My 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe was involved in an accident on March 8, 2014. My insurance company Geico recommended Mastercraft and took it in on March 13. It took them a week to repair my car. When I got it back it looked okay. A week after, it rained heavily and my car flooded (this NEVER happened before the repairs were done) I took it back to them and they gave me the excuse that I left my trunk open. They couldn't even take it back in the shop to find out where the leakage was coming from. I've had my car for over a year! I'm 110% sure I know how to close my trunk (I rarely use my trunk anyways) The Geico adjuster was unhelpful and told me this was going to be a new claim so $500 deductible. I already paid a $500 deductible for the accident that wasn't my fault. The manager at MasterCraft also got involved and did not stand behind the warranty. I didn't know what else to do but keep trying to get the situation resolved. I kept calling Geico letting them know the poor service I had with MasterCraft. I said, "you recommended me a shitty bodyshop who are irresponsible." They were bad at returning my phone calls and no one cared of what I was going through. After the flood, I took a better look at my car and the paint job they did were terrible. My bumper was not correctly placed back. The back window rubber was peeling off. it was one thing after another. I had my car evaluated by my dealership Hyundai and Quality Autobody located in Fairfax, VA. They both told me the repairs done on my car were horrible. I took all the evidence back to Mastercraft and they still wouldn't take responsibility. Just last week we had a flood warning and guess what my car flooded again! I took my car back to Mastercraft with the water inside and said, "Did I leave my trunk open again?" they now didn't have another excuse to why my car flooded again. The manager told me "We'll find where the water is coming from but I'm telling you now it's not from our repairs. If I send it over to a leakage specialist and they tell me it's from something else you will be responsible for the bill." and they came up with another excuse AGAIN...."the leakage came from the gasket tail light which is common on Hyundai cars, I'm sure Hyundai has warranty for that." The problem with my car is still not resolved. Geico and the manager at Mastercraft were very disrespectful and unhelpful. I don't recommend anyone coming here to get their car fixed. I missed several days of school and work. This has been the worst experience of my entire life! Now I am contacting the BBB and SCC to hopefully get some sort of response to my complaints. Over the years we have had to get our cars repaired several times because of accidents. Geico always sends us to Mastercraft Auto Body in Manassas. It's so convenient because Geico has an adjuster on the premises and Enterprise Car Rental is there, too (we get a free car rental during the repair). The whole process is really fast! But the best part is when we get our car back and can't even tell that it had been in an accident! The repair is flawless and the paint color always matches perfectly! I remember times in the past, when we had our car repaired somewhere else, the color wasn't right and I had to go to the bother of getting them to repaint it. I've always found everyone at Mastercraft to be very helpful and friendly. I'm kept informed of the repair progress via email. They really know what they're doing. I'm sure glad they're in Manassas. Recently, body damage to our oldest car was more than the car was worth (caused by a catastrophic tire failure). It was totaled by Geico. I really liked the car and didn't want to lose it. It was like an old friend and it was still in good mechanical condition, but it didn't sound like we could afford to keep it. That's when Amanda at Mastercraft came up with an innovative solution that got our car back on the road and saved us a lot of money! My boss backed into the driver's door with his F150 and I could literally (sitting in the driver's seat of my vehicle) stick my hand out of the bottom of the door and touch the asphalt. Since it's an older car, had it gone through insurance it would have definitely been deemed "unrepairable" just for the simple fact that the repairs would have exceeded the value of the vehicle. I was worried that since the only option was repair it would never look the same HOWEVER when I got it back I WAS BEYOND EXTREMELY SATISFIED. When I purchased the vehicle it had custom painted stripes that I was not fond of, I asked if they could remove those for me and they did as a courtesy! Now I just need to get the other side done so that my whole vehicle looks brand new! Regardless of all these bad reviews, I would NEVER take my vehicle anywhere else. This review is based on the experience of a GEICO policy holder. GEICO lists Mastercraft Auto Body - Manassas Park as one of their preferred shops. I made an appointment through my insurance company about a week in advance. When I arrived at my appointed time, I was pleased to be greeted by a GEICO Damage Adjuster, Mastercraft Estimator/Coordinator, and Enterprise Rent-a-Car Manager. Within 1/2 hour we had agreed on what needed to be repaired, when my car would be ready (2 days max), and I was driving away in my rental. My car was ready as promised, repairs were well done, and the car was even detailed! I have never had a more positive auto body repair experience in 30 years of driving. I will definitely return to Mastercraft if I have the misfortune of needing their expertise in the future. read more

Sadly I had not one but two accidents during the snow this past winter one right after the other. Mastercraft repaired both vehicles in a very timely fashion. The communication was excellent, one of the vehicles we need to have back within a week so we could travel to Disney in Florida. They made sure that happened and our vacation got underway on time. Both vehicles were repaired under insurance but with two different insurance companies. Mastercraft handled them the same and me like a person. I see some negative reviews post, sadly not everyone can be pleased but I was. I know this company has been in Manassas Park for 20+ years so to me a few negative reviews in 20+ years is expected. Took my car here after somebody hit my car door, left a dent and took some paint with them. I heard of them from Statefarm while filing my claim. Within an hour of filing my claim, Mastercraft called me to set up a time to come in and get an estimate. From then on I had nothing but excellent service, from setting a date to drop my car off and setting me up with a rental car to picking up my car 2 days later. Recently was rear-ended and was impressed by timely updates from MasterCraft Auto Body as they repaired my Aviator! Process was a Breeze! They coordinated with the insured to get a rental arranged for me and I think I was in and out for the drop off in record time. They kept me informed (with simple text updates) while ordering a special part (and explained why) and worked with the insured's insurance provider to make sure I had nothing out-of-pocket. My 1981 Porsche 911SC got hit from behind and I was given a list from State Farm of who to go to. Most on the list would not take my car BUT Mastercraft Auto Body did not have a problem. I called them while at work, explained what happen and by the time I got home from work they had the tow truck scheduled to pick my car up. The actual owner decided to work on my car and did such a GREAT job, he could have taken short cut but found original parts. They called once it was complete and OMG... I must the experience I had was rather pleasant and done in a timely manner. Sate Farm recommended Mastercraft for a rear end accident my Jaguar had been in. I had to have my car repaired after a portion of the tree in my front yard fell on it during a storm. I had my choice of repair shops from my insurance and I chose to keep my money in my hometown. When I picked up the car I was impressed with the work and it looked just like new. They returned the car to me washed and vacuumed as well, so it looked better than I left it. read more
