With the adoption of a new kitty with…read morespecial health concerns I know that I need veterinarians with the skills and training to support her health needs, and this is the office for that. My Tabitha is feline leukemia positive, so the support of Dr. Carter and Dr. Weirauch is so appreciated and necessary. It's also wonderful that they show affection to my fur baby when we are there. I know that she will be taken care of very well for however long she is with me. I can't recommend Manor Veterinary Hospital any stronger!

I gave them a call regarding questions I had about a kitten that I rescued, which is where the person on the phone with me, Gunnar, was able to briefly help me, but said that he would need to speak with the doctor and would give me a call back. While I did not receive a call back, I did receive a very detailed text message by Gunnar. Firstly apologizing for not giving me a call back and secondly going into detail of what my options were with caring for the kitten. He gave me advice without making me feel obligated to go with them to have the kitten seen. This type of kindness will always incline me to leave a review to show appreciation to those who are just simply caring without expecting anything in return. I will be sure to bring my pets here if the occasion arises, thank you for being caring to not only people, but to animals!

Amber, the front office lady, was extremely cold and dismissive from the moment I walked in (10am btw). She immediately took the entire folder I brought & said she needed to look through it instead of simply asking me for the paperwork she needed. She then told me my kitten's last FVRCP was on 8/6. I explained that 8/6 was the scheduled date from the shelter and that he had actually received his FVRCP and rabies vaccine two days ago, after we adopted him. She continued arguing with me about it and said he might be vaccinated again that day because they didn't have the records. I understand needing vaccination records, but the way she handled the situation was unnecessarily confrontational and made me feel like she was questioning whether I even knew what had happened with my own son. Being told my kitten might get vaccines again only two days later was very concerning & made me nervous for the appointment (a simple google search could tell you AAHA/AAFP feline guidelines recommend at least 2 weeks between vaccination events). Thankfully, Dr. Ramirez listened and confirmed that he did not need them yet. He was great and made the actual appointment a positive experience. Unfortunately, the attitude from the front desk lady made what should've been a smooth first vet visit unnecessarily stressful & set the tone for the appointment. She could benefit from a little patience & professionalism, and tbh if you're unhappy with your job leave it to someone else who'd thrive in it.

Which would be absolutely fine if I hadn't specifically asked for anti-anxiety medications for my dog. When she arrived at the vet today the total cost for the visit had jumped to an estimated 304$, for included blood tests on top of the exam. I absolutely understand this is necessary, but when I called to ask why that was not part of the estimation the reply was "Not all anxiety medication requires blood testing." I don't understand how a veterinarian could hear that a dog has anxiety issues, and not have any idea that she's going to need testing for said issue, especially after multiple days of calling in to check. Tying it all off with a wonderful bow, by the time I had someone willing to help and didn't see fit to answer all my questions rudely. My partner had already been forced to pay the cancellation fee and barred from returning as well as one of the employees going out of her way to call my character into question. TLDR: I absolutely 1000% understand not all anxiety meds require bloods testing, I also understand that none of them were ruled out ahead of time so it should've been in the estimation. When I called to ask why it hadn't been included the First Lady was very rude, by the time I had someone else on the phone explaining we were banned.
