Next time you need to just go to the Post office, take a friend or out of town visitor here. It is definitely tourist friendly. The elevator was photo worthy but due to a time restraint I could not go picture crazy. The coffee shop was worthy to visit and grab a donut or cup of coffee but poor barista was doing a couple of jobs at one time. He was struggling to help 3 customers and my watch was ticking so maybe next time our family will come have a coffee and donuts. The post office had the beautiful historic touch and my son adds it even have a smell of history. I understood well and it was not that bad smell but it had that historical groove and you felt good vibes here. It was kind of like a Mr Roger's neighborhood flavor and modern mixed in one. I enjoyed my visit and I will definitely be back. This trip to the post office brought a new experience and excitement about Tacoma! The hospitality at the actual post office was the highlight moment. Genuine old fashioned customer service and genuine smiles. The smiles was all contagious among strangers too. It is so many hidden gems of history in this place. Please Yelpers if you come , you will get camera crazy. I started to but my husband was restless for his other errands. I recently shipped two packages from this location containing a tuba (the bell and body come apart and were packaged separately). I provided the same dimensions for the boxes that were printed by the manufacturer and weighed the package at home. I was later charged an additional $300 after the package was delivered, with the billing adjustment saying that the packages weighed over 130lbs and the boxes were each 1 inch larger in dimension than I had stated. Given that thousands of middle school children across the nation carry and play tubas every single day in band class, I doubt any tuba weighs nearly that much. I am confident that the tuba, with packing material included, weighed about 50lbs. And given that I used the exact dimensions that came printed on the boxes themselves and the boxes weren't deformed, I'm confident in the measurement. The person who accepted my packages did not say anything about the weight being off. In fact, she confirmed that the larger of the two packages weighed about 35lbs and the smaller weighed about 15. I have no idea where the later weights of 70 and 60lbs came from. And I can only assume that the dimensions they told me came from sloppy measurement and an inability to read the dimensions posted clearly on the box. Somewhere along the line, somebody's gross negligence is costing me $300. I will NEVER ship packages here again, even if I do somehow get my money back.

I called the number and the guy claimed they couldn't do anything because my tracking number doesn't start with 1Z and to call Walgreens (even though I gave him the tracking number from the UPS tracking site). Fucking bullshit.
