I've had to sadly call Doorstep Vet twice over the years for 2 beloved pets, Roland and Otis Their kindness during these times are unsurpassed. Having them come to you makes the experience so much less stressful. Wonderful people

Dr Simpson handled this awful process with a grace and kindness I simply wasn't expecting. It was still an absolutely gut wrenching day, but she made it as comfortable and as gentle as I could have hoped for. She gave Molly the dignity to pass in the most loving & humane way possible... In my arms, at home, surrounded by her family. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate everything she did for us and for Molly. Dr Simpson was literally like an angel... From the bottom of my heart, so much gratitude for the services you provide.

What else can on really say about a service like this? Its reassuring that something that is so hard to do can be done in a comfortable setting for you and your pet. From start to finish not only were they extremely professional but the compassion they show is very touching. Dr. Betts is a fantastic person and walked me thru everything before she started and after 19 years with Mikey he was finally at peace. Thanks for Everything you have done for me and my boy Mikey. It was an tuff decision to make but in the end it was the right thing to do. Thank you~john

They returned messages quickly, were empathetic to my sniffles and tears. The vet arrived on time as promised and was an ultimate specialist on the process and brought ample chicken and sausages for Molly to scarf off the plate, giving her enough time to administer the shots without Molly noticing. It was as good an experience as this process can be.

Doorstep Vet Staff, Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and caring for our sweet Mosa when it was time for us to let her go. Dr. Pool was absolutely wonderful and we are so grateful for her and her kindness shown to Mosa and to us making Mosa's final earthly day painless and peaceful. We are comforted to know Mosa is now enjoying her new days as stardust in the heavens. We still miss her every day so we made a Mosa shrine with cards received, her ashes and paw print . Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and caring for Mosa with the gift you made in her honor to the Doorstep Vet's Angel Fund. What a wonderful gift that we appreciate so much. With thanks and appreciation for making this final day in her and our lives peaceful and gentle with your wonderful service and personnel. With much appreciation.

I generally do not write reviews therefore i hope mine will reach the masses. Dr Pool and her assistant were wonderful from beggining to end. Promt down to the second, thouroughly explaining the process, not rushing our goodbyes, and much more. We were walked through every second of the process and she made sure our baby girl was comfortable all the way to the end. I would highly recommend doorstepvet for at home care/aftercare. Our baby's transition into heaven was painless and achieved with the utmost care. Some of the most compationate professionals i have ever met in the vet industry.

Our kitty Farty started bleeding one day, stopped eating and moving. We took him to an emergency vet, and they basically said there was nothing they could do, and he was fine. After 3 days or trying to get to eat, drink, ect we, we feared that we would have to put him down. He was fading quickly, and we hated watching him suffer. My mom wanted to try and took him here, and thanks to the doctors collaborating and trying to figure out what was wrong, they were able to bring him back to his old self after weeks of care. He had a severe undiagnosed UTI, hyperthyroidism, and possible IBD. He was on deaths door, we were so heartbroken, and because of the caring of this vet, they were able to bring him back to his old self. I also recently brought my kitty Tiny in a panic due to her not keeping any food or liquid down, and they fit me in and were extremely understanding even though they were short staffed that day. This is the best vet I've been too and I always feel listened to, and I feel like they care about the animals so much. Every time I'm here, the phones are ringing off the hook, and I can see why. This is possibly the best vet in the area.

I felt awful calling so close to their close time but the lady that answered the phone assured me it was perfectly fine and to come on by. Our normal place of care is Banfield as we have a monthly plan with them, but they were booked up. They didn't try to get any extra tests/labs to get more money out of us or anything like that and recommended antibiotics and steroids to calm the symptoms down. Within a day our dogs paw was better and she wasn't limping anymore. The exam fee was $98 and we paid $151 in total. I really appreciate taking the time to help us so close to closing and paying attention to details. The staff treated our dog with exceptional care and lots of love. We've been taking our fur babies here for 6 years.Communication from the girls at the front desk…read morehas always been a little lacking. It was okay because we felt that Dr Rodriguez was very informative. He was never very loving to our babies but that was okay. One month ago we dropped our 12 yr old Shepard mix off for reverse sneezing and a running nose.Dr writes it off as allergies.A week later it continues and she became lethargic.Went back to Dr. He does an xray and camera in her nose.Tells us could be fungal, foreign body or cancer. He suggested a CT scan, referred us to a specialist. 48 hours later and the order was never sent. After multiple calls to push the order the scan is finally done.Dr will call once results were in.We got results the following Tuesday via email from specialist.Ended up having to call them to get results a few days later.Dr said we need a biopsy.Opted for a fungal test instead(less invasive and less costly)Process of elimination.Brought her back for test on Fri.Thurs, no call. Our dog started pouring blood from her nose.Called panicked, was told rudely by a lady in the office"Well, I guess you should bring her in".Found out then that they had the results since Mon.We didn't understand why we weren't informed. We rushed her in. Dr insisted he had called us and that it had gone straight to VM.We had no missed calls and no messages were left.We let him know how the office had treated us.He said he'd handle it.He stopped the bleeding, told us the fungal came back negative and this was most likely cancer. We were devastated. We brought her home completely broken hearted and prepared for the worst.Sunday seizures started. If you've experienced seizures, you know how upsetting they can be and how hard on the body they are.We called Monday morning.Spoke with Dr who told us to come pick up anti seizure meds right away, they would be ready immediately.Rushed over, was told by the ladies in the office that they weren't ready and to have a seat.Waited for about 10 minutes and then was told they did not have the meds in office but that they could call them in to our pharmacy.I said that was okay and headed over to ensure it was rushed.Waited at pharmacy for 30 minutes. They still hadnt received them.I called the vet in tears and asked if they could rush the script.Response from office:"I don't know what you want me to do.I can't just pull a tech from another customer to fill your script" I said okay but please hurry she is still seizing.I head home to wait and be with her.Another 40 minutes goes by and the pharmacy still has nothing. The pharmacy says theyll call to get a verbal.Call goes straight to VM.Turns out they closed for the rest of the day for training. At this point, I'm a mess.My baby is suffering and I have no help from the people I had trusted. My husband goes to the vet and knocks on the door.A tech answers,he explains. She apologizes, says she'll take care of him and puts him in a room. Dr Rodriguez comes in about 10 min later yelling "What are you expecting!?" Husband with tears in eyes explains he feels we were put on the back burner, we needed help and he doesn't understand why the script wasn't sent.Dr R continues yelling saying everything he has done for us.We have paid outrageous amounts of money to this man over the past month and past 6 years. He then yells "What do you want from me?!" Husband says "I just want the script for my dog"Dr gives it to him proceeds to follow him out of the office yelling the entire way. Hubby heads back to the pharmacy to find out Dr didn't fill in the quantity. He then had to go back and face the horrendous situation again. At 2pm we finally got the meds into our baby and get control of the seizures. She has had 4 in less than 18 hours. When you are dealing with end of life treatment for your babies,I highly recommend a vet and office staff with compassion.I honestly can't believe we were treated this way.Especially during such an emotional time. When it comes to vets,I recommend anyone but this one.Our babies already have a new doctor.

An important message that I sent was missed, which led to my cat's waste collecting over a period of days in the tub, and with my cat eventually peeing on my bed (he is beyond hygienic and selective with where he goes to the bathroom). Even with the missed message, I would think their noses would lead them to the tub? It absolutely stank when I got home (there was also dried cat vomit in the bathroom - I just live in a studio). And I then had to spend hours washing everything on my bed, getting Urine Destroyer, etc... really not ideal after getting home from a trip. This is in addition to lights being left on, pill pocket pack not sealed after use, and litter and garbage preferences not followed. Also, I would have preferred they contacted me when my cat decided not to eat his medicine the first day, than to decide how to handle it on their own, although their idea wasn't a bad one. They are perfectly nice people but I would say that if your cat requires anything beyond basic care (throw food in a bowl and scoop box), look elsewhere. Details and communication are important. I communicated some of this to the company and they offered me a free visit in the future, which I thought was a bit presumptuous. They did play with him and actually spend time with him (instead of feeding and dashing), which is something I do appreciate.

We have one cat who we love dearly, and one visit they completely left our cat endangered and the owner of this company (which says a lot about the company itself) took ZERO accountability, not only that we found our account inactivated by them which means they are refusing us service after a mistake they made- and we can no longer even contact them. They left our Patio balcony door- we live on the third floor in an apartment WIDE open with our cat who can clearly open the screen door that was slightly open. That is SO dangerous. We have a ragdoll who don't have much reflexes and he could fall and die from such a height, or even escape or jump out and seriously injure himself. They left the door open and left the keys inside with no way to get back in while we were on vacation. Then we got one text saying they left this door open and we were shocked when we checked our pet camera. This is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. The only apology we got from this horrendous accident was "i apologize." She didn't call once, and if we hadn't seen this text message promptly i feel as though she wouldn't even have cared and went on their day. DO NOT TRUST YOUR BELOVED PET WITH THESE PEOPLE. You've been warned!!! This was over memorial day weekend and nobody was even in the leasing office to help which is super scary. Bad experience overall from a pet sitting company we've been trusting for awhile now which is so disappointing. I can see now they don't care about pets.
