After giving my experience considerable thought. I would not recommend this business. I was misled. The engraving on an 18 K white gold ring did not show. It could show if the correct materials were used by the business does not carry them. So, I was sold a useless engraving process. The engraving inside the ring can't be seen. The man became agitated when I told him. He told me a pair of "younger eyes" could see it. think not. I tested that. Just because I wear glasses to read does not make me elderly. The ring was a memorial ring and special to me. A dead loved on deserves to be remembered and I wanted her near me. I would have demanded my money back had I not been in tears over the horrid work. If the owner was clever, he could have sold me a ring where the engraving would show quite easily. But instead, he scammed me. I was not told the engraving would not show. I purchased a designer engagement ring setting online and wanted a jeweler to set it with a diamond that I already owned. I did not want to mail my diamond to the ring designer because it I was worried it would get lost, so I brought it to Master Fix Jewelers to be set. David made me feel comfortable by allowing me to watch him set the diamond. This is rare; most jewelers will not allow customers to watch them work. Also, while others jewelers take a few days to complete the work, David set the diamond right away and I was able to enjoy my new ring that day. I also really appreciated that he showed me the GIA number on my diamond using his high quality loupe. David added white gold to the ring's prongs to elongate them because the setting I brought in was not the right size for my diamond. He took the time to carefully set the diamond as straight as possible from all angles. I am very picky when it comes to details on my ring, and after a few small adjustments I was 100% satisfied with the end result. My ring looks exactly how I envisioned it would. These guys did a pretty good job at fixing my watch. I am glad they didn't charge me like $40 bucks or more. They only charged $13 for a new battery on my watch. In addition they offered a 10% off to customers who check in to yelp and leave a review. In fact customers done even need to leave a yelp review they just need to claim the reward on the app. Furthermore the man and his wife who work the stand are pretty generous and customer oriented. I asked about yelp discounts a bit after the printed a receipt so he took the time to print a new order with the applied discount. Although I have never purchased a watch or any other accessory at this location, I feel strongly about their inventory. They have different leather straps for watches as well as a cleaning service that I did not take advantage of during my transaction. This guy is a totally scam artist. Horrible customer service and very aggressive. My mom took her watch there to change her battery. He charged her 35.00 - which was way over priced. He told her that was the price because of the brand of the watch. Later when my mom went home she realized he broke the screw to her watch. He had wrapped her watch in a bag so she didn't realize it was damaged. She went back to him and not only was he not taking responsibility he was trying to charge her an extra $75.00 to fix what he broke. When I told him I was going to write a yelp review - he started yelling at me, holding my moms watch back and telling me to give him my phone number and address because he was going to sue me for putting a yelp review. He was practically threatening me. When I told him I was going to call the cops he gave me back my moms watch. I will never go back to this guy! Lucky I found a watch store in Los Gatos - they are great. They fixed my watch for free and if you need a battery its only $10.00 - doesn't matter what kind of watch it is. How do I even start?!?!?!! My now fiance wanted to surprise me completely so he got a size 7 ring!!! I loved it, but obviously didn't fit. We had researched several places to get it resized and were nervous to have someone send it off and not see if for 10 days. After a couple of months of it just sitting in my drawer, we decided to just do it. We did our research and heavily relied on Yelp reviews to find a good place. So they fit my first category; cheap! I messaged David via Yelp and true to his response rate, was responded to in one hour. So they were on a good start to fitting my second need; fast! The true test would be when I actually got to Master Fix as it took me a week to come in after contacting David. I came in after 5 pm on a Friday. I showed up and David was hard at work cleaning his stock. I told him I was the one who messaged him about the MK battery and asked how long it would be. David squinted at me for a second then stated he could do it right away. And that he did. I was there for less than 5 minutes including payment. He also cleaned my band! I needed to resize a delicate platinum engagement ring with petite pave diamonds on the band and I get so nervous about handing it over to anybody because it means so much to me. I did my research and realized platinum is more difficult to work with so I wanted to find the best! I am so thankful to find David and Xuan and their family. They are honest and professional and because of how delicate the material is they insisted that I stay and watch and make sure the ring fit perfectly before finishing which I absolutely appreciated. My engagement ring has been one size too large for the last couple of months and I have been searching for a reputable & trustworthy place to resize it that is able to do the work same day. My ring has a platinum band and they did an amazing job cutting off a piece of the band and melted/welded the piece he cut off back into my ring. You would not be able to tell that the ring had been resized at all. He finished it off by polishing and cleaning my ring and everything looked brand new again. They were super friendly and accommodating. He was willing to take out an industrial grade magnifying glass to show me to serial code on my diamond before and after the sizing. I was able to watch him work on the ring the entire time and it only took 30 minutes. The best part about being able to watch him work on the ring is that he allowed me to try it on halfway through the resizing to make sure it was the absolute perfect fit. This couple of master jewelers resized my engagement ring and I'm in love with it all over again! I found them on yelp and also had a referral from a friend, so I decided to check them out while I was at Valleyfair. I had previously gotten my ring resized already by the jewelers who custom made my ring, but it was still too big. The original jeweler also mentioned that resizing the ring multiple times would compromise the integrity of my ring, which is why I waited 6 months to come to master fix jewelers. I arrived at the kiosk and although I wasn't greeted right away, I could tell they were busy with a couple other customers who were getting their watch fixed. Looked like they had a lot of business/customers, which was a good thing. When it was my turn, I asked the owner how much it would be to resize it, and whether it would affect my ring in any way. The owner quoted me a flat rate of $55, and he said it wouldn't be a problem to resize at all. I asked him how long it would take, and he said 1 hr, and we were welcome to stand and watch him, or even record video. My fiance was a bit skeptical about the diamond, so we stayed at the kiosk the whole time. Before he began, the owner walked me through exactly what he was going to do (i.e. cut the ring, melt the piece back so that the thickness would not be compromised), and even recommended a size for my finger. The entire process took only 40 mins and he even took breaks to work on the other watches that came before me. Before he finished and polished the ring, he asked me to try it on to make sure it fit properly. He did such a great job compared to the last jeweler, whom I had a lot of issues with. To top it off, he helped me fix one of the diamonds in the band that looked a little slanted, and also helped me with a small piece of cloth fiber that was stuck underneath the prong of the diamond without charge.
