Came here a few times recently to take advantage of their (cough everlasting forever cough) "50% off" deal. (ONLY items marked off are included on the 50% off. Those unmarked is as listed) Came here once soon after work on a Wednesday evening, and once on a Sunday evening. Both had fairly easy time to get a table for us to seat. First time we had a party of 3. Second time we had a party of 5. With their 50% off deal, tofu soup's are $9.99. Entree's like LA Galbi, Beef/Chicken Bulgolgi, and Spicy Pork are around $13.99-$14.99. But if you do a combo, they're around $15.99-$16.99. We're unsure if it was because the server/kitchen messed up my friend's order of a PLAIN (no spice) intestine tofu soup (and gave her one with spice) and gave her a larger one as replacement, or maybe if you don't order the combo, it's slightly larger. But even with the slightly smaller tofu soup you get in the combo, you get a considerable pile of meat (especially if its the spicy pork vs LA galbi). Its a good deal to get the combo if you want to eat that much food (or share) The INTESTINE TOFU SOUP is tasty if you like intestine. Includes beef intestines and tripe. 2nd time, I decided to get the NAE JANG TANG which includes beef intestine and tripe in ox bone broth. Wanted to try something different. Still tasty. Wish they gave more green onions though. Service is good every time we're here. A little mishaps but its ok. They give you a yakult drink at the end for free.
The restaurant atmosphere is really good. It's a modern newly built restaurant that is very clean. The staff are really really friendly and most importantly the food is amazing. It's so tasty and reasonable!! This is definitely the best Korean restaurant in the world even better than the Korean restaurants in Korea.
My hubby was sick and wanted soup so I thought Pork and Kimchi Soup would warm him up. I ordered it very mild so it wouldn't hurt his throat. Master Kim's takes take out to whole new level. You never need to worry about the soup being spilled out into the bag and dripping onto your floor. I've had that happen so many times with my deliveries. The soup is sealed in a square container like the tofu containers you get with the water in them. You would have to cut the plastic for it to leak. The soup was nice and hot and was mild as I requested. Absolutely delicious. The steamed rice was sealed the same way. We also ordered the LA Galbi which was yummy. The bon chon was also very good and in its own container with four compartments and a tight lid. It shows that they care about their to go customers as much as their eat in ones. Master Kim's is definitely going on our go to list.
My korean friend said: if you see the older generation at a korean spot, you know its legit. Food: I wanted some kbbq tofu soup and this was like five minutes from my old place. We got the Budae Jjigae Hot Pot and Bo Ssam. Honestly this is a couple week since i been there but i just remember everything being amazing. The korean american soup with the cheese was an expereince. My friend said back during the korean war, american soldiers and korean soldiers have their items. They put it in a soup form and thats how they got Budae Jjigae. The Bo Ssam was awesome, the boiled pork belly was different. I never had it cooked before like that and it was amazing. service: The resturant was fairly busy. No complaints here. Ambiance: Place felt modern and mom and pop shop at the same time. Even though this place is a chain. I like this spot and ill def go back here again.
Came in the evening a little bit before the prime dinner time and we got seated right away. It got so busy later on! The restaurant is offering a 50% promotion, which is why we came to try out the place. However, we're not sure how long the promotion is going to last. The prices of the menu is slightly higher than normal prices to justify the 50% off promotion. We ended up ordering the following things: Small bossam - 5/5. Was perfect with the right toppings. Galbi tofu soup with LA galbi - 5/5. LA galbi was charcoaled very nicely. Tofu soup was cooked perfectly but the portion was smaller probably due to the tofu soup combo. Galbitang - 5/5. This was cooked perfectly with date. The banchan was alright so I'm giving it a 4 stars. The kimchi wasn't super great but the sweet potatoes and fish cake tasted good. At the end of the meal, they give us Yakult as dessert, which was a nice touch.
I really enjoyed this place! Don't let "tofu" in the name scare you away, there is a lot more on the menu than tofu. I went with 3 of my friends. We each got our own soup and split the galbi jjim. All of it was excellent - especially now that it's getting chilly! Right now, the menu is 50% off so we all ended up eating for like 25 bucks each. You can't beat that price these days. I will be back to this place! Be sure to give it a shot while their sale is going on!
Good but didn't really stand out, however their service was really good and interior was comfortably decorated and bright. The bonchon was ok, worker was able to accommodate our big stroller and came by fairly frequently to check up on us. I ordered sulang tang soup. My husband ordered their combo and the kalbi was good but small portion. The tofu soup that comes in the combo is also a smaller portion. This was in quite a bit ago though when they first opened. 11/2024: Returned recently to find that everything is 50% off. However the prices were increased before the discount. The bonchon was good. I ordered sulang tang soup again and this time I didn't get a side of the salt. Only have table salt the soup tasted watered down and was almost translucent, barely milky. I was so disappointed and my purple rice was mainly white rice and cooked with too much water. My rice was the only one with mixed white rice, the joke was my bowl was the first to be scooped after being used for the white rice. My sister in law got cold noodles and it came in liquid with a pile of ice. My husbands tofu soup barely came hot whereas my mother in laws soup was piping hot. Don't be misguided by their 50% off, the quality is down and prices were raised before the discount. They shrunk their menu as well, not as much choices left now.
Definitely satisfied my craving for authentic Korean food! We ordered the dumplings, assorted tofu soup, and bibimbap. Banchan was unlimited and we got little yogurt drinks at the end of our meal. So refreshing! Price was definitely worth it, absolutely coming back here again!
Looking for a delicious Korean restaurant near Durango? Master Kim's Tofu House is the place! Menu is quite diversified from tofu soups to assorted meat platters to bibimbaps. I was able to order the combo which you can choose from an assorted selection of meat and either a cold noodle soup or tofu soup. I opted in the tofu soup with spicy pork. The variety of side dishes were all fresh and complimented with the meal. Option to have purple rice is already exciting enough and was so delicious. The tofu soup was flavorful, and seasoned perfectly. The spicy pork was marinated nicely and the portion size was good enough for one person. The manager was welcoming and checked upon our table to ensure that I am enjoying my meal there Currently the whole menu is 50% and it doesn't look like it will stay for that long so try them out for a good value!!
Have eaten here during lunch a few times now. Clean, well decorated with fast friendly service. Wish we had tried this place sooner. The soups are delicious, (if you are interested in a new and unique dish, try the Intestine tofu soup.) The bibimbap stone pot was great with the crispy rice on the bottom of the bowl. The banchan side dishes are plentiful. Refilled upon request.
Good food with great service! I use to come here all the time. It was one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. I'm on a low carb diet so the tofu soup and LA galbi combo was perfect for me. The service is good and the food was good. My favorite part was this place use to be 50% off for a few months that deal was very hard to best and you got s great meal for the money. I came here recently and they changed the deal to 30% off. I will say even with 30% off I feel the meal is too pricey for what you get. Overall, I think this is a great place to go if you want Korean tofu soup and you don't want to drive to China Town. The food is good and the service is excellent, but I think I won't be coming back because it's just too much money for what you get in my opinion.
We walked in to this modern and spacious restaurant. Greeted by a server to our table. Love the Ban Chan! Had to ask for seconds and they graciously brought us a second round. I had Stone Pot Bibimbap. It's delicious and yet Not heavily seasoned. It's just right for my taste. My son ordered chicken Bulgogi combo with cold noodles. Delicious Bulgogi as usual. We were offered a small delicious drink at the end which was pleasantly unexpected. This was our second time and we walked out satisfied, happy as usual. At the same time we were planning our next return! Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.
Having lived in Korea their Tofu soups are on point. The intestine tofu soup also had some tripe. Add an egg and enjoy!!! The beat deal is the combo at one of the for entrees for bets value. The beef bulgogi had a good flavor and was quality cut not too fatty. Service was great and staff were friendly and attentive. Overall excellent food and experience.

My friends and I were immediately drawn in by their amazing 50% off deal menu--and we were not disappointed. Most of us ordered the Galbi combo with purple rice, which turned out to be a great choice. I had the seafood tofu soup, and my friends opted for the pork and kimchi soup. Both were flavorful and comforting, but the real standout was the galbi--it was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection with just the right amount of chew. The service was also a highlight. The staff were attentive and friendly, consistently checking in on us. Everything came out quickly, and we felt really well taken care of throughout the meal. One of the sweetest touches came at the end: they gave us complimentary Yakult drinks when we paid our check. It was such a refreshing treat to end on, and a nice gesture that made the experience even more memorable! read more
Didn't know Master Kim had a Tofu House, so of course we had to stop in, especially since there was a sign outside of the restaurant for 30% off menu items. They share the same parking lot as the BBQ, so it can get very packed. Since we stopped in around 1pm, parking wasn't an issue. Very clean setting, plenty of seating options. Tables for larger parties, bar seating and booth seating along the wall. Even though there was only one server, she was very timely and the service was great. The food felt very homey. I ordered the Yukgaejang extra spicy, but it was still mild. The broth was standard, wasn't the best or worst I've tried. The toppings were generous. What I really enjoyed most was the banchan. It was freshly prepared and wasn't overly sweet. For the food portion, taste and price, I'm glad it was 30% off. Happy we were able to try this place out, but not sure if we would come back at full price. read more

Good choice. Weren't craving for any specific food. Went in and to my surprise the place was spacious and clean with good ample lighting. We got seated right away and got our order quick. Ordered Budea Jjigae Hotpot (kimchi,spam, sausage, bacon, American cheese,vegetable, ramen wirh egg on the side) if you are not a heavy eater it can actually serve 4 person. They have good amount of meat and ramen on it and spiciness is tolerable. We got the combo: beef tofu soup and the bulgogi for my young child it was a good serving size we are able to share it. I always love master kims bulgogi taste. Our order came with rice and a free milky like drink (see picture) We were so full we had 2 containers for to-go. Will definitely come back to try other flavors. read more

My bf & I decided to try this place after a night out at Durango casino! It's open till 2 am Mon-Sat and we came around 1 am on a Saturday. There were a couple groups inside but it was not busy at all. The waitress told us they were having a happy hour special (50% off!!) on all drinks under $40 so we ordered a bottle of the strawberry nigori (delicious btw!). Before we ordered, the waitress also brought little side dishes to snack on (similar to what you get at korean bbq). I ordered the medium spicy beef tofu soup & my bf got the combo order of medium spicy seafood tofu soup & galbi. It comes with a raw egg (to crack into the soup) & and fried fish on the side. OMG the beef tofu soup was delicious!! It was the perfect amount of spice and sooo tasty. It was EXACTLY what I was expecting flavor-wise & I was not disappointed! My bf also really enjoyed the seafood tofu soup & said it "tasted like the sea" lol. I had a bite of the galbi & WOW so good! It was slightly sweet & so tender. Big fan! *The reason for the 4 stars was because, when we came back for round 2 a couple days later, we also ordered the spicy beef tartare to try it out. It definitely wasn't what I was expecting. It was too sweet, the beef came out in strips (instead of diced), and the veggies were basically frozen. Nothing about it was spicy or flavorful. Not a pleasant appetizer & will not order again. At the end of the meal, we were given a yogurt drink (similar to Yakult), which was a nice touch! Overall, we'll definitely be back again for that soup & galbi! read more
Master Kim has opened another hot spot and this time its a Tofu house. The wife and I popped in with some friends and gave them a try. We started with the dumplings 5/5, fried calamari 3/5 and some Jinro Chamisul soju and a tall Sapporo. For the meal we ordered the bulgogi 4/5, medium tofu soup combo with seafood 5/5, medium tofu soup combo with galbi 4/5 and purple rice 5/5. Pleasant fast service and nice decor/ambiance. We would come back and try the seafood tofu soup, dumplings and some other menu items. Hoefully they have a full bar now to try some other drinks with dinner. With the bill they brought out a Korean. Rand of yakult. read more
Really enjoyed the Korean food here! Interior has a sleek, modern design with dim lighting. Side dishes include fish cake, radish kimchi, pickled radish, broccoli, kimchi, and beansprout. Galbi Tang 10/10 - hot, clear, and flavorful soup - beef is tender - glass noodles perfectly chewy Gamja Tang - not rating as I only had a small bite, but the meat falls off the bone! Bossam 8.5/10 - love the freshness of the kimchi and chives - also served with tofu - pork itself was bland but the sauce and sides help Service was quick and attentive to us! read more

Excellent! Beautiful restaurant, great service and yummy soon tofu soup. Picked up a beef tofu soup and bulgogi combo for mom, pork version (menu says pork kimchi tofu soup but requested no kimchi) for dad and a mixed one for myself. Parents really enjoyed their food, as did I. So much so that I ate too much. But still didn't finish it. Portions are very generous. One nitpicky detail was that the radish kimchi was not aged enough - the radish flavor dominated. What makes Master Kim's tofu soup so special and so damn good aside from the broth is that the beef in the soup is the best quality I've ever had in a tofu soup. Nice big chunks of flavorful tender beef. Mom remarked about it and dad loved the quality and quantity of the pork in his soup. Mine had lots of tasty seafood too - mussels, clams, oysters and a couple of plump shrimp (properly cleaned too). Conveniently located just off the 215 and Durango. It's in the same shopping mall as the Master Kim BBQ (which had a line outside at 11:30AM!), right across the parking lot. Picked up a takeout menu and mom's already picked out 3 other dishes she wants to try. read more
I'm a big fan of the Master Kim's locations and they continue to score wins with me... This first visit was with a girl friend for lunch and we both hit up their 2 dish combo. 1) Beef Tofu Soup - I went medium spicy and it was savory and tasty. 2) Beef Bulgogi & La Galbi (Marinated Short Ribs) - She ordered the La Galbi and I went with the bulgogi so we could sample both. Both meat cuts were delicious and cooked to a perfect medium to savor the flavor. The industrial contemporary decor makes for a nice and clean dining vibe. Dark woods, brick walls and cool bulb lighting is looking so fresh and so clean clean. We had multiple servers keeping the drinks fresh and checking on us. The service was so on point. Overall, this is a great tofu house option on the west side of town. I'll be back to check out the cold noodles with my next 2 dish combo. Enjoy! read more
Great food, good service and overall a nice meal. Four of us enjoyed 3 combo. So, if you have not had Korean food before, you are in for a treat. Most Korean restaurants will serve you with small dishes of Kim chi, sliced fish cake, spicy radish, plain radish and some kind of veggie. (These are refillable) the small fried fish is a one time deal. Here at Master Kim's they have many combo options with spicy noodles or cold noodles or tofu pot and rice along with your choice of proteins. It is quite a lot of food. You can choose your spice level on your tofu pot as well as the base, (beef, seafood, chicken, pork) Four diners, we did family style and ordered 3 combos. Water was refilled often, wait staff checked in on us many times. Would definitely go back as there are lots of combos to try and some rice dishes. read more

Super aesthetically pleasing Korean restaurant! HAHA I believe we went during their soft opening and they let us know that the grand opening will be February 1st, 2024 (can't believe it's already 2024). One of my FAVORITE Korean dishes is Sooyook; boiled meats. Although the description doesn't sound as attractive it's honestly so delicious! If you've been following my reviews you know, I am not a fan of Pork so BEEF SOOYOOK is my absolute favorite. Seldom, you find this dish at an affordable price... it's a dish that's requires a bit of labor so the prices are kind of high but not at Master Kim's! A whole combination plate was VERY reasonable and it was pure perfection! I was a little sad they didn't serve alcohol yet; you need to have it with soju... HAHAHA (very personal opinion here). I'm already thinking about going back to get more... Galbijjim also another delectable dish in Korean cuisine. Again, many places will price this at a higher ticket because it takes time for the dish to be done. Very reasonably priced and delicious! The meat was very tender the balance between the sweet and salty was near perfection; even the vegetables were cooked perfectly my friends and I were fighting for the pumpkin! HIGHLY recommend adding the cheese for the show and extra oomf to your dish - certainly a family style, sharable sized dish. Not pictured but the side spicy chewy noodles was the perfect palate cleanser for me hahaha of course once again, in my opinion. It's a bit on the spicy side so I'm warning you if you can't handle spice... I'd skip or ask for more cabbages. Lastly, the raw beef bibimbap. Don't fret, their meat quality is top notch and the Korean raw beef tartare is delightful. The beef tartare bibimbap had somewhat of a refreshing sense along the other dishes at the table. Like I've mentioned in the beginning of the review, they haven't had their grand opening so some things might be different than what I have posted! I can't wait to go back and try their soft tofu soups, they all sounded amazing and have an option to make it a combo meal. read more

It wasn't as tasty as other places I've tried. * Sulung Tang with purple rice. My husband liked it, but he's not too picky about flavor. * Bo Sam in a small size. The pork belly was thick and tender. Service was really slow on a Wednesday night. We waited 14 minutes for our side dishes, even though there were plenty of staff. It was kind of disappointing. You can pick your spice level and add extras like meat or seafood. The soup comes out steaming hot and is super filling, especially with the tasty banchan on the side. New, clean and spacious! They play kpop music in the background. Service was amazing. When we needed more time, he said just raise your hand when you need something. The banchan came with a fish. We got assorted tofu soup, cold noodles and kalbi. All of it was delicious. We were very comfortable and well taken care of. 10/10 would come back again!!! read more

Definitely one of my favorite soondubu place in vegas. I've been here a few times already; and I usually get their combo meal - pork & kimchi/galbi tofu soup with a plate of LA galbis and purple rice. The quality of the food and price is definitely worth the $$, except for the galbijjim - I'd skip that. At the end of the meal, they give you the korean Yakult probiotic drink, which definitely helps with my bowel movement every time (not in a negative way). There's a new tofu restaurant in town, backed by Master Kim. Intrigued by their menu, I decided to give it a try, especially with the prices increasing two or three times in just two months. We ordered the Kalbi Tofu, fried squid (or squid tempura), and Steamed pork belly (bossam) in a medium size. The portions were generous unlike my other friends mentioned, especially for someone who cant eat a lot like me. We requested the Kalbi tofu to be slightly spicier than their spicy level, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Priced at $13.99 (as of March 2024, likely $15 now), the dish came with side dishes and a small grilled fish and everything was delicious, not too salty, not too sweet. The bossam was decent in terms of portion size, but I found the scent of basil off-putting. Even though basil was included in the steaming process, the aroma of pork prevailed, which felt unusual for a Korean dish like bossam. This aspect detracted from my enjoyment. Service was satisfactory, though there was room for improvement. The Korean woman serving us seemed a bit inexperienced, taking a while to bring water and just seemed a bit off for some reason. Overall, the experience was okay, with the standout being the tofu soup, which was quite good. However, a friend's visit to the Spring Mountain location didn't fare as well; he found the tofu soup cold and tasting of MSG, though I personally found it really delicious. read more

I came here for a late lunch after the gym and running an errand at IKEA nearby and I was starving! I actually came in here to eat tofu soup soondubu but discovered they had cold noodles (Naengmyeon) which are difficult to find good ones. and since it's still 100F in Vegas, I went for the cold noodles and they were really good! I added the galbi for the combo and the meat was really nice quality too. I got a good amount of banchan, 6 kinds, and they were all tasty. They gave me a yakult at the end of the meal which was nice! The server Bayu was really laid back and friendly and told me the noodles are made in house with a machine. Which explains why they have the chew of good noodles. I'll be back next time to try the soondubu! And a bunch of other Korean foods on the menu. read more

Happy to find another gem in Vegas! My husband and I love Master Kim Korean BBQ, so of course we'd want to try their tofu house. It was a cold day, and hot stone tofu bowls were perfect to warm the soul. Upon walking in, the lighting is soft, staff are friendly, and the place is clean. We seated ourselves at a comfortable and spacious booth and ordered a galbi tofu soup and cold noodle with LA galbi combo. First of all, of all the tofu places we've been to, never have we seen a galbi tofu soup option. Already, we were intrigued. And when we tasted it, we don't know why every tofu place doesn't do it. It was delicious! Giant chunks of galbi swimming in rich, hot tofu soup. A masterpiece. The cold noodles were refreshing and filling. They give you a huge portion. The LA galbi was sizzling and tasty with many pieces of good galbi. We also got to choose purple rice or regular rice with the tofu soup. Of course we chose purple, which only turns that color because of the other grains that stain the rest of the regular rice. It was nice and fluffy and chewy and accompanied the tofu soup well. Everything was mouthwateringly good. Even the banchans (small side dishes) were good. The kimchi was good quality kimchi. And they are one of the rare Korean restaurants that still serve a free fried fish as apart of their banchan. I haven't seen that in awhile. We would definitely highly recommend and would come back. read more
