A local jeweler that does not sell manufactured goods! yes, there is a difference. They make quality jewelry that is meant to last. I have a pair of gold earrings that I purchased here several years ago. While good for work, they are unique and I get compliments on the design all of the time. I've heard customers talking with the owner about melting down some gold items to make something else. I hope to do this in the near future. The store is a bit far for me but worth the trip. Been going to David Jewelers for over twenty-five years for all my jewery needs and wants. It is a successful family run business. My wife treats this place like a candy store. This location in the Stirling Town Center is much better than the old Embassy Lakes Plaza, although parking can be tricky. Everytime I walk inside David the owner greets me or comes out from the back to say hello. They have a decent selection of diamond rings and necklaces. They always take time out while browsing the display cases to shine up some of my charms. During the holidays it does take longer for custom jewelry repairs but the job is always done well and notifies you promptly when completed. read more

This is the best jeweler in the Cooper City/Davie/Pembroke Pines area and I can't recommend it highly enough. They do an amazing job with jewelry repairs and they sell some beautiful jewelry here as well. This is my go to place for getting batteries for my watches. They are so reasonable as well and get your repairs done quickly. They do get busy sometimes so please be patient if that's the case. I would like to add to my review of DAVID'S JEWELLERY. I finally picked up my earrings after. 2/14/25 --4//20th20/25. That's a long time. Anyway, I had my earrings for four days and I noticed that there was a stone missing! The stones that he was supposed to set in a new setting from Post to French change - the stone fell out!! Thank goodness I found the stone. Also, David can be very nice. He realized his error called me and somehow by Majic had the setting for the earrings within a day or two.! he was very nice after that! The earrings don't sit right because he picked the skimpiest dentist, gold wire baskets setting to place the stones in. I had to go back anyway because he had to put the stone back thank goodness I found! He couldn't do it because that would mean he would have to re-order another gold setting! But - he didn't give me a choice. When I came in and showed him what I wanted, he could see how sick the gold wire was.. it would've been proper to ask me whether I wanted these cheaper ones or the more expensive settings that are a little heavier and will sit different and I would've told him hey I want it right I don't think he or anybody should automatically assume that the person wants the cheapest there is I don't want the cheapest I want it right!! Anyway, nothing can be done now because they're set in a cheaper setting that doesn't sit exactly correct because they're so light. It should be heavier, but it is what it is and I wish him a happy Shabbat shalom and all is well. !! Now when I see him - he has a big smile on his face and it's very friendly! I've been a loyal customer of David's Jewelers for over 30 years, designing and purchasing new jewelry pieces and bringing in countless repairs, watch band purchases and batteries, and even referring friends and family. I've always been patient, friendly, kind, and appreciative as a customer. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I brought in a gold-plated necklace for a simple clasp repair. After being told it would take one week, I never received a call. When I followed up and confirmed a pickup time, I arrived only to be met with rude service, no communication while I waited, and then David himself screaming at me in front of others. He said my repair "wasn't worth his time," compared it to his higher-priced jewelry sales that are worth his time, and acted as though he was doing me a favor. After nearly two weeks with my necklace, this treatment was shocking and upsetting. This wasn't the first issue. On a previous visit, David's daughter made unkind and body-shaming remarks directly to me about my sister, who was with me in the store designing a necklace that I was purchasing for her. When I addressed it with David, he dismissed it rather than handling it professionally. It's been a few months since both of these incidents occurred and I thought with time David would reach out to apologize. But he never did. David never apologized for his behavior, communication and the way he treated me or the way his daughter treated me and shamed my sister. And to further share, the other women who work there aren't nice or friendly. In fact all the women who work there are very rude to customers. After decades of loyalty, I can no longer recommend David's Jewelers. Customers deserve respect, honesty, and courtesy--qualities I sadly no longer experience here. read more

One and done customer here. Husband asked for a custom made piece that came out sloppy and uneven. Even the engraving was off. The only good thing I can say is they took the poorly made charm back for a store exchange. Inventory is so limited I was lucky to find an option. No apology for their shoddy work. Shame on me. I have gone out of my way to patronize this jeweler TWICE now for some repairs, and they have been closed. 3:00 PM on a Tuesday or Thursday and CLOSED. I live about 30 minutes away, and got there within the posted business hours online and on the front door. There was no sign on the door, no one answered the phone, no voicemail or recording and it just disconnects by itself. Having been here a couple of times before for some standard simple repairs that any jeweler could do, their work was fine, and I am a creature of habit. But this is clearly not a reliable business, and I can only assume they are Chapter 11 or yet ANOTHER unprofessional third-world business in South Florida. Dropped off my ring for a on Thursday for a RESIZING for $16 only that. picked my ring up on Tuesday for it not only to not fit me but they also "Fixed" the prongs which I did not ask for charged me $28 I was running short on time so he added a guard and I left to return the next day when I was meant with attitude from a man that worked there who tried to tell me that I wrote the wrong size on the paper which I didn't proceeded to tell the receptionist to look for my paper (loudly yelling the entire time)and when they found it, I had written the correct size, and the ring was the one incorrectly sized after that he didn't talk to me again I talked to a different man who was easier to talk with but we proceeded to go back-and-forth about the prongs telling me he couldn't restore them to factory but he shaved them to something I was more comfortable with. This whole situation could've been avoided with a simple phone call asking me if I was OK with any additions to the ring or concerns they had working on it, which at that point, I would've gladly taken my ring elsewhere I have small fingers and like delicate jewelry I specifically bought this ring that only had two visible prongs because I hate the look of prongs but now I have 6 and let's keep I mind I just wanted my ring to be resized from a size 6, to a size 4 nothing else I understand that mistakes happen and had they been a tad bit kinder during this process, I would've never even of thought to leave a review read more

This is a great neighborhood jewelry shop, owner operated. They don't have a large selection of jewelry on display at the shop, but they do offer many options for making custom pieces and they do an excellent job when you need repairs done. Their prices are extremely reasonable and the quality of their work is outstanding. Also, they sell and install watch batteries which was the reason I came into the shop today. Most other places will charge anywhere between $10-15 for replacing a battery, but here the price is $4. You cannot beat that. In the past, we have also used their services to repair broken jewelry and order custom pieces, and every time we have been very satisfied with their service. read more

I found one on my dad's watches and brought it to Davids to get the battery replaced. I handed the watch to a young woman who took it into the back. A couple of minutes later a man comes out with my watch and explains that it does not need a battery. It's a Citizen Eco Drive watch with a battery that's charged by wearing the watch in the light any light. I appreciate his honesty and his information. Apparently, the conversation with a current customer about the medications she's on is more important than polite customer service of acknowledging a new customer. Met the store owner David, he was super nice and knowledgeable when it came to diamonds. My fiancé bought my engagement ring from another family own shop. But was charging an arm and a leg for a matching band. We were able to find something similar so it will be able to match perfectly. He was able to explain the color and gave us recommendation and able to modify the ring we preselected and gave us options as to how he can make changes to match my engagement ring. I have been going to David jewelers since they were in the Winn-Dixie shopping plaza. David has always been very kind and professional and welcoming and has always fixed my jewelry and checks my ring whenever I bring it in at no charge. I was very disappointed by the comment left by SK 3 months ago talking about David's daughter and her looks, It really shows what a small person the commentor is because instead of commenting on the work done by David she's commenting on his workers which is really none of her business. Upon entering the store was "greeted" by a young lady (don't know her name and hard to figure her age but lots of eye shadow). She was so unwelcoming and unfriendly that it made me uncomfortable. Perhaps she is a relative of the owner, otherwise not sure why they would keep her there. I met with the jeweler who was very knowledgeable and helpful and prices were good. Buyer Beware. I placed a project on layaway with my fiancée for David Jewelers (a family run jewelry store and jewelry repair shop) to custom make pendants for us as neither of us cared for rings. David Jewelers was in the Winn Dixie plaza on Hiatus/Sheridan for many years. Before they moved from that location, we put down $500 on our pendant project and we were told they would investigate being able to cast the designs we wanted - a modified Dragon and Phoenix with colored obsidian and Mexican fire opal set into them. We had already collected the stones we wanted to use and we provided pictures of what we wanted. We were told the project would likely cost $2,000.00 but they would give us a better idea after some investigation. When we created the layaway it was with the daughter (a young lady fond of black with piercings). When we came back, they asked us to hold off as they were moving to their new location in 3 weeks. David Jewelers moved their business to the Aroma Market plaza on Stirling west of Douglas Rd (where they are now) When we went there to continue to the process, my fiancée was told that they could not find their side of the orange work/ticket envelope. They take a work order envelope and write it up and rip off a portion with a unique number. They keep the envelope side and the customer keeps the ticket. My fiancée also provided our credit card receipt and her side of the ticket. She was told they needed their side to see what her side references. The daughter, who rang us up, she remembered but they could not depend on her because of their hundreds of customers. David, the father, told my fiancée, who at this point was in tears, that he had no intention of stealing from us. He took her out to the back of the store and showed her the trunk of his white mercedes which was full of the orange envelopes. He explained to her that he would make things right but that he just needed to time to sort through and find their side of the ticket envelope. He said as soon as he found it l, he would call her. She could then continue with the project or use the money toward anything in the store. A month passed and we called. They still had not found our ticket. 3 months later, still nothing. We asked them what their intentions were and they said without the ticket they had misplaced while moving; that there was nothing they could do. My fiancée argued that the daughter remembered the project and remembered ringing up. We had the credit card receipt proving the down payment. So they were just going to steal $500? They said there was nothing they could do. Please be aware that my fiancée and her family had been patrons of this jeweler for over 15 years. My mother-in-law could not believe this happened as she too had told me they were a jeweler we could depend on to make our pendant special. My fiancée (now my wife) was flabbergasted having basically given away $500 of my money in exchange for a promissory ticket that David Jeweler refused to honor because THEY lost their side. As it was her recommendation for jeweler, she blamed herself for their thievery. She still has the receipts in our scrap book next to the sketches of our pendants - as the reason we never got our wedding pendants. We obviously would never patronize David Jeweler again for any reason. Personally, I would not trust them to change a watch battery.
