GREAT customer service and best of all - we LOVE our new bed! Sean was so helpful with buying our bed. He let us know there was a special 50% off on a premium bed. There was a limited supply and we bought it that night! We had been thinking about getting a sleep number for YEARS. We considered other brands but sleep numbers warranty is really good so we wanted a reputable company with a long history of good customer service. And we have our new bed and it is perfect! My husband has his side set at 90 and I have mine set at 40. lol In the past we had a harder mattress for him and it always hurt my shoulder and hip when I slept on my side. Not anymore. :) One caveat I should add - the bed does off gas. We had to strip it and let it air out during the day for a few days. But that's a small price to pay for a good night's sleep. OH and they offer an FSA letter so we are getting reimbursed from our FSA account. And one more positive - their delivery team was really professional and definitely better than other companies that have delivered furniture. They wore booties to protect our floors and set up our bed and showed us how to work everything. We're very happy with our sleep number bed. My friend and I wandered into this store after lunch as she was on the quest for a pillow that wouldn't "hurt her ear" (I know, right?) I don't write a lot of reviews, but Big John Valdez (I'm not just calling him that as I'm on the bigger side myself, but that's literally what his business card says lol) was amazing. Sometimes you meet someone and they are just so charming and wonderful that you need to spend $200 on a pillow. WARNING...ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CARE FOR YUOU AFTER PURCHASE. We purchased a bed for $3,000 at the end of June. Last Saturday (Oct 6th) one of the mattresses popped and completely deflated and will not re-inflate. I called but Sleep Number has no customer service open on Sundays. I then called this stores location at 1:45pm on Sunday and spoke with a lady that told me the Manager has spare parts in the back and will call me shortly, that was 18 hours ago and I have not heard anything from them. I just called customer service again and all of their lines were busy and I was disconnected so I opened up a chat window. I was told through the chat window that they can send someone out in 2 weeks. What am I supposed to do until then? I DO NOT recommend this product or this location for their complete lack of customer support and service. read more

I recently spent over 12K at sleep number. One of the things purchased was a set of dual temp climate control. We were under the impression these were under the 100 day sleep warranty. We don't like them and wanted to return them. Guess what... no they are only exchangeable up to 30 days for merchandise. I asked for an exception since we are outside of 30 days but within 100. No go.. and the person on my chat disconnected me when I asked how to escalate the issue. Extremely frustrating based on the size of the purchase we made. At this point a;; we want to do is exchange for bedding but they won't even talk to us about that. read more

The follow-up and customer service by the Sleep number bed folks as a whole is very good, they helped us with getting set up on the isleep app and with other issues when the mattress pad arrived damaged (they shipped us another one within a week. At the Sleep Number store, Jonathan helped us out because the remote for the bed got tangled up in the sheets and was washed! He gave us a loaner at no charge so that we could properly utilize our bed. He's very knowledge about all the beds and accessories, and since I'm a side sleeper, helped me pick out the perfect pillow! Sounds trivial, but really makes a difference in quality sleep. We bought a sleep number bed from Jonathan about 4 years ago. The bed has changed my life. I am a pretty fit guy but sitting on the couch reading or watching TV my neck would get stiff and I would get back pain from the way I was slumped on the couch when I was just laying around. With the new flex top bed it's much more comfortable to read and watch TV. I don't have near the back and neck issues that I used to. Jonathan really took care of us, answering all of our questions and being extremely patient with us. It took us TWO DAYS in the store to decide to what to purchase. He was so patient and didn't get frustrated with us just laying around the store for hours. Now, even though we live in Thousand Oaks, we always go to his store because the customer service is SO GREAT. There is no one better! read more

I didn't wake up this morning knowing I was going to do 2 things. 1. To purchase a higher end Sleep Number bed. 2. To be inspired to give a 5 star review for the experience We needed a new bed, that was a given. Our 10+ year old bed has lived a good life but it's time to retire the old timer. We popped into the Sleep Number store at The Collection in Oxnard just to check out a few mattresses. We were greeted by the manager Jonathan who was friendly and very knowledgeable. He had us 'sample' a few beds (ie, lie in them) and each bed had it's own feel and features, such as foot warmers, adjustable tilt (head and feet) and even a split mattress not to mention the Sleep Number adjustments to firmness. (oh and even a massage feature!) Anyway an hour later we had chosen the i9 split mattress bed with new pillows and sheets (unbelievably comfortable!!!) and will get to enjoy this beauty just before Christmas! read more

Don't buy the bed bases from Sleep Number. They're very expensive and if you want to return it, they will not refund your money, all sales are final! They should have been more up front about this when we asked about the 100 day trial. My advice to you: read the fine print before buying! Shame on Sleep Number for such deceptive sales practices. I see other reviews about the customer service behind the scenes, But we have to remember this is a yelp page for this location abd the customer service in store. I was helped by Matt, and then by Jonathon. Both experiences were great. I feel educated and excited for my new mattress to come in a couple weeks. They are made to order! Which is awesome. I've had a Sleep Number bed for a few years now and I freaking love it. I have scoliosis so my back is in constant pain but the bed I purchased definitely makes it a lot easier to sleep and night. This location really stood out from the other stores I've been in because it is HUGE! The staff working there that day was also really friendly and pretty easy on the eyes ( I kid I kid, sort of). We are very sorry to give this rating. We had been thinking about buying a Sleep Number for many years. We are completely disappointed with the customer service, which is basically non-existent. The sales team were awesome! After that everything fell into a black hole. Not the store's fault, completely corporate management failure. 1) ordered 24 October promised delivery no less than 4 weeks. This was not a custom bed, simply a style on the floor King C4. 2) complete order NEVER appeared on website. Only the 2 pillows we took from the store. 3) few days later we get a recorded voice mail about % interest being due on "the promotion" now - we financed the bed. I called the bank and was told the promotion was the pillows. I immediately paid for them - was told "one time only" I would not be charged a fee for phone pay! 4) Called special "customer service" number (never on hold less than 30mins) and was told "new computer system" problems were why order not visible on web. 5) 6 calls, two disconnections, one chat and many emails later finally figured out: a) bed and base come from different companies. b) "home delivery" comes from another company", c) mattress made in Utah ( not China which we suspected). 6) at 3 weeks was told by chat agent it would be another 4 to 8 weeks before we would receive the bed. NOW and only then we start checking Facebook, Twitter etc to see the many complaints about this company. We decide we cannot trust the Sleep Number brand and on the end of 4th week go to cancel the order. On hold for 42 minutes with customer service and told had to deal with a "returns" department and transferred to another hold for 23 minutes. Once the man answers, I told him we want to cancel. He says okay and told us he did. He did not even ask us why! I requested something in writing, which he emailed a different copy of our invoice showing only the pillows! I requested a confirmation of the bed cancellation and as of this writing still do not have it. Therefore this review and other social media comments. Then looked at Better Business Bureau and found hundreds of complaints. Sent registered letter to Sleep Number corp. And Synchrony Bank and great sales team just to be safe. If bed arrives we will refuse to accept. Best example of poor Management we have ever experienced. LESSON LEARNED: Never make a major purchase before checking with BBB. We walked in today since we parked closest to Sleep Number. I was going to Starbucks but I've had on my mind for a few years about getting a new bed. I haven't had a new one in 12 or more years. I read about the deals for sleep number coming up for Labor day so I was pretty excited to see there was one local. I went in w/my fiancé and my wild child who is two year old. We tested many beds but ended up letting a KingFlexFit2, iLE Sleep IQ. SAVED OVER $3000 with the sale too.This bed was amazing and you can adjust from left and right. I have had a back injury for two years and use about 7-8 pillows to put behind me to get comfortable sitting up and bed watching tv. This one will move me up and adjust my legs as well. I wish I had this bed before surgery. I can not wait for it to get here next week and they ship take my old bed with no fee. If it wasn't for Big John, I don't thing we would of purchased it that day. I probably would of shopped around and been in my same situation a year from now. Big John was so patience with us since our wild child was all over the place. He wasn't pushy at all which I loved. That's when I walk out usually. He is very knowledgeable and we ended up purchasing pillows, sheets, and this amazing mattress cover that has this cooling stuff in it. The mattress cover has a 10 year warranty and that was a no brainer. The beds have a 25 year warranty. I will go back there to Big John to purchase any other pillows or sheets just because his service was superb and we felt like we made a friend rather than just a purchase.
