The employees are so unprofessional, rude and incompetent!! They ordered the wrong size tires for my vehicle, waited nearly 3 hours to let us know. Then when we voiced our displeasure and asked to try to make it right by working a deal with more expensive tires (because those came in the right size!), we were told by the assistant manager, Brian, to take our keys, our vehicle and our business elsewhere!! We then went down the road to Jack Williams, got treated with the utmost respect and even though we had to pay more, it was so worth it!! I will never go to Mavis Tires again and I will make sure everyone I know hears why!! read more

I give this place 5 stars for there honesty and awesome customer service. The manger Colby was so helpful and knowledgeable and made it easy for me to understand what's going on... I'll be honest I'm your typical female that has no idea about cars and was extremely intimated to walk in, but I left super satisfied and my car feels brand new again! Just left this shop and forgot to ask the managers name and the guy who assisted him, but just terrific people! My car was leaking oil, the check engine light had just lit up and I had a crying 7 year old in the car. I was hoping to just drop it off and would come by the next morning when they were opened, but they insisted on taking the car then and helping me out. Thankfully it was a relatively straightforward fix, but made it just in time, car was completely drained of all its oil. So grateful these guys were working tonight!!! read more

I loved when this place was STS and had been going there for years, so when it became Mavis I decided to try them out. I brought my car there a few times and each time I felt worse and worse about them. They just seem pretty shady so I found somewhere else to go hopefully I can find somewhere as awesome as STS was. read more

I think I should of broke this to the News even the outside temperature makes it on TV. I bought 2 front tires from Mavis six-months ago.Not knowing they sold me faulty unsafe tires. Putting me and my family at risk. I had to add air into one of the tires,I was blaming the Pocono roads. It wasn't until I needed a car inspection. when Midas bought it to my attention. Your car will not pass with those faulty tires on your car. I was shocked. Midas called Mavis to notify them of my cars tire issue. Telling them they sold me two faulty tires. Mavis agreed to make things right over the phone to them. when I went over to Mavis to show them my faulty unsafe tires. Midas chalk lined the defected areas of the tires for an easier visibility. I was told by 2 managers at Mavis it was going to be a free job. A swap out I was assuming after our conversation in which we hand shook on it. Somewhere from me leaving that afternoon to me coming back the next day. I was getting a $117.00 bill instead. I paid $154.58 originally.Mavis does not stand behind their products. Other then a little bit of a discount off the tires. I basically repayed for the same job twice labor and all. The bill says I declined the wheel alignment. I was never asked if I wanted one. They also charged me a four-dollar recycling fee. They know damn well those tires are going back to the manufacturer for full credit. I thought I would get to choose a different make tire but instead I wasnt asked about it. I got the same make tires and when I left I had no assurance these were going to be safer tires. Mavis apparently do not know the difference between safe & unsafe tires. Midas had to re - inspection there new tires. I been driving on them for about a week and all I smell from them is burning rubber. I hope that's normal. Sorry Mavis. You made it easy for me I won't be returning. read more

These guys don't know what they're doing. I brought in TWO cars for struts and shocks and they BOTH left rattling with broken bushings. They refused to own up to it or fix it, saying it was no big deal and that it was still safe to drive, I would just have to deal with an annoying noise. Now both of my cars won't pass inspection over the broken bushings, which is costing me even more money. read more

Excellent experience! We happen to be in the area and noticed that we needed to stop ASAP to get our tires rotated. When I called Mavis, the gentleman on the phone mentioned he can do that free! We went and ended up not only getting free tire rotation, we also bought all 4 new tires (we were not pressured at all I asked about their deals), they even match online prices. The experience was amazing, everyone was so nice and provided us with an abundance of information regarding the services being preformed. On such short notice I was pleasantly surprised. I feel lucky to have stumbled into this place (considering the highway is full of tire places). If you want to deal with people who are honest and where you don't feel like you are getting ripped off, visit this Mavis! Service took about 45 minutes, same day appointment, and car is riding smooth. These guys are definitely industry experts, and they aren't trying to rip you off. Let's face it, that is pretty refreshing in this line of service. A+ establishment. read more

Just left Mavis, had a flat tire that had a nail in it. Thought that since they were Mavis tires there would be no cost. WRONG. Also told me I needed new air and cabin filters. Funny because I just changed them two days ago. No way did they look at those filters, they're a bear to get to.Will not go back to them for anything, can't be trusted. read more

Second straight time highly unsatisfied. Last time they lost my keys. I was the first customer for 4 new tires. 6 hours later I pull in an they lost my keys, and no phone call!!. This time dropped off car on a Wednesday for an inspection. 4 hours later I come back, empty parking lot, open bays and my car is not done. Female manager was oh well. Don't go there!! i,m a highly trained mechanic.today was my third visit to three repair shops.pa law says its up to the mechanic pass or fail for all state inspections.well you guess rt i got three different reasons.why they should shake me out of some $$$$. both shops did try me, Midas was the most for repairs here local ,so much for free inspections.thats a old scam.so my last stop mavis mechanic was honest, professional.it,s a little like mr sterling if you bought a toilet from me and you like my service maybe you will buy a sink the next time.this is my third repair plus 4 new tires from mavis in mount pocono,pa. they were 100% no car or truck repairs are cheap.go mavis i give you guys a 9 stars keep up the good service word of mouth go,s a long way. read more

First off, let me start by saying that if i could give this place zero or negative stars, it would be in that catagory. I made an appointment for 11:30, I arrived at 11:20, out of the five stations they had, two were open, mechanics just sitting around and and i didnt even get my car taken in to a station until 12:50. I came to get a simple oil change as well as two tires replaced the estimated price was $250. When the car got looked at the manager, Colby, said the tires we made the appointment for were the wrong size and said we would have to get tires that would be 10$ more each. Then after removing both tires he said the sensors for air pressure were corded away and insisted on us replacing them. When he brought them to me to show me them, he broke pieces of them off in to his hand so I had no option but to get new ones, they were $80 dollars a piece, $160 total. I told him i did not have the funds to replace them and wanted basic rubber valve stems with no sensor instead. I talked to the actual mechanic that was working on my car and he said "great, no problem" about 2 minutes later, here comes the manager again raising his voice saying, "i dont think you understand, its not an option, you HAVE to get them.I researched that when i got home, and they DO make plain rubber valve stems for my car.. He then proceeded to try to persuade me into getting an alignment done, i refused again, telling him i simply do not have the money to do it. He then informed me I had a simple dripping brake fluid leak and tried to get me to allow him to fix it insisting it would only cost a few cents, but in reality it could have cost another $150. when i refused he told me he wasn't trying to scare me but if i left there with the slight leak my cars brakes could give out at the light down the road, and i would crash. The manager was beyond rude. He made me wait an 1 hr and a half after my appointment was scheduled to even be seen. He was very disrespectful to other customers as well, and when questioned on the prices i felt he became irritable, short, and aggressive toward me as a customer I winded up spending $435 dollars not $250. I FEEL I WAS CHEATED DO NOT SHOP HERE UNLESS YOU INTEND TO SPEND WAY MORE THAN YOU ANTICIPATE MANAGEMENT IS RUDE AND APPOINTMENTS ARE USELESS I WILL NEVER USE THIS SHOP AGAIN. read more
