I've had the worst experience in year's with Mattress firm. It's been a month since I've canceled my order because of a change in delivery date 2 times! In 27 days and no refund after paying in full in cash the day of the order I'm going to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to share this horrible experience. Not so much for the store but rather the warranty. If you want to file a warranty claim you have to tear the bed apart, take several pictures and then upload them, and THEN they will make a determination as to the claim...OR.....you can PAY someone to come out to your house and take pictures for them to use. The sales people are nice, the place is clean and there is plenty of stock. The main issue seems to be the staff has a high rotation of managers. After purchasing a $1400 bed system the matress became bent and one of the three options, one of which is me doing all the measuring/photo/submitting paperwork for their "investigation" to determine if the matress failed and only after I pay $50 in advance. No-one has an answer why it is my responsibilty to figuare out if their product is worth keeping. Another option is to buy another matress which they are more than happy to allow me to buy. I'm not impressed. I won't be back without a solid agreement to the workmanship of their products. read more

Mario, is outstanding! I got an amazing pillow from the Grossmont location and it was the very last one. I called other locations to ask if they had any in stock, but they didn't check. When I called Mario, he immediately checked their inventory and held the very last one for me. I have to give a shout out to Rocky Trevino! I bought a mattress at Sleep Train 3 years ago, got a new bedroom set and the headboard did not match up to my bedframe, so we were unable to attach it. I called the El Cajon store and talked to Rocky and explained my problem. He took the time to research it, look up the bedframe I had bought and came up with a solution, extenders. I went here looking for a bed. The associate Scott was working and he was actively engaged in my shopping experience. He asked what type of bed I was looking for and different kinds of firm, soft and hard. We were easily able to find my "firm" and he explained the different kinds of mattresses and what they did. He was very clear and had a lot of knowledge. He was clean cut, well experienced and explained all of the financing plans as well that they had. I was very happy with my visit-he recommended products to protect the mattress from drink spills, etc. It was $30-I ended up getting it. He explained the warranty that the mattress had and scheduling a delivery time was incredibly easy. I am very glad that I had this experience. Had lunch at Fletcher Plaza... wife drug me into Mattress Firm... coulda sworn we weren't gonna but a mattress... then we met Janet. We were just gonna lay down on some mattresses in A/C... but then she gave us pillows and something that looked like a big old dryer sheet to keep the pillows clean (I'm bald ) ... and man... don't know what it was... but long story short... we realized we needed a new mattress... apparently 17 years on the same one is bad for your back. The thing is amazing. After it was delivered... I laid down to rest my eyes and give it a test... woke up an hour and a half later. I must of tried 10 different beds here but they have such a wide selection of beds that I didn't try. From way soft to rock hard they have a model for you to sample.
