I'm not sure why Joe is having difficulties, but I used their on-line scheduling tool to book an "in-home" appointment at our home. I received a call shortly thereafter where Joe asked for clarification (not sure why he was confused) where I explained our room and our needs. Joe said we needed to come into their showroom to see his examples, and to bring measurements. I said OK and I would reschedule for us to visit him. Today I rescheduled, only to get an email message from Joe once again asking for clarification on the appointment. He was confused as to whether it was in-home or at his facility. I wrote that due to his last call, we would come visit him with our measurements. He once again was confused. He said that I made an "in-home" appointment (this was just rescheduling the original in-house appointment). I once again said I would bring our measurements to him and see his examples. I said I just rescheduled the original appointment, and we would come to him (as he requested). Now he's once again confused and saying he was out of town and wouldn't be able to come see us. I again said we would come to him... As he did the first time we talked on the phone, he kept talking over me and interrupting my thought process. I don't know why he does this, but by now I'm thoroughly frustrated and said to forget it - we'll find another supplier. Too much frustration and confusion on his part. If we were to go forward with using them, who knows how confusing and frustrating that would be... Not for us any longer! read more

A really great experience buying our Murphy bed at Irvine Murphy bed. Joe greeted us and gave us all the information needed to purchase our beautiful Murphy bed, along with a nice tour showing us all the great options! The bed was delivered quickly and set up for us by two great guys. We've had the bed for maybe 10 months or so and I still walk by the guest room and admire the clean look of the bed and the room. Joe Bernal of Irvine was a superior representative of his company and an absolute savior for us. Our problems began when our Murphy bed frame pulled away from the wall to which it was attached but only in the sheet rock. We were unaware of this situation, and having raised and lowered the bed many times, we were confident it was properly installed by our movers. WRONG! Turned out we both were sleeping in the bed when it crashed down making the sound of a cannon. The legs at the bottom of the bed were crushed. When we reached to Joe, even though we'd brought our bed to our house from out of state, he came out very soon, assessed the situation, and over the course of a couple of days, he did many things to restore our bed to a safe, usable condition. He fabricated a new leg apparatus and even provided finishing materials for the wood bar connecting the legs. He advised that we should permit him to notch the outer edge of the frame next to the baseboard so that the bed would fit snugly against the wall. We had Joe do this adjustment after which he carefully attached "L" brackets into studs. Oh, btw, he also patched the holes where the previous brackets were attached. Joe is the ideal example of someone dedicated to customer service. So, even though we didn't buy our Murphy bed from Irvine Murphy Beds, we would heartily we encourage you to consider them, because they appear to make every effort to help their customers. read more

Beds are low in quality and high in price. I've been sleeping on it since and it has been awful. I'm constantly rolling around trying to find a good spot. The bed has also taken a 'shape' to it and is no longer stiff around my hips; more of a mushy sponge. I wake up every 2-3 hours and roll to another section of 'my side' trying to find a stiffer area for my back. Recently it has gotten incredibly worse. I think the bed has given up trying to re-stiffen throughout the day. I would not recommend this bed to anyone. My doctor has told me this bed is the cause of the sudden lower back issues I've been experiencing recently. BUY SOMETHING ELSE! read more
