My well pump quit on Wednesday. They had a man out Thursday to troubleshoot determined that it was a bad pump 27 years old. Two man crew showed up Friday morning and replaced the well pump that was 350 feet down and two pressure tanks all in the pouring rain. Amazing crew good work couldn't be more satisfied. I had a pump that was going out (essentially had to hit the overload/reset button 10-20 times before it would run a cycle and then would fail again... Mather's was able to get me back up and running fast. They were on time and had the pump replaced in a few hours. Being there when you say you will is important when someone is taking time off of work to be there... I actually had another local company "H_ll and Son's" in the name (Not Mather's) who was able to diagnose the issue of a failing pump quickly but then failed to meet their obligations and scheduled time to do the actual pump replacement. I won't use "H_ll and son's" ever again but will for sure call Mather's for all future pump needs. Mather's got the job done fast and their service team was top notch. Of another note, the other company was going to replace galvanized pipe from the water line down to the new pump with PVC and reuse the rest of the existing galvanized pipe. Mather's replaced the old pipe with new galvanized pipe the entire length. I think the galvanized pipe is a better product. it's a little more spendy, but worth it. The overall price was a little more compared to the other company but worth it considering the superior pipe material and the fact they actually show up when they say they will. read more

After, 30+ years our well pump finally reached the end. As pumps often do, it failed suddenly and without warning. Our friends said to call Mather and we (my wife and I) are glad we did. I am sorry to have to give a 1 star rating. Mather did the original work for our house well system, so I called them for a well no water pressure problem. The tech was polite and superficially helpful, hence the 1 star. Other than that, the response was totally unacceptable to me.. The tech mis-diagnosed the cause of the problem, and was more interested in changing out the well pump/ motor because it was old, and also said that the pressure tank and wall control panel and pressure switch needed to be replaced, even though I explained that I had just changed the run capacitor, start relay, and pressure switch, and we could see that L1 + L2 240 v was going out of the wall control panel to the well motor. He stated that if everything wasn't replaced Mather would not guarantee just the well pump work, even though he claimed that was the fault. The quoted cost was very high. I called a competitor who diagnosed the problem quickly and showed that the well pump was delivering 80psi at the well-head, and saved me many thousands of dollars I would've spent with Mather, and still have the problem after that expense. read more

Great response by Mather in coming out and verifying what was wrong with our water system. They were prompt the next day in removing the bad pump and replacing it with a new pump, 400 feet of new pipe and two new pressure control tanks. Excellent price as well so in 24 hours, we had water. read more

My pump froze and I was without water for a week. I called Mather Pump Service and got a service call immediately. The technician came out and fixed my pump that visit. He was knowledgeable and efficient, and I had water that evening. I had to wait for the glue to cure on the pipes. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Fantastic customer service and very responsive. My well pump burned out and after calling over 20 places within a 3 hour drive, they were able to not only locate the pump, but were able to get it shipped within 2 hours. Jorgen called me 4 times for specifics on what was effected and possible alternatives since family of 9 would be without water for a considerable amount of time. This is in addition to a review that I previously placed about Mather Pump Service. In my first review, I had glowing praise for the installation of an entire well system that the folks from Mather did for me, and I still am grateful for that excellent work. But this morning, we found a major leak in the pipe leading off of the pump (which had not been part of the Mather installation). I spoke to their dispatcher Kristen at 7:30 AM, and by 10 AM, their excellent technician Wade had fixed the problem! I just can't say enough good things about Mather Pump Service. These are the people you want to have installing and servicing something as important as your water supply! read more

My well ran dry. Super fast response. They were out in hours and the engineer looked at the system found the problem. They applied the service call fee and parts toward repair. I am going to also take a bid from them to improve the system I have; so, in the future I don't run out of water. They do above and in ground storage. Also, they contract out for drilling deeper wells if need. This is good I believe because they won't try and sell you on things not needed. Happy outcome and quick fix for now with improvement of my system in near future. read more

We had a great experience with Mather Pump Service. We had Wade come out and give us an estimate. To our surprise the estimate was very reasonable. Wade was great to work with he explained what we needed and how it would be installed. The customer service I received on the phone was amazing. Rick and Cory came out to install our new pump and tank. We couldn't have asked for better service from them. They were informative, courteous and hard working. Yes I realize I have water however I needed someone to come out and do an evaluation of my system since the tank is shutting off when I run the irrigation system. this is my 3rd summer up here and first time its happened -- anyway just called them for 3rd time to inquire why I hadn't rec'd a call back to book an appt. total BS and crappy customer service. Wow! So impressed with Mather & Sons! I found out I had no water Sunday night called Monday morning and by early afternoon the whole job was completed!! The service I received was excellent. The technician that came over was very polite and easy to talk with, he explained everything that was going on and what problems could possibly arise. The person I talked to in the office was very knowledgeable and explained everything in an easy to understand manner. I felt very taken care of all around. My whole pump system was shot and I knew this was probably going to be the case, I feel very fortunate to have had Mather & Sons come and replace everything at a very reasonable price. i was out of water when my well pipe broke called them up ,told them the issue , they called the next day and came out, loked at my line that i had taken out where it broke and the said they did not have time to do this because they have others homes without water. i said i have no water as you can see the water line is not connected. the tech was rude (wade) got in his truck and left. i called the office asked to speak to the manager , he was out to lunch and they said he would call me back, 4 days later no call!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . worst co service i have ever seen and rude people as well. Called them on a Sunday and left a voicemail and sent a Facebook message asking them to call when they got in Monday morning. They called first thing, sent someone out within an hour and he was amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly, explained things, showed us how to test and helped solve the issue. We weren't even sure when he came out if it was the well, the holding tank, the pump or the water system causing the issue and he showed us how to check for each issue. The best part is that it was very cost effective, less than I would have guessed. Would highly recommend. read more

My experience is exactly like the first review: zero response to calls for service. In my case, I called on the Monday before Thanksgiving. My well has been short cycling and I've narrowed the problem down to the well itself (likely a faulty check valve). Not a huge deal since I actually have water, but I also don't want to burn the pump out. The woman at Mather asked when I would be at home for a service call. I told her I could be there on Tues and Wed after noon (although I would have to leave work early) and all day Friday. She said someone would call back when they could come out (they apparently don't schedule service visits in advance). Nothing on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I come home and find a voice message was left just 15 minutes prior indicating that they could come by. I called them back but it was too late. I missed my window. However, they said someone could come out on Friday. No one came out and no one answered the phones when I called that afternoon the check on the status. On Monday I got the same lack of response. They said that they would check with the scheduler and call back with a time and date. They never did. Same thing on the next day. I have since given up and elected to go with a competitor. On Thursday, I turned on the circuit breaker to my well pump and the pump worked, but no water. I called Mather on Thursday to get an appointment to repair my well system. I use this well for irrigation of my property. They told me that they were too busy with commercial customers. I asked if I could be put on a waiting list because I had water to my home and that the well was for irrigation only for my acreage. They refused to put me on a waiting list. I asked if they would recommend someone, but they refused. I was disappointed by the customer service that they provide and lack of response to a customer's needs....sometimes your small customers could ultimately become your big customers. In any case, I found a reputable company in Woodland for which I have already written a wonderful review on Yelp. The Woodland company was out this morning and repaired my well system and did a fantastic job. I will highly recommend the Woodland company to all my coworkers, neighbors and friends that need well repair. read more

Contrary to the last two reviews, my experience with Mather and Sons was anything but a joke. They took me very serious. I ordered a centrifugal jet pump with adjoining expansion tank. (their products are second to none..top of the line) Their customer service was excellent, every time I called. After my equipment came in, one week later, I called to make arrangements to pick up my order. When I arrived, Mike not only told me how to connect the two pieces together, he and a warehouse helper connected the two pieces together for me. I didn't ask them to, Mike offered to. Talk about "Customer Service", it doesn't get any better then that! Mather and Sons are reliable, knowledgeable and courteous. I would Recommend them to anyone in a heart beat. Jorgen at Mathers was an incredible help to me. When I called needed a custom booster pump setup, he was able to get it specified and built out within a few days. More importantly, it was flawless in operation, which was critical given that it was going to be used for a MTB race, 3 hours away from the nearest cell phone service, so it needed to work right. We came home and found that we didn't have any water. We called Mather & Sons the next morning and talked to Lisa. She was very helpful and sent Mark out to assess the problem. Mark did some tests and determined that the pump motor was bad, so he called the office and got a crew scheduled to come out after lunch to replace the motor/pump assembly. Jason and Rick came at about 1ish and did a great job. They gave some good advice on what to keep and what to replace, then did a really good job cleaning up and making sure everything worked the way it was suppose to work. read more

Suddenly lost water and feared the pump had gone out in the well. Called and talked with Amanda in the office, who quickly handled the situation and sent a technician out to take care of the situation within an hour or so. Thankfully, it wasn't the pump, but the technician did an excellent job of explaining the tests he did. We woke up Tuesday morning and realized we had no water and did not know if it was our well or something connected with it. I called and spoke with their office. They let me know they were transferring my request to their scheduler and would call me back as soon as they could. I received a call within about 20 minutes to let me know they had someone on the way. Rick arrived about an hour later. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He went to work checking the well, the holding tank, the pump and the water system. He solved the issue and got it working. He went out of his way to save us as much money as he could. He also showed us what we could do if it happens in the future. Unfortunately, this was the cheaper fix because it was components in the electrical box, our next fix will be the pump in the well. We will definitely call them to do the work for this. We highly recommend the company. read more
