After tasting one, it definitely didn't resemble the quality of their homemade chocolate. It tasted like a mass-produced bar. Had I known they weren't made by Critchley's, I would not have purchased them -- especially in that quantity. Transparency matters, especially when customers are intentionally choosing to support local. Gave two stars because the chocolates that they DO make are good. Really disappointing experience. The most recent delivery was a box of chocolates. Why this stood out is because the brand name is eerily similar to the unique name of a BFF of mine. Tore off the shrink wrap, and the box is ready to devour. Oddly, there's no protection to the contents aside from the box's flip top lid, which does stay closed nicely but could use maybe a thin sheet guard for a germaphobe's peace of mind, like mine lol. The 16 pieces are a blend of milk/dark/white chocolates, shaped and carved into seahorses. The insides contain light, creamy, vanilla-flavored biscuit pieces, giving the melt-in-your-mouth trio of chocolates a textured crunch. So delish!!!! Apparently, these are available at Ross & TJ Maxx stores. The parent company is based in Belgium, where my spouse and I took a little tour of another chocolate factory, though no Oompa Loompas were in sight... Boo!
