OMG!!! This is the Asian fusion cuisine you've been looking for. Go. Just go. The inside, frankly, looks somewhat shabby. Nothing flashy. Go to the screen and order your food. Simple as that. It will arrive at your table and the prepare to send your tastebuds to Disneyland. We prefer 3 times as much as we could eat, simply to sample the fare. Each and every item was so tasty, and seemed like the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. The stewed beef noodles soup was probably top of my list, not that it was easy to decide. The beef pieces literally melted in your mouth with a spicy hot zesty broth. No words will truly describe how amazing the food is here. Just do yourself a favor and go experience it for yourself. I can't believe food this good is so affordable! I went with a friend from out of town, I had pork mustard noodles and he had the wonton noodle soup. Both were fantastic, the ingredients taste fresh and the noodles are springy! We shared a plate of the pork buns, which are extra good with the vinegar soy sauce they have. The location is easy to get to and street parking was available, and the space is airy with big tables. I want to come back with my family or a group of friends and try some of the other noodle dishes soon! This is going to be a great dinner place to go in summer before heading to the Bagdad for a movie. read more

Drab, monochromatic restaurant with minimal decor and absentee skeleton staff. Order from the self service computer screen, pay before you receive food or service. Tip option? For what? I haven't even sat down yet. Sit down at table, realize you have to get up to serve yourself water, serve yourself tea. Sometimes there are bowls and spoons on the table, sometimes not. Food is delivered by skeleton staff. Confirm an order number, food is dropped off. Realize that there are no sauces on table. Stand up, again, to find 'to go' sauce containers at front counter. Food is hot, decent, but the extensive use of salt and MSG buries any subtlety in flavor. Dumplings are obviously machine manufactured, most likely resuscitated from a previously frozen state. Acceptable. Noodles are bland, come in what appears to be simple box chicken stock with miniature slivers of ginger and green onion. Disappointing. Sauteed greens have appropriate, subtle flavoring and sauce, but again, immersed in salt and MSG. Disappointing. Want to order more? Want a hot or cold drink? A dessert? No staff. Go back to stupid computer screen to repeat order process. This place stinks. Feels more like it was designed for delivery and take out, with a concession acknowledgement that you can eat in-house. But it's so non-frills that I'd prefer to avoid the place altogether. Ick. read more

The youtiao aka fried dough stick aka fried dough bar is perfection here. It's crunchy and crispy on the outside and chewy and savory on the inside. It'd be perfect for dunking in congee or soy milk. I also enjoyed the clear noodles. They are slippery and have a firm texture. They are quite messy and sling sauce everywhere, so I would not recommend wearing a white shirt while eating these. I also ordered the pan-fried buns. The pictures looked like sheng jian bao, but they aren't. The bun is a fluffy and made from rice flour. It's fine, just not what I was looking for. The restaurant was clean and the service was fast and attentive. You order yourself from a tablet so make sure to review the menu before you get here. One of my fave Chinese restaurants in the city!! Their pork folder (pork burger) is the best! It is juicy, flavorful, and packed with meat! The buns are perfectly crispy. The beef noodle soup is one of the best I've had. The beef is incredibly tender and the soup is addicting. Their jian bing is delicious, packed with flavor and meat. Service is nice and attentive. This place was a hit for me! The dumplings and noodles are delicious, prices are very good, and the portions were unexpectedly generous. This store is manned by a self service kiosk that's a bit laggy but otherwise very convenient. There was still a waiter present when I visited who was very warm and friendly; he made the experience a lot more charming and memorable. The place didn't have many customers when I went, but I found it relaxing. I hope I can take my friends here soon :-) read more

I have no idea how this place has 4.5 stars. We got the pork buns, pork dumplings, rice with beef and the noodle soup with beef. Everything tasted awful, as if they used old broth that had gone bad and instead of throwing it out they used it. I feel like we stepped into a time warp into awful nasty food. read more

We used to drive across town to their Division street location so we were thrilled when Master Kong's opened a second location within a mile of us. Even better, the new location is bigger & has a fun, party-like atmosphere. You order at a computer near the entrance, have a seat, and a server brings the food to your table. We had beers while we waited for our food, which came pretty quickly. The dishes are every bit as good as at the old location. We ordered jian bing with meat & it was a heartier dish than plain jian bing. We had a group so we ordered 2 congees: preserved egg & chicken. Both were delicious! We also had fried dumplings, boiled dumplings, noodle soup and a veg. Satisfying & fun to share. I'm soo disappointed that their baozi (meat buns) are not hand made but rather the same as frozen ones I've gotten before from Asian supermarkets! I'm from northern China and grew up eating a lot of meatbuns. The pan fried buns I got today were definitely the kind that mass produced and frozen, NOT hand made in store. The other items I ordered were decent - the preserved egg congee, youtiao (fried dough bar). The braised pork belly was good though too salty. But I am really quite disappointed about their buns (if you want those, you can just get a large bag frozen from ranch 99 supermarket for only a few dollars‍). read more
