03/20/26 - Masters Pancake House is located on Cicero Ave south of of I-55 on the way to Midway Airport. I've driven by Masters Pancake House on numerous occasions. Today I finally stopped into a packed house @ around 2pm. They have a nice selection of breakfast & lunch items. I'm partial to skillets. Today I ordered the Mexican skillet w/chorizo, onions, peppers, mozzarella cheese, extra crispy hash browns & 2 eggs over easy. The food was cooked to perfection the way I ordered it but the chorizo added a little too much salt to the dish for my taste (my fault for ordering the chorizo). My server was awesome & offered excellent service coming back several times to see if I needed anything else. read more

My kinda place....tight.....packed....old school where e'body looks up when you walk in...lolololol...loved the "temp" in the room, warm n fuzzy! Sam is an EXCELLENT server! She was awesome... My gurl ordered corned beef hash and eggs.....that corn beef hash was wonderful! Different taste.......couldn't figure what was different but excellent add-on. I ordered skirt steak n eggs......steak was charred wonderfully. HOWEVER lacked salt and other seasoning.....for $25 i was a lil disappointed. But again, charred w I nderfully which is often lacked. It's Christmastime and my buddy and I were trying to find a place we could go nearby to eat and open each other's gifts like we do every year. We decided to try here on the morning of 12/22/25. We walk in and you can see the kitchen is very busy. It was a pretty good amount of people dining inside and people were constantly coming in and out which is a good sign. We were seated and immediately taken care of by a friendly waitress. We didn't have to wait long for our food at all which was GREAT as we were both hungry. My buddy had the apple pancakes (apples on the side) that comes with eggs, crispy bacon and pancakes. I had the corned beef hash skillet with 2 pancakes. The food was plentiful and delicious! I had so much food, I was able to have the leftovers again for a breakfast meal the next day. I look forward to coming back here. Very clean establishment and they work very hard here. Came here after the gym and will say it's a must. The service is good, bilingual which is a plus in my book. The menu had a good amount of options but I went with the Mexican skillet and couldn't pass up the tres leche churro French toast. All were amazing! We were in town on a business trip and looking for a good breakfast by Midway airport. Well, the reviews led us here and didn't let us down. This is a simple mom n pop restaurant and we felt at home when we walked in. Simple folks enjoying their breakfasts and staff that was very friendly. I opted for the 3 egg meat plate and that included the French toast. A nominal charge for the blueberries. I loved it all. The polish sausage though was AWESOME . The flavor was nothing like I've ever had and so genuine. I could eat a whole plate of that. All this and a very reasonable price. We were starving after we landed at Midway Airport and saw that Masters Pancake House was close and had great reviews. There was plenty of free parking in the front, which was a huge plus in Chicago. The service was great--we were greeted and sat right away. The server came over immediately with water and coffee. I think we got our food delivered to the table less than 10 minutes after we ordered. The portions were HUGE. My omelet was amazing and overflowing with veggies and ham. My husband's hash was perfectly cooked and his eggs were just the way he liked them. I would definitely recommend Masters Pancake House! read more

Hey fellow Yelp users! I went to Masters Pancake House on 7/05/24 (Friday) for brunch. This was my first time coming here and I was so excited. I came at a perfect time (a little before 11 am) and I was able to get a table with no wait. Around 11 am, it started to get a little busy and some people had to wait for a table. Food: The food was really good. I was indecisive because they had so many great options to choose from. I was debating between the Two by Two or the Cinnamon Swirl Platter. I ended up getting the Cinnamon Swirl Platter (2 eggs, 3 cinnamon French toast, & choice of 3 bacon or sausage). I would definitely get it again. Atmosphere: I loved the atmosphere. It gives me old school diner vibes. I love me a good mom & pop restaurant. Customer Service: I thought the customer service was absolutely great. All the waiters I came across were very polite and were very attentive in refilling drinks which is awesome. Parking: It's located in a small plaza with a nail salon and a few other businesses. When I arrived, I found plenty of parking. I can assume & would say parking is hit or miss on a busy day. Overall Experience: Overall, I had a great experience at Masters Pancake House. The food was really good, the prices were very affordable, and the customer service was really great. It's definitely a breakfast/brunch spot and closes early. The food was excellent. The egg was a little well done for my taste, and I hate folded eggs. Other than that, it was delicious. The. The waffle sandwich was half a waffle; I missed that part. I would have liked a whole waffle with the eggs and bacon. All my food needed additional seasonings. I had to add salt and pepper for taste to the egg, and potatoes. The bacon was what I call paper thin, in the future ill order a side of bacon. The service was attentive and very welcoming. The space is awesome. I forgot to review this whole in the wall breakfast restaurant when I was in Chicago but looking at my pictures it was definitely a memorable meal. i have nothing against the food, i simply have to leave a bad review due to the way this place ruined by 11th birthday. the waitress messed up my order that day and my parents turned it into a whole lecture about how i should've spoken louder and how embarrassing it is that i couldn't order my food properly yet. i started crying and we had to leave early, i got no present and stayed in my room sobbing and playing video games the rest of the day. if that waitress never messed up my order (trust me i know i spoke very clearly), i would've had a great 11th birthday. to the asian lady with a chinese accent that served my table that day on july 8th, i hope you're happy to have contributed to my trauma. read more

I'm here at Master's Pancake House 5265 S Cicero, Chicago, IL not far from midway airport trying something different and out of my area. The customer service was amazing the food was ok.. I had three eggs over easy, hashbrowns, a ribeye medium well and French toast. The ribeye was not seasoned that well but it was tender. My hashbrowns were a bit darker than I prefer and not seasoned as well.. The French Toast was just ok.. they have a Friday French Toast special and a Wednesday Waffle special. I'm not mad at it but I was not really impressed by the food.. It's really cute in here and the customer service was exceptional.. I ate the food I just wasn't really impressed.. The portions were nice and if on the way to the airport and there is time I would try it again. But I wouldn't make this a first choice. read more

I would especially like to highlight their coffee guy, I didn't get his name but he is an older mexican gentleman. We just left Midway Airport. We saw this pancake house. So we decided to stop. So glad we did. Very good food and the portion sizes are huge. Definitely didn't leave hungry. The staff were very nice, and the owner thanked us for coming in. If you're in that area and it's breakfast time and you're hungry it's definitely worth a stop.
