We stopped by for a couple drinks and appetizers. Service was okay. Ambiance is an industrial brewery vibe. The beer was good but we didn't find anything amazing. - Shishito peppers (4/5): Great flavor but omg some of them are insanely spicy. Like way too much, and we like spice. - Jalapeño poppers (4/5): These were delicious, creamy, crispy bacon. The sauce was a perfect pairing as well.

I came here on a Friday afternoon around 3:45pm and got seated right away. We sat at a patio area which was shaded very nicely. Our server was very attentive and took our order right away. We didn't have a lot of time to hang out so I got a flight, my wife got a rootbeer and we shared a chicken appetizer. Everything came very quickly. The flight was very tasty. You can see the picture of everything I got. The hazy IPA was my favorite. It also paired well with the crazy good chicken appetizer. The chicken was very moist but it was crispy on the outside. The breading also had some seasoning to it as well. It didn't need sauce but it came with a sweet chili sauce and a type of mustard. Both were very good. I wish I had another chance to come back and try other things but what I did have it was BOMB. Definitely reccomened this spot if you're in this area!

Stopped in to Maui Brewing for a drink and an appetizer. The brewery is large and has an open warehouse feel. The beers are great and they have a good distribution of options. Definitely would go back and try some more of their signature beers next time I am in town.

We came between the lunch crowd and dinner crowd. We had about a 30 min wait but the bar was open seating. We had a couple drinks at the bar, hazy IPA's, Maui mule and for me, I had a Virgin piña colada. Mine was so yummy and sweet. The men liked the hazy IPA's and my friend said the mule was marginal. Holly was great! We asked for seating at the bar facing the beach and the hostess was going to put us at a table next to the empty seating we requested. We did end up where we requested. It took a while for them to take our order but the guys already had a drink (from the bar) and my friend and I checked out the shopping at the hotel. When we came back and waited a little longer, they finally took our order. My husband and I shared the fish tacos and salad. The tacos were amazing. The little red chili on top was pretty spicy but had great flavor. The salad was simple and good but the mango vinaigrette was delicious. They ordered more drinks and really liked them. Gin in ice, Yoga Pants and 2 Mai tai's. Although it was a little rough at the beginning with service (I don't think all the staff was there before happy hour), it was fun and delicious. Our server, Ethan was pretty funny and very patient. The view was beautiful and we got to watch the cruise boats come in, kids doing flips on the sand and people diving off black rock. We will definitely be back but may try another Maui Brewing location. This location was near where we were staying.

We've been there 2x during 2 separate visits to Maui and this place is consistent. I like it because it is not overly crowded. This year we didn't have to wait at all. Walked right in and got seated during normal dinner time. Last year we had to wait a while though. Pineapple beer is always a good choice. Pretzel is warm and soft and the best part is the beer cheese dip.

We have come to MBC every year for about 7 years. Sadly, I think this will be our last time coming. We came in, it's maybe 20% to capacity. We were seated in the back corner. I get that as a table of 5 it might be harder to seat us but when the restaurant isn't at capacity or even close why not seat us in the center? We couldn't see other ppl or the beer menu or anything. We asked to move to the other tables and were told the other waitress would be much slower service if we switched. Tbf that's pretty crap service. The customer shouldn't need to hear all that. Why not work with your fellow waitress and say: hey I know this is your table/section, but my customer wants to move here and we're closing soon so it's unlikely someone else will come in (for reference, no one did) or maybe share some tips? So we stayed in the corner out of fear for slow and crap service. The food here isn't epic. It's pub food. Sometimes it hits after a few drinks but mostly it's just typical bar food. Nothing special. The beet salad is good as usual but I can't recommend getting the chicken on it. Mine had freezer burn so it had that weird crunchy rubber texture. But still edible. The MBC sliders were good except for the 1/4 red onion slab. A raw red onion isn't typically something ppl ask for but they sure did add it. Lol. Luckily we were able to take it off easily. But then it's also wasteful so... The waitress asked if we wanted dessert which we were going to partake in (they have 3 options) and after saying yes, we learned they only had cheesecake left lol. Why ask if we want dessert? Girl just say "anyone want cheesecake?" Definitely some coachable moments for service here.

Pretty casual restaurant with open area seating. Very welcoming vibe but wasn't crowded around lunch time. The mushroom swiss burger was very good and sizeable. The patty melt was also pretty good but I'd recommend the burger. All four beer samples were great as well but the number 1 is the Surf Gourd saison beer which was delicious. Both bartenders we talked to were friendly and had nice conversations.

Hubby had this place on his must-do list for our Maui trip. After a morning of snorkeling, we came here on a Friday afternoon. Easy parking lot, friendly beertender who offered us tastes of the beers we wanted. I liked my coconut stout and he enjoyed the mango sticky rice beer. Good portions are giant. Steak nachos were great and so was the beet salad. Nice open space with a refrigerated strip for your glass.

What a great pit stop in Lahaina. Was driving the western half of Maui and had planned on lunch at Maui Brewing Co. There is something more special about enjoying what a good brewery has to offer on location. Shared sampler flights of many of their beers along Hawaiian style pub foods. The Pub Plate packed with Pulled Pork and Macaroni Salad was just the refuel that I needed.

Brewed Over Having just arrived in Maui and checked into our AirBnB, we were all in need of some sustenance. So we drove out in hopes of finding a quick bite, but our first options were packed, and we eventually settled on Maui Brewing (MB). This is a satellite MB location based in a nondescript strip mall not too far from Kahana Village Beach and a few other resorts. The Good: *Beer is freshly made as their main brewery is a short 20-30min drive away. *They appeared to also have the full complement of beers, including their year-round brews, as well as seasonal and even hard seltzers on-tap. *My son enjoyed his Mac and cheese, and everyone else seemed to think their food was decent to good. The Meh: *Fresh on the island, I really wanted an island specialty and their Loco Moco was a big fail. The beef patty was dry and underseasoned, the egg was a bit overcooked, and the rice was, well, rice... The Ugly: *Server was either (A) high af, (B) drunk, (C) completely apathetic, or (D) all of the above. My money is on D... This seems like a "regulars" type of joint, so tourists probably stick out and aren't really welcome. *The space itself is dark, dingy, and depressing--the complete opposite of their main brewery/restaurant, which we loved for the record. TLDR: Unless you're a local yokel, then don't bother coming to this dump. Stick to their main brewery where the customer service is terrific and the vibes much more welcoming.

I have to say, as a craft beer devotee, I'm pleasantly happy to see such great variety in the brews here! I have enjoyed the food menu as well! This place made me reminisce as if I was at a brewery back home. (aka.. not a tourist) If you like craft beers this location is worth trying as they have more seasonal selections than at Kaanapali.

Great Happy hour, especially for the food!! Came by this location for their 3:30 to 4:30 happy hour since we were staying on kanapali beach, and it was very convenient. I love the Maui brew co beers! The happy hour is $12 for flatbreads, that were all delicious. Apps are also half off, and we got the cheese fries. We ordered a few beers, but the happy hour for them is nothing special. It's only $1 off per beer, so not really any value in going for happy hour. The food was awesome though! Next time in Maui, this is another must stop. If we plan to eat, 3:30 is the right time! If we are just planning to stop for a drink, I think you can go at anytime and it's fine. Beers seemed on the pricey side, so you can also just find them at the local supermarket and drink by the pool at the resort :-). I do love Maui brew co beer though.... Shirts are $30, and my wife told me that I have too many of them. Therefore, for $30, she didn't let me purchase :-(. If they lower them to $20, i bet she'll agree for a purchase and I'll be doing lots of free advertising as i wear it!

3.5/5 overall - Service was friendly and checked in, but food was okay. They updated their menus a bit, it's bar food as expected. Definitely would come for the drinks

Are they open Sundays for football? Tried calling the restaurant with no luck. Hours show open Monday to Saturday but I see a review that someone watched a game.

I went on a Sunday and they had a game on! Now this was a few weeks ago (Sept. 18th) but I think you should be good!

Are there tvs to watch a game?

Yup. Numerous TV's at bar and spaced all around.

Are there merchandise and or hats available for purchase?

Yes, the hats and other paraphernalia are readily available for purchase inside the store.

Do they open early for NFL games on Sundays?

We are closed on Sunday & Monday

Are high chairs available for kids?

There were lots of kids seated at tables around us. I believe there were high chairs. It is a family restaurant with a keiki (child's) menu so it is difficult to think they wouldn't have them.

We would have ordered more drinks if anyone had checked on us. And the bathrooms? Absolutely disgusting. Dirty, poorly maintained, and honestly made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the place. Extremely Disappointing Experience, Especially for a Montage Property!…read more We dined at Cane & Canoe last Monday Jan 5th and unfortunately had one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had--particularly given the prestige of the Montage brand. We planned this dinner carefully. Reservations were made well in advance, originally through our hotel (The Ritz-Carlton), and I personally spoke with Cane & Canoe twice beforehand to ensure everything was correct. The reservation confusion began before we even arrived in Hawaii. On Thursday, the restaurant called to confirm a Saturday reservation, which we never had--we were arriving Sunday and had booked Monday. I immediately called back, asked them to cancel Saturday, reconfirm Monday for three people (2 adults & 1 toddler), noted that it was two birthdays (my husband and my young son), and requested a high chair. Despite this, I received confirmation text for both reservations on Monday morning and had now 2 reservation on Monday a party of 2 and a party of 3, I received a call for confirmation, which I then clarified everything one more time before arrival. When we arrived for our Monday dinner at 5:30pm: * There was no acknowledgment of the birthdays * There was no high chair available, and it took quite some time for staff to locate one * The service was inattentive from the start Our server (his name on his name tag was Juan, however went by John, or Steve--I honestly don't recall) appeared disengaged and uninterested in being there. Rather than focusing on service, he spent time telling us what wasn't available: * Several menu items were "out" * A wine my husband ordered was unavailable * He claimed there was a pineapple shortage across the island, which was baffling given that our hotel had plenty of pineapple available all week This constant emphasis on scarcity set a negative tone and felt unnecessary. More importantly, service was extremely lacking. Our water and wine glasses sat empty. No one checked on us. We had to flag down other staff for assistance. There was no effort to make the evening special--or even pleasant. This wasn't just "bad service"; it actively impacted what was meant to be a birthday celebration for my husband and son. We are frequent Montage guests at other properties, and this was our first time in this part of Maui. While we were not staying at the Montage Maui, we chose Cane & Canoe expecting the level of hospitality the brand is known for. What we experienced was shockingly below standard. After dinner, I went to the concierge to share the experience. They apologized but could not do much beyond that and suggested I speak with management (I didn't have a desire at that time to spend more time on the negative), but instead I told them I would write a review! For the price point, the brand reputation, and the expectations that come with a Montage property, this restaurant falls incredibly short. The food itself was unremarkable--but the lack of service and care was the real issue. I would not return to Cane & Canoe, would not recommend it, and honestly would think twice about staying at the Montage Maui in the future based on this experience alone. Extremely disappointing.

My cousins ordered cocktails and our server was so kind to let them know if they weren't happy with it, they could exchange it which they did. That was so buttery delicious and small enough to make you want more! The homemade taro rolls with butter, oil and honey was a nice accompaniment. Our second course was just right portion wise and savory. My cousin even said he was full, which never happens since he loves to eat! We enjoyed the 48-hour Wagyu Prime Rib which was so tender and easily cut with a butter knife. Yummy dollops of potato purée and broccolini were beautifully placed around the meat. My other cousin enjoyed his Shrimp Scampi with fresh house made tagliatelle, capers, Kula tomato and basil. The dessert course was a great way to end our meal. I got the Pineapple Upside Down cake with a scoop of Ube Ice Cream, biscotti crumble and Kula Rum Caramel. My cousin's panna cotta was made with local Maui Kuia Chocolate and chantilly cream with a tuile that had light sprinkle of black pepper. Overall, a wonderful experience and only $79 for the 3 courses! We will definitely be back.
