Chicken teriyaki plate, volcano fries, potato/Mac salad.

Absolutely the best teriyaki we have ever had. I'm from California. We are here on vacation and wanted something to eat. We looked up this place and it looked good! The service was 10/10. The owner kept asking if we needed anything. He was very friendly and attentive. We got the volcano fries with their homemade aioli sauce 10/10. We also got their potato/Mac salad 10/10! Their chicken teriyaki bowls 10/10. Overall this place is great and would visit again!

Teriyaki chicken and potato Mac salad. So yummy!

Yum!! Very generous portions and the food is so fresh and tasty. I got the teriyaki chicken with white rice and a side of the potato Mac salad. Huge portions!! They use chicken breast for the teriyaki chicken which is so nice if you like a leaner option! Delicious!

My family and I enjoyed another delicious lunch at Maui Teriyaki recently. We enjoy both their Teriyaki and Fish & Chips. On this most recent trip, we all opted for Fish & Chips. We placed our order and snagged a table outside to enjoy our lunch. I ordered the Cod & Jus Fries, my wife had the Calamari and Garlic Fries, our oldest son had the Seared Ahi and our youngest son ordered the Cod with Volcano Fries. Portion size is plentiful and they brought the food to us outside. All the dishes were cooked just right and delicious. The staff were friendly and honest. It was nice to sit on the bench outside and in the shade, since it was a fairly warm day.

I visited Maui Teriyaki for dinner, eager for an authentic Hawaiian "plate lunch," and ordered the chicken teriyaki. It was served in a classic rectangular paper tray lined with checkered paper, adding a nostalgic touch. The chicken was high-quality, tender, and flavorful, but the teriyaki sauce was three times sweeter than I prefer, overpowering the dish. I also got the large coleslaw, which was delightfully fresh and crunchy--a perfect non-fried side, especially after indulging in fried foods during my vacation. I recommend this spot but suggest requesting the teriyaki sauce on the side to control the sweetness. Oh, and here's the updated menu board.

This is a cool place to go for a tasty casual meal. The poke bowl was excellent. It was flavored expertly. It was even better than the chicken teriayki. It was good. I thought the sauce was a tad too sweet. The service was excellent. I wish there was a 4.5 stars. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. I want to try the fish and chips!

The inside was very hot, was looking forward to having a glass of wine or champagne with my Lunch but no alcohol was Sold Here. But we decided to eat here anyway, They Bring the food To the outside patio seating. The portions were small but the food was delicious, good portions for a snack or small appetites. An bit on the expensive side $40.00 with tip and 2 waters. The great thing that is close to my heart Is that they are eco friendly The utensils are wooden not plastic!!! Way to go !! Worth the price to safe the ocean !!

I don't know how this place has such good reviews. I got the chicken teriyaki and it is maybe a thigh's worth of meat on rice with no salad in a tiny dish and very little sauce and very unflavorful. I ordered it to go and tipped very well but wasn't offered a fork or napkins so I ended up in my hotel with neither. Napkins aren't really required since there's so little sauce.

Maui Teriyaki and Maui Fish N Chips are out of the same location/restaurant. I usually get the fish n' chips & my other half usually goes with the teriyaki. You can find this little restaurant at the Dolphin Plaza food court area right across of Koiso. It's hard to miss really. It's a small place, but they have picnic tables set-up outside for outdoor seating and more tables and chairs inside as well. You walk in and will find their menu posted on a mounted surf board right above their order counter which goes with the semi-beachy theme. We normally get the teriyaki chicken (thigh) plate and the chicken has always been moist, tender, and very flavorful, but not overpowering. Kind of hard to dry out chicken thighs, right? & let's be real, it's one of the best parts. Haha. Their fries are also a welcomed addition to the meal and would highly recommend the furikake fries. Probably some of the best fries on the island in my opinion & we've even done a whole flight of fries when going to small get togethers. The teriyaki menu itself is pretty small; chicken thigh, chicken breast, & mochiko chicken. It's a little pricey considering the servings are also on the smaller end, but it always hits the spot when we've needed something quick and delicious. Check them out!

I found this place on Yelp and found out for myself just how yummy their offerings were. Still a great value although all the reviews seem to mention much lower prices from as close as 2 years back... They have 2 names, Maui teriyaki and Maui fish and chips, they answered the phone with the latter. My wife was wanting teriyaki and I was feeling fish so they had a great combination of both! We started with the fried mushrooms, they were a hit! Although the breading was a touch greasy (what do you expect from deep fried) the mushrooms inside retained their moisture so each bite was juicy and crunchy, yum! They had a few choices for fish and chips and I went with the Ono (workers suggestion) and volcano fries. The Ono was breaded and cooked perfectly. The volcano fries were dusted with chipotle Cajun seasoning and drizzled with a Sriracha aioli, yes! There were also other styles of fries to choose from. My wife had the teriyaki chicken thighs with slaw and her dad had the mochico chicken with rice. The teriyaki was solid but I never got to try the mochico chicken. That looked really good, breaded and fried chicken with what looked like an orange(?) sauce, I would try that next time. There is a huge price swing in Maui and this place was pretty affordable. Check in with Yelp and get a free soft drink for added value!

Maui Fish'n Chips hit the spot and was definitely worth the visit…read more Maui Fish'n Chips is tucked in the corner of a small plaza in Kihei, as most places seem to be. This place has a decent amount of covered seating outside, but no seating inside. The menu is simple, and you order inside. We ordered the Cod Fish with rice, Coconut shrimp, deep fried zucchini, and a side of potato mac salad. The fish and chips were easily the best thing we ate. The fish had outstanding flavor and were battered and fried perfectly. If we only ordered the fish and chips, this place would get an easy 5 stars, no questions asked. Unfortunately, the rest of the food we ate was meh. The coconut shrimp were large and had good coconut flavor, but were overcooked and a little burnt, which altered the overall flavor. But I am guessing if it wasn't burnt, it would have great. I typically love deep fried zucchini, so I was excited to try it here. If didn't meet expectations though (sad face). The zucchini slices were cut very thin, and when deep-fried, I felt like I tasted more of the fried breading than I did the actual zucchini. My wife is a big macaroni and potato salad person, and she was not impressed. She said it had too much mayo and not enough substance.... I was pleased with the service and staff! Everyone that worked there was really nice and helpful. I also appreciate all the seating outside. I also thought it was cool they had a lot of board games for kids to use while we waited for our food. Very unique and solid addition! This place gets a solid 4 stars. If they made little tweaks to the rest of their side dishes, this place could easily be one of the better places to eat in Maui.

First Time at Maui Lobster King!…read more George and I stopped by Maui Lobster King in Kihei for the first time, and it was a fantastic lunch experience! We arrived right around 2:00 PM--perfect timing to catch that sweet spot between the lunch and dinner rush. The restaurant was incredibly clean on the inside, it wasn't busy at all, and we were seated immediately. (Bonus: If you're in a rush, they have a convenient dedicated counter right by the front for takeout orders!) The Details & Sides I have to give a shout-out to the presentation. George didn't think the branded logo accessories were necessary, but personally, I love logos! The more the better--especially when you're taking food photos, because everyone immediately knows where you are. We also tried the fries, which came out hot, crunchy, and served in an adorable mini fry basket. They were served plain, which is probably a smart move to keep salt from falling through the holes in the basket and making a mess on the way from the kitchen, but I definitely would have preferred them salted! George's Seafood Combo George ordered the seafood combo loaded with shrimp, snow crab, and king crab, which he thought was an excellent price for the amount of food you get. For his seasoning, he went with all the flavors combined and kicked it up to spicy. The Flavor: The spice level was pretty mild and manageable, leaning a bit more on the sweeter side, which was really tasty. The Seafood: He was seriously impressed with how perfectly everything was cooked--neither the snow crab nor the king crab were overcooked at all. The shrimp was absolutely delicious. The Sides & Sauce: The sweet corn and red potatoes soaked up the sauce beautifully. The sausage was good, though we both thought it would be next-level if they pan-fried it for a second before throwing it into the boil to give it a little extra color and texture! Overall, a super clean spot, great service, and perfectly cooked seafood. We'll definitely be back! XOXO, ChelsieFletcher

The Mac salad was one of the better Mac salads we had on our trip but it was still kind of average in my opinion. There were some little crunchy bits under the shrimp that was so flavorful when mixed with the rice. The chicken musubi was a big miss for me. Too much rice and not enough sauce. The service was fast and efficient. I would recommend coming here and would gladly come back. This place is reasonably priced for what you get.
