I have been ordering from this place for many years. The chocolate quality is excellent. Whether you are going for milk, dark, or white chocolate, all types of chocolate are delicious. One of my favorite things about this place is that they offer a basket made of chocolate. So after you eat everything in the basket, you can eat the chocolate basket. The service here is excellent. Whenever I call to place an order, I never have an issue. I have been in the store once and it smells great, looks clean and there's a lot of chocolates to see. I also saw that they do birthday parties and i think classes. Overall, this place is very cool. Today we had a birthday party for my daughter and her kindergarten class. I went off perfectly. The Attendants were polite and attentive , the chocolate was delicious and the activities were great! we made chocolate pizzas, dipped items in chocolate and saw how chocolate was made! every child loved the games and the dancing at the end too! Parking was easy and the location was safely off the street so there was no chance of kids running in the street. I wish we found out about this chocolatier sooner. We will visit often and there may be other parents having their parties there also! read more

Not only do they produce great chocolate, they dip everything in chocolate including dried fruits and strawberries. I used them for a catering job I did for a wedding and we were not dissappointed. I also ordered a chocolate tray for a function at my church and the guests loved them. Celebrities from Jay Leno to Bruce Springstein have giving accalades of how good this stuff is. My favorite item is the milk chocolate covered potato chips. I know they sound weird but the salty sweet combo is to die for. I even have my sister addicted to them. Went to Matisse Chocolatier on a Saturday afternoon with my boyfriend. This place is awesome! It's just little hard to find, it is on 260 Grand ave. but you have to go into a parking lot and it's located in the back. It's a small shop FILLED with chocolate. The owner is exceptionally nice, and even toured me around the store and party room. She allowed me to sample some of her chocolate before I bought anything. The chocolate is delicious, I bought the dark almond bark, some chocolate with sprinkles on it, and a bunch of delectable chocolate truffles that were finished by the time I got home. read more

Do yourself a favor and get the SALTED CARAMEL CHOCOLATES! $5 a bag of pure goodness (milk and dark both available). BUT don't leave them in the car! Otherwise, they'll melt into one big wobbly mess. Delicious homemade chocolate and the platters look beautiful on the table . This year I used them to send platters to some of my clients and it was great. It was ok. But don't try to redeem the Yelp offer! An older lady at the front counter was pretty hostile and said it was not an offer from Matisse but something from Yelp that she knew nothing about. We wanted to try the chocolate before buying more as we have never gone there before. She let us redeem the offer but added that we have to purchase something else, which we were anyway and had placed on the counter, and just was very rude. A bit disheartening given we were excited about going here based on the reviews and we were with our kids. We were also considering different venues for a party but definitely not here after this experience. I think I will go elsewhere for my chocolate. Customer service goes a long way and it's very lacking here. I gave it 2 stars as the chocolate was ok but nothing special. read more
