Mattel offers a collectors program under membership called RLC for its Hotwheels limited offerings. They suggest they limit sales to a specific release date and offer they also limit the amount to one per purchase per household. Interesting to find these collectors units in hand, available, under resellers before official release and in qualities much larger than one. Mattel does not deny presales when confronted however. They also allow bots to slow / jam the item on release date so that only the resellers get units till sold out. When contacted for help or update, they take the corporate stance that they will forward comments ... but it never goes anywhere. Software is available to limit bots and this type of slamming however Mattel will not update. Individuals like Susan Carr only move complaint and suggestions to a quick apology and closure. read more

This is the corporation that started it all really - I mean it's pretty disgusting how they are putting genders in boxes and whatnot, but having said that, Barbie is in love with Barbie and that's kind of how she became Barbie - and I'm pretty glad she did because it's really sexy and makes her incredibly happy, which she wasn't before, so we both really appreciate this Corporation - even though they have a lot of sexism issues obviously. And being that skinny is not the way to be sexy. Being yourself is the way to be sexy. And curves and even obesity can be very sexy but they're even more unhealthy than being anorexic, so be careful. Try and eat healthy, it's not just about looks - it's about not dying, getting cancer, heart disease, whatever. Let me state that I am not complaining about the experience I had, I'm simply stating facts for those who want to plan a trip to Mattel. This is my experience as a teenager btw, for adults it may be different. I had a terrible experience, but I walked away with some cool finds :) MANAGER IS AWFUL Get to the store early, 9:30 on weekdays or earlier, 6:30 on weekends or earlier. Apparently a line forms "across" the parking lot because they don't count you as in line when you're on the property. If you've never been there before, the every day scalpers will do everything they can to prevent you from being first in line. The employees get mad at you and expect you to know all this info beforehand btw, the manager is extremely unhelpful, and gets mad at people who ask questions. She yelled at me multiple times for not knowing what was happening even after I asked her to explain. The daily shoppers there appear to have a relationship with the manager which allows them first dibs when scanning to get in line, they all go in the same order every morning regardless of who gets there first. At 10:00 they bring a sign with a QR code on it outside, you'll scan it depending on your place in line, and pick either "premium" or "mainline" and you'll be given a place in line. Then you wait till the store opens for your number to be called. People literally push and trip each other to get inside, it's nuts. The matchbox section is open, so you can go through there while you wait your turn to go to the hotwheels. Once your number is called, you have exactly 60 seconds to go through the aisle before the Mattel bodyguards yank you out. I witnessed them putting hands on people to remove them from the aisle. These are all adults btw. Good stuff. You can buy one of each type of premium item, more isn't allowed. The selection is super bad. Premium wise I witnessed fully grown men and women fight over cars I'd seen on the shelves months ago at the stores in my area. They don't stock well on premiums, two packs or team transports. Specialized series are easy to find there though, pearl and chrome, forza stuff, zamac sets, etc. Mainline stock for hotwheels and matchbox is really good, they're up to date on cases and they stock plenty. No chance for supers though, the employees go through the boxes before they go out on the floor. Prices are the same as Target or Walmart, they don't overcharge which is the only redeeming quality. Overall, the employees are terrible, especially the manager, and the daily collectors will treat you terribly. Overpriced and very few exclusives selection. Can easily find these items in most retailers and sometimes cheaper. Should be more like the San Bernardino store, that's actually worth checking out. That store is discounts galore and way more exclusives. Most of the items here could end up in San Bernardino anyway. They also have NO public restroom for customers and all employees I asked directed me to the Double Tree Hotel Lobby restroom. Do better Mattel. read more

Great place to get toys especially during the holidays season. But I highly recommend coming early so you don't miss out on the sale or toys. Prices are reasonable and they tend to change there toys monthly. You can sign up you get an additional 10% of which always helps. read more

YELP 100 CHALLENGE 2018 - PART 2 - 80/100 Great. No. More. I've been back a few times since their "revamp" and I haven't found any good deals since! Big Bro (from out of state) happens to be a Hot Wheels fan, so he asked if we could drop by to see what their corporate office store has to offer. In fairness, I did warn him he'd most likely get disappointed. And that he was. He said, "This is it?! This is all they have to showcase?! Kinda sorry for a corporate office store!" Sadly, I have to agree. With Toys R Us now defunct, the only choices left are Walmart or Target. And Mattel being Mattel, I think it's only fair to expect much MUCH more. They were closed for some time to make "improvements" so I expected the upgrade to include an expansion not only with their floor space but with their selections. Nope. It just looks roomier with better looking floors. And not so great bargains. Convenient enough to stop by once in awhile. I still have hopes. read more

Overcrowded place . Mattel should do better with keeping the store organized. Too many adults blocking kids off so they wont get that item . Do not come here if you are a collector. Just buy them at stores lol or amazon . Too much people go in at the same time they need to have some sort of line to go in . I've been shopping here a lot lately and all of a sudden the items are final sale. Thats fine to have as a policy, however, I don't like how they wait until you check out to place a stamp on your receipt, that says FINAL SALE. (they just started doing this.) Its no signs up on the aisle that says final sale, nor do they inform you before you checkout! SHADY BUSINESS! Why is it that all of a sudden there's a stamp that says final sale when back in June when I was shopping, there's no stamp that says final sale on my receipts? So, if you plan to shop here, BEWARE! Customers need to know upfront if by chance they need to return, they can BEFORE THEY CHECK OUT. So what if my item is defective? Im out of luck? Transparency would have been nice. read more

Found this place several years ago while working in the area. This has been my go to ever since. I am impressed by the excellent customer service every visit. There is a wide selection although some may think the store is small. The toys and games are priced well, which is the most important factor for shopping! 11/15/19 Barbie Dolls and happy smiles on young boys and GIRL'S faces!? 90% of the youth seem to think so. This is not counting the adults that did and still do collect Barbies to this day. Most of the time I think of Mattel as a Barbie machine factory. I forget that not only do they make Barbie Dolls, they are responsible for Hot Wheels, Polly Pockets, Monster Highschool, American Girl, She-ra&He-man, WWE Action Figures, DC Comic Merchandise and so much more. This does not include tv movies, animated movies and costumes by Mattel. I did play with Hot wheels cars; as well, as G.I Joe action figures. So I guess you could say k played with a doll...if you count an action figure as a doll. Speaking of dolls, I did examine a number of Barbie dolls in the 80's and saw the stood on their toes. The dolls were set up for her wearing high heels, but this has since changed. I noticed as a kid that Barbie's main squeeze was Ken. If Barbie had this or that, Ken did too. I also saw Ken looked more feminine than Barbie at times. I wondered if Ken was capable of doing anything on his own. Then on February 14th 2004 Ken and Barbie split up. The news shocked the world. The news somehow reached me and I was like whoa! These two names have been around for 50 years a d Mattel splits them up like whoa! Then in February 14th 2011, Barbie&Ken are together again. I just found this out to my a d I am like whoa! Okay I think it's safe to say that song Like Whoa is on my mind. The song is by Black Rob if you didn't know. I see the Mattel name brand today and think a out the new stuff that would drive me crazy as an adult. But who is to say some of the things my parents thought were wacky, I liked as a kid. Sign up for their newsletter and get 10% off everything in the store. There is a bargain shelf in the back corner with older toys or toys with damaged packaging marked as 60% off retail. I haven't been to this store in years. One of my coworkers-workers recently brought a bunch of toys to work and she told me that she'd gotten some really great deals at the Mattel Store. So I thought this was an awesome opportunity to go back and look fir some bargains for some Easter baskets that I'm going to make. Boy, was I ever disappointed. A lot if the prices were the same as most department stores. I thought I was going to be able to pick a lot of great items at really great prices but it didn't happen---not even close. I was able to capitalize on the "dal of the day" a Barbie with her horse for only $10 and I was able to pick up baker Barbie fir $5.00 other than that there was nothing worth purchasing. I heard several people say the same thing that I was thinking. I spoke to two other woman who were also on the hunt for Easter basket toys but we were all out of luck. Also, did I mention that I encountered at least 3/4 salespeople throughout the store and not one of them ever asked me if Inness any help nor did they even say hello. Not the friendliest place I've ever shopped I won't say I'll never go back but I just hope that next time I'm able to find some better bargains read more

Underwhelming at best. I was really excited to visit the store specifically for hot wheels and the selection wasn't as vast as I thought would be. More of overstock items and possibly items that couldn't sell from last season. I hear there is a pop up tent every now and then with really good deals, could possibly return for that. If you're looking for other Mattel toys, they have a pretty good selection. Worth a visit, not a big store, don't get your hopes up to find every toy they've made just because it's their factory store. read more

Extremely saddened that I cannot find a POC Birthday Barbie anywhere. They used to have three different versions of the the Birthday Barbie but now only the fair skinned one has stood the test of time. Having a Barbie birthday party for my little one and will have to settle instead of finding a doll that looks more like her. Who doesn't like a toy store? It's small but kind of neat to browse. The selection at any given moment is real limited but they change he inventory on the shelves often. You'll also find more product when the Christmas season comes around. And I agree, the prices aren't really that great but it's a cool place to checkout. Parking depends on when you go. If it's during the weekday, then you compete with all the other business workers. Since this place is off the beaten path, it doesn't get crowded at all on a Saturday. read more

I used to come here all the time for Hot wheels cars since Covid has had almost no cars left to find in targets or walmarts. The employees here instead are disorganized and kept us outside while everyone in the front of the line could take as many car culture or super treasure hunts as they want before we can enter the store. This was not a problem before and I can't imagine coming back until they put a limit on how many of each car one person or family can buy so the rest of the people waiting in line have a chance. If you're not one of the first ten entering the store at opening time, you might as well leave. read more

I can't believe it's taken me this long to check out this store. I've always known it was around the area but never stopped in until this past Saturday. It was pretty cool! It was nice to walk into a store that is so clean, organized, lots of selection of Mattel made toys and super helpful staff available. They have special deals and deals of the week. The cashier introduced me to their reward's program that is cool. I purchased a hot wheels item that was on sale this week. And they have a clearance like section in the back corner that you can find some good finds if they aren't gifts. When I checked in it was awesome to be able to use the Yelp check in special $5 off! I will never shop retail again! My son LOVES HotWheels and we have been buying his sets for full retail price. The stores always carry the same sets and the merchandise are never rotated . Toys r' us has a big selection but they are the most expensive place to buy toys. I stopped by last Wednesday and picked up a HotWheels set for $13.49. The original price was $44.99. I also picked up three baby toys and a classic cars HotWheels that I might even like for myself. I usually like designer baby toys from Vulli or Skip Hop but the price of the baby toys were cute and cheap enough to be worthwhile. My whole total was around $25. I came back the next day to try to get another of the $13.49 HotWheels set but they were sold out. I stopped by the clearance tent first and picked up a Matchbox fire house set for $8.49 that retails for $19.99. My son has the Matchbox service station that we paid $19.99 for. They are part of a city collection that can attach together. I also picked up a smaller HotWheels set for $6.49. This set retails for $19.99. I spent a total of $15 at the tent. The tent items are final sales and up to 75 percent off. They had tons of dolls: Monster High, Polly Pockets and Barbies which I loved. My mom once bought me a African American Barbie because it was cheaper :o At the store, I got the triple tracks HotWheel set, the Matchbox city Police Station, a Disney Baby Toy and a Fisher Price book and car. My total was $85 with everything at 50 percent off. They have so many other toys from Disney, Angry Birds, DC Marvel, Dora, Thomas the Train, and baby jumpers, high chairs, mobiles, and crib toys from Fisher Price. There are a lot of toys that couldn't sell or didn't sell well but if you know what you are looking for this place is perfect. I will definitely come here again for more toys or gifts :p read more
