We had a wonderful experience with Master Craft. We needed a roof repair after an upstairs addition created a leak in our garage. Within hours of requesting a quote I was contacted by Guillermo who came out and inspected the roof and provided a quote. Once we agreed to the job the communication, professionalism, and quality of work provided by all of the Master Craft employees was above par and we appreciated all of their work. In addition to the roof repair we also had new roofs replaced on two 30 year old Tuff sheds and now they look brand new. Guillermo kept us informed during the entire process, he came out during the work to make sure everything was going according to the plan and then came back out for a final inspection and provided us thorough pictures of all the work and explained all of the details to us. I was getting no responses, even from Yelp's posted bidder, but Mr. Rick Hastie, even when he was on vacation. He responded with 2 hours with a thorough first estimate. He followed up within two days of his return with a site visit. This is a company that has a structured process from quoting and project managing... all the way to the end of the project inspection. More importantly, I can clearly see they are taking care of its employees. The roofer worked four (4) days, at least twelve (12) hours daily, and finished the project on time. Joseph, Alex and the crew go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to communicating, updating and following through on inquiries, questions, advice, preparation, installation, and follow-up. If all contractors had the same level of professionalism as this team, we would never have headaches. Our roof was a shingle roof with some complexity including previously having crown moldings on the eaves, five skylights, and a shallow roof over our front entrance. One of the skylights was improperly installed 20+ years ago, so they had to replace it. Aside from that surprise extra (completely understandable), everything was priced as expected. I highly recommand Master Craft to other people who need a roofing job. Joe is very knowledgeable on roofing materials. I chose MC because it offers Malarkey Asphalt shingle (the best quality I researched) which most roofers don't offer. Since MC is on the certified supplier list, extended manufacturer warranty can be purchased at a small cost. The pricing given by MC was very competitive comparing to other vendors. There was a little delay on the work starting date, but once job was started, communication went well. A year and half after installation, I have no problem of the roof at all. Recently, I remodeled my house and discovered traces of water leakages at the ceiling. Joe/Alex came and investigated the issue on the same day, determined that the leakage was from the old roof. They even came on another day to do a water test to proof the new roof is in good condition. I made a good decision to replace my roof with MC. read more

Early 2023 a tree came down on our house in the bay area. We worked with Lorenzo and Master craft roofing and they did a fantastic job. Our home is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter and their installers treated our home like they were working on a family friend's. After getting multiple quotes for our roof replacement I knew that Master Craft Roofing was definitely the right choice just based on my interaction with Joe. He is *extremely* knowledgeable about his craft and he was incredibly patient with answering our questions. He also was very hands on with the initial consultation to gather as much information as possible about our roof and even fixed a small issue with our roof for us for free during the visit. He and his team did an excellent job and they were highly responsive to all of our requests and feedback, not only during the consultation but throughout the entire project. When we signed the contract they started the next day and the project went quickly (1 day for tear down and 4 days for the new roof installation), which was a big deal for us because we were on a deadline (due to getting a notice of non-renewal from our homeowners insurance unless we replaced our roof). They are really masters at their craft and then some. We have been doing a lot of remodeling at our house so we have dealt with many contractors and their subs in the last year. I had roof skylight tunnel leaks for several years after Home Depot contracted roofer replaced the entire roof (a large roof that HD charged lots of money from me), the roofer used the old parts around the skylight instead of new shims, years later stated to leak. Joe from Master Craft Roofing was told by the warrant service company that Home Deport will not responsible for skylight leak although it was the roofer did shortcut by using old sims. Joe advised me that he can help fix the problem short term by seal the cracks around the tunnel and the the gaps around the shims, it would be a easy job for him, he will do it for me without any charge. I was happily surprised by his offer, have you ever heard any repair service for free, especially when he was not the original roof installer? Joe did this strictly for customer satisfaction, although I am not his customer yet. My old composite roof started leaking in one area. ++Had it evaluated by Nick who gave a good analysis and estimate for replacing the entire roof with TPO. Had another estimate done by another company and their solution was to replace with the same material and at a higher cost. There didn't seem like any easy solution to fix the leak than to repair the entire roof. I also did a Tesla roof estimate and it came out to about $100k !! And obviously that's a bit much. ++Speaking with Nick and Lorenzo the project supervisor was all a pleasant experience and there was a group text chat which was convenient to communicate at any time. ++The whole work outcome was decent and professional. I now have a completely new white roof with TPO which they say will last 50 years and guaranteed forever apparently. these are some negative things to be careful about : -As part of the analysis they dis not inspect the inside of the house to check that it was a vaulted ceiling. Because of this the workers ended up screwing 4 nails thru the whole roof which were visible inside the house. They fixed the problem by replacing the nails but it has left holes which they filled. It needs a little touch up painting which they have left for me to do. -2nd...the work took much longer than the originally estimated 3 days. It took about 2 calendar weeks for the entire work to be done. -3rd...they didn't inform me or warn me that there would be crap falling thru the cracks every single day they were on the roof. I could've covered areas and be prepared. Again probably a result of not looking inside the house to see it was vaulted ceilings. -4th...there was stuff left out in the driveway including nails strewn around. I did my best to clean all the nails but despite that ended up nailing a car tire when pulling in out of the garage and driveway. -5th...they also needed power supply from the house for their speed gun etc. they could've informed me so I could tell them which outlet to use. Instead they just helped themselves to some outlet outside the house without caring whether it's blow the circuit due to over drawn wattage. This is a great company to have your work done. Just Please be careful about these above things when you engage with them. Hopefully it helps you. read more

This review is long past due but Joseph had installed a brand new roof for my family and a new gutter system. We were moving from one house to another and we needed the roof done on the new home in a timely manner. We have a 4200 sq foot home and Joe and his crew were able to complete the work in 3 days. Any issue that came up, Joe addressed it immediately and he worked with us in resolving our problems. A year later, anytime we have any questions about anything that might impact our roof ie solar panel recommendation, patch up chimney work that might not have to do with the work he has done for us; we still call Joseph for advice because we trust his judgment and recommendation. There was a serious wind event the other day and damaged several homes in my neighborhood including mine so I started calling roofers but most didn't answer or just said they were booked solid. I had my underlayment replaced back in May this year and MCR was great! They kept the area clean and took the time to make sure they pick up all the nails that fell from the roof. I do feel like my roof is now sealed and that no more leaks will happen. The seal that they put on the trim wasn't enough as it cracked within a month but I was able to contact Joseph and he sent someone out to get it resealed and it's holding up well! His wife who answers the main number is also very responsive and on top of things! She was able to reach Joseph and have him call me back when I had trouble reaching him. I've done around 10 large projects hiring 10 companies/contractors, not mentioning small projects. Joseph, Lorrenzo and their team are among the top 3. I would give them 6 stars if I could. About three months ago I needed to replace my entire roof and got around 5-6 estimates. Lorrenzo was the manager who gave me an estimate. He's very friendly and patient to all my questions. Although their estimate is not the lowest but reasonable, my past experience told me not to choose the cheapest but the best review and the way they treat their customers. By the way I chose the cheapest company a few years ago for a roof work and regretted. It turns out I made a right choice this time. They have a large team and finished my project with top tier speed and quality. As you might already know, a lot of contractors, managers showed up only for estimates and your checks, or after they got paid, they will never really get back to you when you need them afterwords, even if they promised. Joseph and Lorrenzo are nothing like that. They came back to a few times to inspect their job themselves even after the city inspection passed, provided small fix and tweaks, and my extra request even two months later!
