Parking is accessible all around the street and Healdsburg square. The modern decor was beautiful and bright. There were plenty of tables and couches to accommodate all different size parties. The vibe was inviting and family friendly. There was a cozy fireplace in the front as well. We ordered a glass of Lyra Pinot Noir and a glass of Aries Chardonnay. My Pinot Noir was smooth while the wifey's Chardonnay was crisp and refreshing. The wine was great quality. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Marine Layer Wines. The staff was nice and helpful. We appreciated the family friendly environment. It was nice to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas, by relaxing with a nice glass of wine.

She also brought out a plate of locally crafted pastries for us to pair with our wine. The wine itself was very tasty and smooth, we bought a couple of bottles to share in Downtown Healdsburg afterwards so we could continue enjoying it. The winery itself is very beautiful and has a stunning view overlooking Dry Creek Valley. They had ambient live music with a tongue drum that added to the atmosphere. We were greeted with a welcome glass and were told they were setting up our table. That gave us enough time to do a couple of selfies and within minutes, we were escorted inside. Season Leef was our host/wine ambassador that morning and we loved her energy, attention to detail and how she treated us like we were members of the MacRostie Winery/family. She was more about understanding our palettes and pouring us what we gravitated towards to showcase the vast portfolio Heidi (winemaker) has been able to produce. Usually not a fan of Chardonnays but it was a neat experience tasting different variables and how each one is slightly different. We know we like Pinot Noirs so when we started diving into the reds, thats when we started figuring out what we liked. Ended up purchasing a bottle of their 2022 Nightwing Vineyard 828 Clone Pinot Noir :chefkiss: My two young teens are used to being at wineries with us so they're pretty good about keeping themselves occupied on their own (even with out devices). But, I really appreciated that Season brought over some paper and a pack of markers for them since they both still like to draw. Plus, we had a couple of good sessions of tic tac toe while we sipped and took our time. We had a great experience here thanks to Season! Seeing that they're dog friendly, we'll bring our 4 legged family member next time.

Turns out Christopher Creek closes at 5 on Tuesdays BUT one of the employees was still there and told us to sit anywhere and he gave us a tasting anyway. We did the standard tasting and everything was so good. We all loved the viognier and ended up buying 2 bottles. I also liked the Chardonnay and enjoyed the Pinot noir as well. The setting is stunning. There's an Airbnb you can rent on site with a pool, pizza oven, and grill. Wind club members get discounts, and wine club members can also have tastings done in home, all over the country. Very cool perks, but also a nice tasting or sipping experience as well.

If you are in the neighborhood and enjoy sparkling wines these two are delicious! The vineyard itself is beautiful and relaxing. Not because they're a bad winery, but simply because nothing really stands out. Overall, it's average at best. Average wine and average service. Overall, just... average. I've tasted at both Pezzi King's Estate House and at their tasting room in downtown Healdsburg. The experience at their estate house has been much more enjoyable than in their actual tasting room. My friend and I tasted at their estate house recently. It's located high up on the hill up a windy one lane road (drive sloooow). Once you get passed the rather intimidating drive to their estate, you'll be rewarded with some pretty stellar views. Their estate tasting takes place outside on their beautiful deck that overlooks their lovely lilypond and water fountain. The estate tasting is $30 ($15 for members) and includes a small cheese and charcuterie plate (per person, and 5 wines pours from their current tasting menu. In the past, I've enjoyed tasting their Zinfandel (this is what they're known for). But during our most recent tasting, they tasted very acidic. Kurt has usually been the one helping my guest and I during our tastings. And while he's always been pretty cordial, our experiences with him have always been rushed. He actually called me while I was at another winery to remind me not to be late since it would cut into my tasting time at the estate house. While I appreciated the gesture, it kind of made us feel uncomfortable. If you've been wine tasting, you know how things don't always go as planned as far as timing is concerned. When we arrived, he started off pouring the wines pretty quickly. It wasn't until another party (who was extremely late) pulled up that he actually started slowing down on our pours. As far as the wines go, it's always been a hit or miss for me. As I previously mentioned, I've usually found their Zinfandels to be the most appealing. I love a good fruit and spicy Zin, and this is what I've been used to with their Zins in the past. But during our last visit, the Zinfandels tasted really acidic. It was almost as if they'd been left out in the sun for too long. Maybe it was just a bad wine year or maybe they HAD been left out. Other than their Zinfandels, I haven't really been a huge fan of their other varietals. So again; not a terrible experience, but nothing I'd go out of my way to come back for anytime soon.

Highly recommend joining Rockpile or one of the other Wilson wine clubs as their wines encompass so many different varietals and styles. Rockpile has so many great wines! Their winemakers take great care and pride in their wines. They tend to focus on Reds but have a handful of whites too. The one that I am particularly in love with right now is their Petite Sirah/Zinfandel blend. It's spectacular! It's big and bold but easy to drink which I realize is a contradiction in the wine tasting world. Go in and have a glass to see what I mean. Cheers!

He started us off with several different wines but my favorite was the Ranch Reserve Zin. The tasting room in in town but was very bright, airy and clean. Fun place for wine tasting then walking around downtown Healdsburg. Loved the experience.

The view from this room was spectacular overlooking their expanse of vineyards and Mount Saint Helena!! Tonya was amazing! She guided us through all of our tastings, which actually was quite a few at this particular vineyard. And we even got super lucky that the founders son, who now runs, the vineyard was there he even stopped by to chat with us for a bit! Another thing that I really liked about this tasting as they give you snacks to pair with the wines throughout your tasting but you can also buy larger snacks if you wish. My husband and I agreed that the Cabernet Franc and the Primitivo were our favorites! Another fun thing about this vineyard is they make and sell their own olive oil. Everyone has a different palette, but we enjoyed the Warren's Hill pinot - which had a grippier, more tannin-heavy taste (than typical pinot noirs we were associated with). Aromatic, umami, darker berry fruit forward. As I preluded, the sauvignon blanc was fantastic - very fruity on the nose. Clean and bright, and I get predominantly pineapple/tropical notes. Would definitely come back again. We joined their allocation list, as they don't offer a typical wine club experience.

Our guide Shelby was incredibly kind, fun, and knowledgeable sharing insights about the property and making everyone feel welcome. The event took place in the winery's massive rose garden. The garden was in full bloom with every color rose you could imagine. We had all the tools and vases we needed to create our very own floral arrangements to take home. The floral arranging experience was creative, relaxing and set in such a beautiful garden setting. After finishing our arrangements we returned to the main tasting room for an outdoor catered lunch paired with Hanna's wines. Eating and sipping among the vineyards was the perfect way to unwind, socialize, and share our creations. We ate tons of delicious food and drank some amazing wines. Every single detail of this event felt thoughtfully planned. The Hanna team truly went above and beyond with the hospitality with this one. Overall, I would give this event 100000/10. I have taken many similar classes but none have topped Hanna Winery's Roses & Wine event. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more opportunities to attend. My girlfriends and I decided to do a day of Wine Tasting for my Birthday. We all have always…read moreenjoyed Hanna wines, but had never actually been to the tasting room in Santa Rosa. It was our first stop of the day. We were the only ones there and went inside, asked to do a tasting which was $15 each. Most places would waive the fee if you purchase a bottle or two, the lady working said they do not waive it unless you join the wine club. We still agreed to stay and do the tasting. We took a table outside, beautiful views. The lady working brings out all 4 tastings on a cute little board. She drops off the wine and a paper showing what we are drinking. That was it. No explanation of what we were drinking, no back story on the wines, nothing. She never once came to check on us. Once we completed our tasting we gathered our money for the tastings and left the cash on the table. One of my girlfriends popped her head in and told the lady the cash was on the table. She rolled her eyes and was just like umm okay. We walk out to our vehicle and are getting ready to leave when the lady comes out knocking on our window saying we were short by $3! We left a total of $80 for 5 tastings and yea only a $5 tip which wasn't even deserved. Apparently they charge tax on tastings? And that's why we were short. Paid the $3, she rolled her eyes some more and we left. Never have had an experience like that before and won't be returning to that location.
