We purchased a Tempur-Pedic mattress that was already above our original budget, and followed the salesperson's recommendation to go with a returned model. We expressed concerns about this, but were assured that if there were issues with the mattress, we could return it if we purchased an additional warranty, which we did. Unfortunately, the mattress was extremely soft on one side, causing both my wife and me insomnia, back, neck, and shoulder pain. When we reached out for support, we were told to contact Tempur-Pedic, as Mattress Firm refused to help us. We then learned how difficult it is to get a return or exchange approved directly through Tempur-Pedic. At this point, we are out $5,600 on a product that is completely unusable + $129 for a warranty that is completely useless. We haven't received any support or guidance from Mattress Firm to resolve the issue, which is extremely disappointing given the price point and expectations. I won't be purchasing from here again. read more

We bought a mattress here two years ago on Black Friday and with thanksgiving here, I'm reminded of my awful experience. We purchased a QUEEN bed but got delivered a FULL. When we called and sent pictures clearly showing the actual measurements of the FULL bed, they refused to make it right and replace the mattress. They even sent someone else, CLEARLY saw that it didn't measure as a queen, and said that "yeah just sleep on it until it stretches out into a queen" (????). That's not how a mattress works and so we overpaid for a FULL mattress while Mattress Firm completely ripped us off and pocketed the difference. Liars, cheats, and greedy thieves and I tell everyone I know to NEVER buy a mattress at Mattress Firm. read more

Awful do not buy from this store! I bought a $6000 mattress from Mattress Firm and very expensive pillows. We ended up really not liking the pillows and i asked if we could exchange them for other pillows. Not a refund just different ones. The sales associate was rude and condescending and would not let us exchange for other pillows. Came here as I'm looking for a new bed. I sleep hot and on my side do I wanted something medium to soft but also sleeps very very cool. This bed is AMAZING! I laid in it for about10 mins. Our Sales guy was Steve he was very pleasant, professional, friendly, knowledgeable and Helpful. He was able to answer every question we had. He wasn't pushy or made us feel as if we had to choose right away. I came in looking for a bed my sister originally requested and he offered us something similar as he didn't have it in store. Now back to the bed it was the temper pedi with and adjustable base and has a four way massage built in. It was heaven. Rip off! For some reason, Costa Mesa location by Nordstrom Rack doesn't appear but we bought a Tempurpedic mattress there. Sales person told us they price-match for 3-months, even told us to check on President's Day because they will have a big sale. We noticed that they lowered price by $100 so we called, spoke to Curtis - twice. He said he would take care of it. Several weeks went by and we didn't see credit or refund so we stopped by the store and Curtis happen to be working. He said he remembered us calling but said that he would need to check with his manager because President's Day promotion is no longer available in system. He called today stating that his manager (Monica) said they could not honor the promotion - the end! We asked him to have his manager call us. He said he would tell her when she comes into office tomorrow...this is ridiculous. Do you realize the stress and work you're putting consumers through when you fail to execute on your promotions? read more

The sleep expert named Angel was there to answer all of my questions and to show me which mattress I may like. I chose the Nectar Premier Copper mattress. I purchased a couple of beds from Mattress Firm in Costa Mesa. The order was paid in full on 8/31. The order was on Will Call and never shipped or scheduled for delivery. On Sept 3rd I contacted the office and requested my order be canceled and a full refund be issued. I talked to Stevie at 2:46pm and was advised my refund was processed in full and I would receive the money in 5-7 business days depending on my bank. September 14 I contacted the store again because no refund has been received and per Chase Bank none issued. I talked to Lethaniel at 11:47am he said his Manager, Monica and them had been discussing it and was told the refund was never issued they processed it that day and again another 5-7 business days depending on my bank. I told them that was unacceptable so he offered for me to call Monica who was working at another store that day. I called Monica, she was rude and accepted no responsibility for the error. She said I am just now hearing of this, I said your sales associate said you knew. She said I don't know what you want me to do aside from paying you out of my pocket accounting says it was refunded. She said I should call and yell at my bank not her. I disconnected the call. Yesterday, 9/21 Kurtis called me and said unfortunately, again the refund never got processed it did now as of yesterday to allow 1-2 Business days to complete "processing" then 5-7 days for your bank. This is the WORST service, this cost me my checking account with Chase and I had to spend $30 to fax proof to Chase this was not my error. Absolutely worst business and I had been a customer of Mattress Firm for years. NEVER Again! Do yourself a favor and avoid doing business here. read more

Memorial Day sale. Late post. Great service and no pressure. Azita was our sales rep and she was so cute! She even told us to go shop around before we bought a bed and we did. Honestly, I couldn't find a better deal. We brought our son and his friend. Azita did not give us any dirty looks when they were testing out the beds for fun that we decided to buy a bed for our son also. We walked into the store with no intentions on purchasing anything and walked out with one king Serta, an electronic bed stand, and a twin bed with an electronic bed stand. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! Purchased a mattress and was told that it included a free, adjustable base. Curtis, our sales "expert" (said he could call himself that because of the 6 hours of online training he took to learn about their products) then quickly talked us into also purchasing the "platinum service" for an additional $149!! (So much for saving money on the base). This included the removal of the old bed and also the delivery person would do the necessary "calibration" of the electric base which would be required when setting up the bed in order to ensure it was balanced and fully operational. TOTAL SCAM!!! Bed was delivered and I asked the gentleman if he performed the calibration besides unboxing the frame and taking the plastic off of the mattress. He told me that it didn't need anything more than to have the legs screwed on, plug it in and press the up and down arrows on controller to raise/lower the head of the bed!! I immediately called Curtis back to inquire why I paid $149 for a service that was not provided. He said he was relatively new to the job (what happened to expert??) and may have "misspoke" about what was included in the service. I could tell that he knew he had ripped me off because he wanted to call me back after he spoke with Monica, his manager. He called me back and told me that she had said that the service was actually for removal of the old bed and "assembly" of the new bed. ASSEMBLY??? He literally unboxed the frame, screwed on the legs, plugged it in and place the mattress on top after removing the plastic. As a real cake-topper, there is no way to attach a headboard to the frame unless you purchase a bracket for an additional $40!!! Rip off!!!!!!! Feels like from the manager, Monica, right on down to the new employees like Curtis, the philosophy and mission of this store is to lie to customers and upsell services that are not required. My husband and I had been delaying buying a new mattress over the stress of dealing with "salesmen" and going through the whole "shopping" process. We could not have been more wrong. We visited Mattress Firm during the Memorial day weekend and were blown away by how easy and smooth they made the process. From the moment we set foot inside, they walked us through various models, identified the pros and cons of each based on our physical needs, and not on any useless sales pitch. They had answers, not based on price, but on our health and needs. We felt so appreciated and understood, and were already leaning towards buying from them. It was my second mattress store for my next one. I initially came in just to lay on a Nectar mattress but got caught up in Adam's explanation of mattresses and sleep in general. He wanted to make sure the Nectar fit my wants and needs, so he showed me, and had me try, other mattress types. His explanations made sense. I told him my back was sore that evening and I'd be back the next day for one final test of mattresses. He said he understood and didn't fight me to make a buying decision that night, as if he KNEW I'd come back. Which I did, and bought the Nectar, which was efficiently delivered 2 days later. First I just wanted to say I don't even have my mattresses yet but I was so impressed with Adam that I had to leave a review already. Last week I had went to another mattress location *coughs* sit n sleep *coughs* and long story short they sold me mattresses they didn't have in stock and lied to me about it way past the scheduled delivery time and I had to continually keep calling them to refund my money that mysteriously had a *glitch* that has "never" happened before and couldn't refund my order until I happened to call them and ask the status on it....*insert not born yesterday emoji* Anyway, I called over to Mattress Firm and spoke to Adam and he told me he had the specific mattress I was looking for in the showroom so I could drag my husband down to check it out and make sure he liked, a mistake I made with the other place and was actually glad for their "once in a life time warehouse system malfunction that has never happened before" so I guess it was kinda of blessing in disguise. Again Adam was so nice and listened to my story and helped us with our purchase. He gave what felt like honest information and told me exactly what to expect. We went here after shopping around for beds at Sit and Sleep just a mile south. This place has a great range of beds, going from very affordable to the luxury sets. Our salesman, Blair, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He readily offered us a discount to seal the deal, which I really appreciated. Additionally they gave us several deals, and a free frame. The delivery was super smooth and the installers took less than ten minutes.
