Great spot to gather for food and flights! It is quite popular at dinner so come outside of meal hours if you want to be seated right away. We saw the line and decided to get food down the road and came back later for flights. This was a good idea as we were seated right away upon our return. I liked that their flights allowed you to taste as few or as many tasters as you wanted so there was no pressure at all. My friends and I enjoyed our evening out here and of course had to get gifts at the front on our way out. After settling into our oceanside room (much thanks to my wife for finding us a beautiful Airbnb), we decided to take a walk and see if we could find a spot for lunch + drinks. Fortunately, we stumbled upon Maui Brewing. Upon entering, we were greeted by an employee that requested to see our vaccination cards and quickly sat us afterwards. Upon being seated, she offered us menus, and we both elected to order nachos to be paired with sample flights of beer (we love the ability to sample multiple offerings without being pressured to down a 10-12oz glass of one specific brew). I chose the following options for my sampler: Lemonade Seltzer, Pineapple Mana, Bikini Blonde Lager, and the Karoshi Rice Lager. Out of the four, I fancied the Pineapple Mana. Traditionally, I prefer fruit forward brews, so I was a little disappointed that there were not many fruit forward options. Maui Brewing is so good that we had to come back multiple times on our trip. It's rare that you find a full service brewery with both great beer AND food - and Maui Brewing excels in both. At the time we visited, we tried many of their beers and loved them all. The Imperial Coconut Stout was incredible. All of the IPA's were top notch too. We even tried some of their cocktails - one of which was mixed with some of their house made seltzer. You can't go wrong with any of their drinks. The food is also worth sticking around for. We got three apps spread between our visits - the ahi tuna poke stack, the fried Brie, and the pork nachos - all were great. The poke was super fresh. We also got the fish taco and one of the burger entrees - and while they were tasty too, we felt like the appetizers were the star of the show. The salad was fresh and the flatbread was big with a gooey texture to the dough which I love. The coconut stout on tap was delicious but the atmosphere lacked in appeal with the industrial theme taken a bit too far in my opinion. Regardless of where I go on vacation I must visit a local brewery. After checking out the map I learned we were only a few miles away from Maui brewing. My two cousins and I went there for lunch yesterday. The entire experience was amazing! We each jad a few beers (flights and full pints) along with three appetizers. We had the nachoes with pork, the spicy wings and the fried brie. All 3 dishes were so good! As entrees we ordered the brosket plate, fresh fish sandwich and the teriyaki bowl (no meat added). All three meals were excellent and we ended up having leftovers. The server was very friendly, attentive and informative when it came to the menu. We all bought a few souveniers (growlers, tshirts) which were able to be purchased on the way out. I highly recommend visiting for beers or lunch when in the area. Terrible Service! We had 8 plus a toddler. Server came to take the drink order and was given 4 total tables that appeared well spaced time wise. They started to my left and ended on my right, skipping me. They came back and I said I needed a drink still. They took food orders and skipped me again. I got my orders in and asked for extra sour cream for the nachos, they charged it and never brought it. We had to stop people and ask for refills, they weren't offered. They attempted to bring drinks to the wrong table and even placed desserts we didn't order in front of us... then removed them and took them to the right table. We split the bill. I wasn't shown my charges and he just took my card and swiped, I asked if I was charged for the sour cream we never got and he said yes. He said he could get a manager but I was over it and not going to ask for a refund of a couple of dollars, when the whole experience was bad. The food was good. The views and ambiance are great. Food at breweries in general are usually a lot better from my experience, especially at this price point. Wings have a nice spice but they're a bit dry and not much sauce. The fish and chips were actually the best thing we ordered. The fish wasn't overly breaded and it was juicy. I'd skip on the pub burger, unless you want a normal burger it's nothing special. Nachos meh, I'm from SoCal so I get spoiled with many different kinds of loaded nachos. The nachos here with chicken brings you to $20... definitely not worth it in my opinion. It's loaded with beans, lots of beans and barely any chicken. The tortilla chips were also half burnt? All the fries were also over fried, they seemed old and refried. Great place to visit while you're in this area, we came here because we were on a mission for a brewery. Once we arrived we were able to put our name down for a 30 minute wait around 5pm and was seated roughly around 5:30pm. What was nice about our experience is we were seated by the beer menu so that we could see easier. As seen in the photo. Our server (Kavi) was also nice he gave us recommendations for our flights. And I got to say, the Chee Hoo! Was my favorite of the night. There is no way this level of living and dead bugs and their abundant poop was a secret to anyone working there. While in Maui on vacation I fell in love with the Big Swell IPA and The Coconut Hiwa Porter which were seemingly served everywhere on the island. Before we headed to the airport to return to reality I insisted on stopping by the brewery for lunch. While the food was pretty good for pub food, obviously the real stars here were all on tap. The chicharrones and beer cheese dip was one of my favorite thing I had here. The dip was almost borderline too thick but the fresh chicharrones were absolutely amazing and something I have not ever encountered at a restaurant before, so definitely worth a try. We also got a side of the shishito peppers which were sadly not as good as I hoped they would be, but were still decent. While we were in Maui, we thought it would be fun to check out the original location of The Maui Brewing Company. The place was hopping! The biggest challenge for me is to find a meal that I am able to eat due to my multiple food allergies. The bartender and kitchen staff were super patient and worked with me in order to find something on their menu that I can eat. I ended up with a cheeseburger and a side of rice. They even gave me some extra cheese to put on my rice. The burger was cooked to perfection. The beer tasted fantastic. I loved that you can sample any of the beers. We were very excited to try Maui brewing as we LOVE Kona brewing and thought it would be another great experience. Unfortunately it seems we came to the wrong place. We later found at that this location is more of a tap room and the actually brewery is up the road, wish we went there! This place was hot, the staff behind the bar seemed grumpy and the pizza was subpar. The only reason this place didn't get a lower rating from me was because of the wonderful greeting we got from the hostess Kyle. He was the only saving grace for this place. The other staff just seemed to hate their job, which is very rare to see at a brewery. Anyways we left promptly after happy hour and didn't come back despite this place being very close to our hotel.
