prefer Chow One restaurant. It comes down to how you want your food served you may want to choose this restaurant instead. read more

I'm so glad to have a hot pot and KBBQ spot near me. I visited the location on Commerical Blvd and loved it. So naturally I gave them a try once they opened. Great service, yummy KBBQ and same cool robot service. This location did offer alot more sauces and condiments to make the ultimate dipping sauce. :) We ordered so many things - fried pork, scallion pancakes, dumplings, short ribs, squid, ramen noodles, fish balls, bok choy, king mushrooms, enoki mushrooms, and the list goes on. All fresh and tasty. A party of 6 and we enjoyed ice cold Sapporo and great service :). We will definitely be back and will probably make this our go-to spot for hot pot and bbq since it's so close and we enjoyed our experience :) read more

Last night, we pulled into this little shopping plaza near Sawgrass Mall and found a charming little Hot Pot spot on accident. The kids were hungry so we stopped for supper. Everyone chose between hot pot, bbq or a combination of both and we were seated immediately. The server was very friendly and she took the time to demonstrate the ordering process and answer all of our stupid questions. Lol. Very simplified menu and ordering from our phones was a breeze. Then these cool little robots promptly brought everything tableside from the kitchen. We had so much fun with the interactive cooking. I can clearly say we all left with our bellies full. The only minus was receiving canned pops instead of refills from a soda fountain. But that was very minor to us. Everyone enjoyed the night besides my daughter thinking the robots were a bit creepy. I have never been to a restaurant like this. The atmosphere was pleasant, the concept was cool but the pressure of the waiter was the bad experience portion... we were attended by a gentleman who come off as rude whenever we asked about the process of ordering or any details about how this worked. We ordered a few more things besides the BBQ order for two so the total came out to be $75 or so... when the tip question came I put nothing because the service was hostile and I felt incredibly uncomfortable with how I was being treated. So when the waiter saw that, he asked me why I wouldn't tip him.... Honestly I don't know if I was supposed to tip as gratuity so I told him I would tip him $11.11 if he really wanted me to. I regret letting him make me so uncomfortable that I gave in and gave him a tip. But I really don't need to tip if I don't feel the need to. I had a party of three. One a child. Aged 11. She immediately said she would be charged as an adult. . At the end, she was very VERY aggressive about the suggested tip. I am all about gratuity, but I honestly have her what I thought the service was. Plus, I realized she was just trying to make the tip higher, by making the meal more expensive in charging my daughter as an adult. It really turned me off. One thing that was disappointed was that not a lot of meat options and not a lot of veggies options compare to other restaurants who also doing bbq I wish there was more options, too much fats on the meats , I try to cook one of the meat i cook awhile, but still red in the middle. My personal opinion the bbq shouldn't really worth 33$ because there was less meat and veggies for bbq , if there is more options then yes I don't see why not. I only give a 3 star the waitress she was very nice and helpful other than that I probably give low. Its all you can eat $29 for adults and $15ish for kids under 9. They bring out a large portion and if you don't finish it , it says its extra$18/pound! . So Once you know you can eat more order more from the all you can eat. At the end there's ice cream too. Its great for a family celebration. Another tip is to mix your sauces into the broth for extra flavor. The robot was a very cool way of delivering your food. Wait for your food to cool off. And then eat it. The establishment is clean and the food is pretty good, but that's not the issue. It's the hospitality. As we walked in they were pretty hasty, this was our first time and their was no joy in their voice. While we were cooking the BBQ, sauce got on the grill with the meats. One of the ladies came over and gave us a major attitude basically scolding us while never explaining to us. The ladies were hovering over us the whole time we were trying to eat.
