This is an update to a previous review where I detailed this business taking my antique diamond watch to repair the mechanism and instead putting in a battery operated mechanism without telling me and charging $160. Yesterday I took my watch to European Watch repair to fix it and they showed me how Masterpiece Jewelers had cut my antique Hamilton watch face and glued it to the battery mechanism, ruining it. Have used this little jewelry store several times in the past. This Christmas I bought a really unique bracelet dotted with little stones (green,blue and red) one of kind. Recently I noticed the little stones are falling out here and there. Went last week to try to replace stones. Today went to pick up and was informed the little stones can't be replaced. I am so upset I spent over $500.00 for a unique bracelet. Now it's just a gold bracelet with little dings. I wouldn't have purchased it if I knew the stones would start falling out so soon. In this era, I'm sure most patrons like to feel welcome, valued, and taken care of to some degree. At this point, customer service/satisfaction is important. I've been to this location I would like to say 5 times within the last two years. I'm face to face on average with at least 150 ppl a month at my place of business, and see my guest once maybe twice a year. Ironically, I remember most of them. Again, customer service is important and I like my guest to feel valued when they visit. I can't say the same thing for this place. First time I visited was June of 2016 to have my wife's engagement ring appraised. I ended up going a few more times in 2017 and ended up purchasing my wife and I 's weddings bands (about $1500.00). During the last payment/pick up for our wedding bands I would have liked to have felt at least a little welcome/valued but this gentleman still did not recognize me. I picked up our rings and instead of purchasing a set of diamond earrings for my wife from there, I went to Jared and purchased a set of rose gold diamond solitaire earrings. I solely went to another place because of how I felt walking out of this store. Like my patronage did not matter, "thank for you money sir, goodbye" Lastly, today I was passing by and figured I would stop to have my ring cleaned (I was in the area, I purchased from here, why not get a free cleaning. Since I was there I asked them do an inspection on my band. I started asking questions about maintenance and how often I should have the ring inspected. He begins to tell me that I should have it inspected at least twice a year and asks me with a confused face if I purchased my ring from him. I smirked (not surprised obviously) and said yea. He tells me that all of my diamonds are loose and his jewelry comes with a 1 year warranty. I'm about 18 months from my purchase date, so obviously not covered. It would have been nice to know about maintenance care/upkeep and warranty information. Thanks for the 1/2 off discount but I'd rather go somewhere else and pay full price. Probably Jared since they make their guests feel welcome, valued, appreciated, and provide adequate information at time of purchase. Take notes man.... read more

I took a ring into their business to have it sized and a watch for a blind person that needed the band adjusted. The jeweler was rude. He said it would cost 35.00 to size the ring and we talked about that costing more than the ring. He said he was cheaper than any other jewelers, which isn't true. When I asked about the watch and, he said he could take links out but if it didn't fit, he would not be responsible. I said how much would that cost $100.00? In front of other patrons, he said out loud "you are a smart ass". DON'T USE THIS BUSINESS unless you want to be ripped off and treated badly. What I did find out from a reputable jeweler is that the watch band was a stretch band and did not have links. All I needed to do was to replace the band. He obviously wasn't smart enough to figure this out and he would have ruined the watch, if I had let him handle it. Go to Kay's jewelers, they were much nicer! read more

Phenomenal service at a great price! Right away I was struck by how neat and clean this place was, because most of the jewelry/ watch repair shops I've been to are not! I brought in a few watches and a broken necklace and they fixed both watches tremendously fast, and set me up with a quality, new necklace chain for about the price it would cost to fix. So I walked out with everything taken care of in a matter of minutes. They were very friendly and happy to help, and even gave me a one year warranty on their work. Needed my watch battery replaced and this place was near my home so I thought I'd give them a try. As I entered I was greeted warmly right away. They immediately got to work on my watch and had me on my way in 5 minutes. The price for the battery change and service were a great value. Seems like a business with great integrity.
