If you don't mind the somewhat pressured up sell, the extra hours of waiting despite making an appointment, this place is fine. I'm from out of town, here to visit my newborn granddaughter, and I've been waiting for new tires and an oil change, with all the tires off the car and no other work finished, for two hours. Not happy. If they had warned me, I could have waited back at the house. Edited to add: one of the tire pressure sensors was broken, which I discovered a number of miles into my trip back to my home state. The car wouldn't pass inspection without it. Really? No wonder it took so long. And you sent me home that way? It cost me $75 to get a new one. I later discovered that this outfit tried to fix my son's Subaru three times. He finally took it elsewhere, and they told him that Mavis had tried to repair a leaky exhaust hose with a replacement the wrong size. Really incompetent. read more

Ok so this review needed to be done because I have never experienced this level of superb service ever when dealing with my car. I drive an old Toyota that has always pulled to one side. It's needed an alignment since day one. So finally after getting a flat my bf brought it in and opted for an alignment also. We didn't expect miracles because the car is so old and we are realistic. Let me first say these guys are so busy, and dropping a car off when there's snow on the ground will always take some time to get your car back. This is because when it snows everyone rushes to buy snow tires and overwhelms the shop. I know this bc my bf is a mechanic in the city. Anyway I dropped it off early in the day and it was ready by the end of the day. I picked up my car late bc I was at work and by that time they had left the shop. Upon driving it home I noticed my wheel was crooked and it now pulled to the opposite side. I'll admit I was so frustrated but the next morning I called and the gentleman that answered was so polite and kind, his tone alone eased my worries and he told me not a problem and to bring it back. So I did, and these guys did not stop until it was perfect, which by the way needed so many little tricks to achieve. They did it!!! I just picked up my car and she's like brand new!!! I've never driven her so straight ever. The steering wheel is perfect, my car drives straight, it no longer pulls to any side. These guys, super busy, did it, they didn't give up and were so pleasant throughout the entire process. Most people would give up and say it's just an old car, but not these guys, they made my car brand new! I'm so happy with their work and look forward to future business. They are the best. read more

My tire had a slow leak and Juan took me in right away, was super pleasant, had my car done in a few short hours, and didn't even charge me to repair the tire leak. Took my 2013 Toyota corolla here a while ago for an oil change. They charged me the price for a standard oil change when my car requires synthetic. I thought maybe they were just being nice then realized they didn't do the oil change at all. My maintenance required light remained on and they never gave me a new sticker in the window with the milage. My boyfriend took the car there again today and everything was done according to how its supposed to be done. Damn expensive though. Still pretty disappointed in the first visit and not planning on returning in the future.... Way over priced and clearly not consistent! read more

On 10-06-19 around 6:00 pm which was a Sunday I went on the Mavis tire website to purchase tires. I saw the tires that fit my car with a price that I was more than happy to pay. I did this from my iPhone and made an appointment for 10-12-19 at 9:30 am which was for Saturday 6 days later. I received an email confirmation order #4211094 for 9:30 at the Mavis tire store. 774 Route9 in Fishkill ny. The next morning a woman from the Fishkill store called me to confirm and told me I was all set for Saturday Oct 12 at 9:30 in the Fishkill store. When I arrived on 10-12 at 9:15 I spoke to Darren who later I found out was the manager, he asked for my name and started typing on his computer for 10 minutes without saying a word and then said to me that only one of the tires I wanted was in the store and the other 3 had to be brought from another store and that it would be an hour and a half and he would call me when they arrived. This store lacked professionalism and customer service. If my set appointment was for 9:30 am and the order could not be fulfilled at that time a simple phone call to me stating "Mr. Ortiz, we regret to inform you we cannot fulfill your order at 9:30 am, the tires aren't in store yet, would you be able to come in at noon instead" I wouldn't have wasted my entire day off. It was 12:00 and no call so I drove to the store to talk to him. I get there around 12:15 and he tells me that 3 of the tires are the there that the last one was on it's way that he would start the installation while the 4th came. I showed them my appointment confirmation that I printed out stating the time of my appointment and received nothing but execuses from him and another gentleman who was behind the desk. Not once did anyone say I'm sorry for the delay, inconvenience. I told them I was not happy that the appointment confirmation was not followed and got excuse after excuse that the website and store do not communicate and that I should be happy that it was being taken care of 3 hours later and that my inconvenience meant nothing to them. When they said to me what I would like to happen I said maybe a discount for starters and the man behind the desk who I did not get his name said to me oh you just want them for free putting words in my mouth. I said of course I don't expect them for free. I was more than happy to pay for the price was quoted when I made my original appointment on 10-6-19. Both the manager and the other employe never apologized for any confusion or unprofessional attitude towards me. They were both very rude in my opinion and I will never go to that store again and I will make sure everyone within the sound of my voice and using social media as my tool to let more people never to go that store. What's most appalling is that the store manager didn't care to rectify the fact that they didn't honor the set appointment or have the tires in even though I scheduled this 6 days before, had a printed email confirmation and a member of their team had called me Monday oct 7 stating I was set and they'd be expecting me. This place is horrible! Over priced and incredibly long waits. I was told my car would be in and out but had to wait over two hours for a simple oil change. One woman asked for her car back because she was misquoted how long her repair would take. Another guy said he was misquoted the cost of service and was charged over $20 per tire for his repair. This place is entirely unreliable. They don't have the tires they say the have on line. They told me the car would be done by 1-2 pm and they never even worked on it. If you have a car worth more than $10.00 don"t even consider bringing it there! We made an appointment for an oil change and when the car was brought out it was covered with grease/oil, inside and out! Filthy1 Steering wheel, windshield, carpet on drivers side, even though there were all weather mats in place, and most of all the leather on the door panel, which was black! When I complained to the manager, he admitted the damage and called the Better mechanic to clean it up. He came out with window cleaner, and kept rubbing and rubbing which made a bad situation worse. If I could give this place no stars I would. Stop suggesting services to my car when I didn't ask for them and they are irrelevant to the service i came in for. Once upon a time I came here to have my snow tires taken off, inspection done, and oil change. They suggested I have SOMETHING done to my break fluid for $600 and since I said no, they forgot to take my snow tires off. When I went back inside to tell them of the mistake they asked " are you sure?". I asked for a receipt and was told we don't give work order receipts just credit card receipts. When I got the district managers number and called, I was never called back after reaching out multiple times. Can I curse on here? F**K this place. read more

This incompetent nincompoops made a complete mess of my car. They spilled oil all over my car. I smelled a burning smell the car shortly after the oil change so I took my car to the dealer for servicing. The dealer found the cabin air' filter, the catalytic converter, and the engine covered in oil which had been slowly burning. I drove around breathing in these fumes for weeks before I understood what was happening! Do yourself a favor and don't go to these j**ka***s for anything! After getting a flat on my fairly new car I needed to get a replacement tire. I called STS since they are around the corner from me and they were very friendly over the phone, providing me with a quick quote and letting me know they had my tire in stock. I drove over after filling my tire with air and only about 20 minutes after sitting down in the waiting area they announced that I was all set. Granted, they didn't seem to be very busy, but that was very fast service and the price was right too, comparable to other tire businesses in the area. read more

This place is about as professional and efficient as you can find. I wrecked a tire and had to get a new one for on a 2017 Chevy Volt. I called the local Chevy dealer who did not have one in stock. I was stuck in Beacon, New York as I lived in New Jersey. I found Mavis Tire online and called them. Within one hour my car was fixed. I had a brand new tire and a newfound respect for how well run and friendly this place is. Very helpful staff. I had an issue with my car after the snowstorm. Even though they reassured me that my car was fine and the imbalance while driving was from the snow, they still took my car in and looked at it for me. They checked everything and even took the packed snow and ice out of my tires, which was causing the imbalance. They didn't charge and Gary was very kind and accommodating. I have never been so disgusted with ANY service of ANY kind before. My friend and I put on a set of raceland coilovers for my EM2 and was in desperate need of an alignment. Despite all of the warnings I got from people, I decided to try it out for myself. One mechanic in my town told me how this Mavis facility failed NYS inspection for one of their customers because there was a nail in their tire (really?!). Anyway, I took my car there for a 2 (front) wheel alignment. The manager said there was a hour and a half wait time - okay thats fine, the process is only 30-40 minutes. After 8 hours of my car just sitting in the same spot with plenty of empty lifts (at one point there was only 1 flat truck bed on a lift), they finally took my car. They called me and asked who put on my coilovers and I told them a friend and myself did it. They disrespected my friend and myself saying we don't know what we are doing. They said the ball joints were completely gone and they won't do an alignment. Immediately called BS because I looked at them myself before and after the installation and my entire front end is maybe a year old, both ball joints were in great condition. I don't know if they are just lazy or racist but I am never coming back to this place. I went to Fishkill Tire & Auto on Main Street in Fishkill (just 10 mins down the road), and they took care of my car. Not only did they say my ball joints were fine but they did all 4 wheels for $20 cheaper than a 2 wheel alignment at Mavis. I waited here maybe a couple of hours because they were swamped with cars (great service leads to more customers) Nobody should have the displeasure of coming to Mavis in Beacon, NY. read more
