When I walked in the the Costa Mesa store, Mario welcomed me very professionally and that put me at ease and he let me look for few minutes and then obviously I had questions, and asking him, he answered all of them. The best part of his demonstration was Mario asked me to try different mattresses to see which ones I feel comfortable and the value I liked. After trying few of them, I picked one and Mario explained to me how the mattress is made and the warranties as well. There was no pressure and he made it easy for me to pick my mattress. He also explained the delivery time and the procedure and the delivery crew was courteous as well. Overall I had a great experience. I will recommend if you go there ask for Mario. I'll start by saying that this review is based on the quality of the mattress and warranty process. The people who I dealt with were great. This was my second purchase from OC Mattress and I loved the Capistrano Beach I had previously so I went with the same one when I upgraded in bed size. Even though this is an OC Mattress brand, it was still almost an $1,100 mattress with all the smoke and mirror discounts attached. The mattress started noticeably sagging around the 18 months mark but I was unable to find my receipt at that time. Around the 3 year mark and with more severe sagging, I stumbled upon my receipt and immediately filed a warranty claim. The mattress has nearly 3 inches of sag, as measured by the warranty claims individual. It's without question that this is a faulty mattress with structural issues and should be replaced, however, the claim was denied due to stains... I could understand if there was major soiling that jeopardized the integrity of the mattress, but that's far from the case here. The case here is that we waited a few months to buy a topper so we could determine what, if any thickness topper we wanted, but it always had a sheet. I just have a hard time accepting the fact that a few stains take precedent over a very clear structural issue. So on top of being out $1,100, I'm also out a month of wasted time going through a warranty claim process that could have been resolved with a simple "do you have any stains whatsoever"... it just adds insult to injury here and will be the reason my next purchase is with another retailer who might warranty their products with the slightest bit of integrity. This all fails to mention the back pain and chiropractic care I've been supplementing this faulty mattress with. So in short, be sure to wrap your mattresses up in an impenetrable material or kiss your hard earned cash and time goodbye! read more

My boyfriend and I came here looking for a new Tempur-Pedic and Lauren assisted us with our search. Initially what we wanted was discontinued from the line so Lauren asked us our preferences and narrowed down our options. I personally like a firm bed so she recommended the Contour Elite. We were in the store for less than 10 minute and it didn't take long for us to choose what we wanted. OC mattress offer same day delivery but we opt for next day delivery since we came near closing hour. After doing all the paperwork, my boyfriend stopped by another mattress store to see if they have a better deal (which they did). We came back to Lauren and she was able to accommodate us with the competitor's offer. Moral of the story is don't go to just one mattress store and make your purchase. Lol. Morgan was so helpful!! He's not at all pushy and was incredibly patient dealing with our 87 yr old mother who was purchasing a new mattress. Upon delivery we we found that we had all forgotten to buy a bed frame for one of the two twin beds mom bought. (The other one had an electric tilt frame). We called OC Mattress and Morgan was already gone. They offered to give us the forgotten bed frame but said we had to pick it up and install it ourselves. UGH.... We called Morgan the next day and he felt so bad about the forgotten bed frame. He immediately offered to deliver the bed frame to mom's new home and install it himself! This review is written to save others time, and money. I am out my money but, you don't have to be. Shop elsewhere if you are looking for a product that will live up to its warranty. The sales people are very nice, as they should be. After all they work commission, and they want your money. They are very helpful, until you have made your purchase. Then you are on your own. I purchased a queen size mattress from Orange County Mattress January of 2010, at that time we also purchased a Mattress cover with a 10 year warranty against bed bugs, staining, and so on. I found the mattress springs failing. The mattress cover also failed to prevent staining. I returned to the store, after reading the warranty information to make sure the mattress would be covered. When I arrived in the store, I was greeted by Eric and I explained the situation and informed him with images of what and happened in regards to the mattress, and the mattress cover. He proceeded to initiate the paperwork to get the ball rolling on the replacement mattress. He informed me that I should receive a call in couple of days. It is now Wednesday I had received no call, or email from anyone to process the request to replace the mattress. I pulled the folder from the filing cabinet and found that the warranty paperwork for the mattress, and the mattress cover had conveniently not been placed back in the folder. As I was going to contact the company directly regarding the mattress replacement, now I had to go back down to the store to see what Eric did with the paperwork. Paperwork was most likely destroyed/trashed. I arrived to find he was not working this Wednesday, but I inquired about my paperwork all the same, and about getting the mattress replaced. Turns out that the higher end Englander mattress that Debbie had suggested was no longer available as the company went out of business (per Stephanie). We just bought a queen sized mattress from OC Mattress and are very happy we decided to stop in. John showed us mattresses within our budget and similar comparisons to "name brand" choices. We actually went with an OC Mattress brand mattress because it was a great deal without sacrificing quality. I would recommend checking out their in house brand! Not only was John helpful in keeping us within our budget and knowledgeable about what type of mattress was good based on our lifestyles, BUT he was not pushy. Purchased an expensive Airloome CalKing mattress that was a floor model. I was not told that floor models do not get the standard 60 day sleep trial as you never really know until you sleep on it. We bought a mattress and box springs from OC Mattress. We went several times to make sure we had the right one. The salesman kept stressing things about the warranty. We finally made a choice and it was delivered by two guys that remarked that our frame was perfect....mattress and box spring fit in just great. This was close to the first of the year of 2020. By spring we noticed that the mattress was breaking down on the sides. We called OC Matress and they sent out someone to make a report. He said indeed it was sloping down and sometimes that happens in these hand made mattresses. A few weeks later a report was sent to us. It was blamed on our frame. I've that the frame for a number of years and it was metal not wood like in the report. Also, it never did that to other mattresses that I have purchased in the past. When I called the company they were rude to me kept the frame story and said it was the fault of the frame. No warranty. I purchased a mattress from OC Mattress more than a year ago now. I am still sleeping on that mattress, but we still have to use a 2-inch thick latex foam topper to get a good night's sleep. Let me explain. We tried out a number of different beds and stores. In the end it was between this store and Custom Comfort (I REALLY wish we had spent more and gone with them). We had tried a few different beds out on the showroom floor and ended up going with a brand name that "presidents sleep on". When we received the mattress the next day (fast delivery, I must say) and laid down on it we knew immediately that something was wrong. The mattress we had laid on at the store was soft and fluffy yet firm enough to give us proper support. The mattress we received was hard as a rock. We called the store immediately and read off the number and they assured us that the wrong mattress had not been delivered. They also assured us that it would soften up over time. After the first night on the mattress I knew there was no way I could sleep on it again. I woke up sore on both my hips and shoulders, with about half of my body numb from lack of circulation. We promptly returned in person to the store where the person that helped us was apologetic but unhelpful. We tried out the floor model again and confirmed that it felt NOTHING like the one in our house. The only option we were given was to pay more money (20% of the purchase price) to get a cheaper bed and have them haul away our unwanted bed to the dump. We opted not give them a penny more and instead got a mattress topper. I wouldn't be so mad if it wasn't for the fact that the floor model felt nothing like the bed we received. In the end it was a horrible experience. I paid a lot of money to be less comfortable than I was before. Every time I make the bed I remember my experience at OC Mattress and wait for the day I have another 2 grand burning a hole in my pocket, so I can put this behind me. read more

We bought the San Juan Capistrano pillow top in a Cal King 8 years ago (their brand) after dropping over $8,000 on a Hastens mattress that we HATED. It was a game changer! A few years later, we bought another king set, this time the Dana Point (also their brand) pillow top for a guest room. Our guests rave about it. We just worked with Eric again and he helped us choose a queen Simmons Beauty Rest Emerald Bay pillow top for our 12 year old daughter. He again was very helpful, NOT PUSHY, and informative. He set up delivery for less than 24 hours from now and according to my time preference. He also didn't charge tax or delivery. I don't know why some reviews are negative. We have gone back to OC Mattress 3 times now over the years. Their own brand mattress are top quality and they offer the name brands all the other big stores do, for less. I bought my mattress at the Laguna Hills location but I'm writing a review for Jason because the guy is a superstar in terms of customer service. I had a great buying experience at the Laguna Hills location. David was helpful and didn't do the hard sell. He just left me be while I tried to determine why mattress could help my aching back. David did mention that he was going on holiday as soon as it was quitting time. We agreed on a somewhat fair price and the transaction was completed. I bought my tempurpedic around 5pm ish, David said that they would deliver between 6pm-9pm. It was approaching 8pm, so I called the Laguna Hills store. Unfortunately, no answer, I believe David was probably half way to Mexico. I then called their customer service #, unfortunately, no one answered either(remember, its memorial day). So I took a chance in calling this store. After a few rings, Jason picked up. I just quickly told him that I was expecting an order and my concerns if it was going to be delivered by this evening. I also called because it was approaching the 11th hour and didn't want to sleep on the floor. Jason, being the (my)hero that he is, took my info and said he'd call the dispatcher and delivery driver to see the status. About 10-15 mins later, he called me back just to tell me that he didn't forget about me and will call me back once he hears from his drivers. Another five mins past and Jason called me again to let me know that the drivers were about 10 minutes out and that the driver was going to call me with an exact ETA. Driver calls to let me know he's outside, deliver the new Tempurpedic that I'm writing this review on. Jason, I appreciate your help and you certainly went above and beyond the call of duty.
