I blew a tire on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend and decided to use Mavis since the location was convenient for me, and other tire shops I had used in the past were closed this day. The woman I spoke to on the phone was very helpful and pulled a few tire options for me at different price points. I ended up needing 3 tires since my opposite tire was old anyway and I had another tire with a nail in it! I was happy they were willing to do 3 instead of 4 tires, since #4 was only a few months old. I appreciated they didn't try to force me into a 4th tire just to make a sale. The location is good for waiting there because you can walk to a few places while you wait (Primos, Marshalls, etc.). This has been the worst experience. I waa at this mavis to day 6/19/2026. I am deeply disturbed by what I witnessed at Mavis Tire. As a Caucasian female, I was appalled by the way a Caucasian manager treated an African American woman. His behavior was not merely unprofessional--it was degrading, hostile, and completely unacceptable. During the interaction, the manager repeatedly called the customer a liar, spoke to her with blatant disrespect, and referred to her as "you people." The tone, language, and overall treatment were offensive and humiliating. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue professionally, he appeared intent on belittling and discrediting her in front of others. Watching this unfold was uncomfortable and upsetting. No customer should ever be subjected to this kind of treatment, regardless of the situation. Every person who walks through the door deserves to be treated with courtesy, dignity, and respect. What I witnessed reflected a serious lack of professionalism, poor judgment, and a complete disregard for basic customer service standards. I strongly encourage Mavis Tire's corporate leadership to investigate this incident and take appropriate action. Conduct like this damages the company's reputation and creates an environment where customers may feel unwelcome, disrespected, or targeted. Went there for a tire rotation and made an appointment as I went during the workday. Appointment was for 1000, I didn't get out of there until after 2:00 pm. That's with an appointment? The team at this location is amazing. The service and professionalism was top notch. I came in without an appointment and needed a tire looked at. They were able to fix the tire and have me on my way in less than an hour (again, I didn't have an appointment) and the price was more than fair! Update : I talked to a very nice gentleman who reassured me that I was a valued customer. He had me go back to the Mavis and I got my tires put on. My honest feedback is that Mavis does care about their customers but each location is different. I believe by communicating with customers that they can accept appointments or you can only drop off would prevent a lot of frustration. For someone like me who lives by myself I don't have the luxury of dropping my car off for 7 hours. I do feel I am a valued customer and I thank the district manager for reaching out to me!!! Literally I can't stress enough how ANNOYING this place is. Every time we've shown up, they always have a reason to send us walking out the door and NOT get our car checked out. We even SCHEDULED to do our inspection and when we showed up, the employees had no idea and were COMPLETELY unprepared for us. They had to squeeze us into their day when they should've already been ready for us LIKE WE *SCHEDULED.* I've only been here twice and both times the employees were rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I had a horrible experience at this Mavis location. Empty promises! I went in for a wheel alignment. I sat for 2 and a half hours for them to come out and tell me I needed 4 new tires and my brake caliber was leaking. I was told they could order the part and do it at a later date. I rescheduled the appt and they said they ordered the part at that time I dropped my car off at 11:30 ( we were good to go ) Then they called me at 4:30 and said that I needed rotors. At 5:00 they didn't have the caliber ordered ( they knew nothing about the part ) At that point I went over and told them to take my car off the lift because I was furious. They assured me that they could fix the problem and would not charge me for any labor due to the inconvenience. I had to drive to get the part myself and they said it would take 10 minutes to install when I got back to the shop. Long story short I sat for another hour and a half. I spent about 1000.00$ total for the work done. 3 weeks later I started to hear banging and grinding in the rear of the car. I took it back and explained to the manager what was going on and he was rude and didn't seem to care. I took the car to my mechanic and he fixed the problem $214.00 later ! The caliber that Mavis put on, all of the bolts were gone! And the caliber was not put on correctly. This destroyed my brake pads and could have caused catastrophe! I could have been seriously injured or killed!! This place needs to be held accountable for what they did to my car and the damage that could have been caused. I also have pictures from my personal mechanic for proof of the problem. I would have gone to my personal mechanic in the beginning but unfortunately he does not do alignments or tires. I have to give these guys a shout out. I needed an alignment on a Sunday and they were polite, efficient, and they went above and beyond to provide me with a spot on alignment. They told me the best time to come in would be around 3:30PM. Unfortunately I took a bit longer than expected and ended up coming in around 4PM, right before they close. They quickly put my car on the alignment machine, and went to great lengths to make sure it wouldn't rub on the lift. Overall the managers, staff and team did a very good job setting my alignment to the factory specifications as requested. read more

I want to give a 10+ star but Yelp only goes up to 5 stars. My Father-in-law's 2006 Toyota Highlander was making a lot of noise in the rear...a lot of rattling. We called Mavis and Jose answered the phone. He was wonderful! He not only got us in on the spot, but actually showed us what was wrong. They were not able to do all of the work because it called for a welder and they don't provide that service at Mavis. But Jose told us exactly what needed to be done so that I could explain it to the shop that we took it to for the welding. He also gave us a nice discount on the labor. While we were waiting in the waiting room, Jose got a call on the phone from a potential customer. Let's just say that Jose has the patience of Job! Ordered a replacement tire through them that was supposed to be covered under one-year manufacturer road hazard warranty. Original tire order was canceled and nobody notified us so wasted time with a first trip for nothing. Came back Thursday and they refused to honor the manufacturer road hazard warranty. Said to take it up with Hankook; Hankook says they are supposed to honor the manufacturer road hazard warranty. Claimed that I had to have bought the tire at Mavis, basically just confusing their own road hazard warranty for Hankook's manufacturer road hazard warranty; when I tried to explain this, the manager, Jose, refused to verify the info on the Hankook website that I was looking directly at. The original rep we talked to also claimed initially they were a Hankook tire dealer and then the shop went back on that claim later. Here is the language from Hankook's website, nothing about the tire needing to be ordered and replaced at original point of purchase. Jose told me to go through Hankook, Hankook says to go through Mavis, so basically I'm being told to go eff myself. Clearly everything in the chain of communication here is totally messed up and I'm out $150 with no recourse but to write a negative review. I guess it's *possible* that in complicated world of tire warranty bureaucracy I'm somehow in the wrong, or maybe everyone who works at Mavis is just incompetent and uninformed. Whatever the case, bad experience and my wallet is empty. Don't go here unless you want to get the run around, deal with bad communication, and ultimately get fleeced. Edit: re: the claim that "we're not a Hankook dealer" -- here's another screencap, they are listed on the Hankook website as a Hankook dealer. It is very clear that the Mavis national organisation has no handle on their "managers" nor the willingness to do the only correct thing, to make it right. Mavis's response "we would love to talk to you" is hogwash. Had an appointment scheduled for a Monday, received a call from their call center saying they were too busy on Monday and asked if I could reschedule, which I did. Went in at my new scheduled time and was told they would not be able to get my vehicle inspected today, they were too busy. Explained I had an appointment that they rescheduled already but apparently that doesn't matter to Mavis. What's the point of scheduling an appointment if you're just going to cancel on people anyways? Was also told that my original appointment for that Monday had open availability all day but their call center folks just call and reschedule people anyways. I would totally recommend this place!! I found a great deal on tires online and bought them from that company (not Mavis). I called Mavis and got a call center who gave me a coupon for $10 off each tire to install. I set an appointment and brought the tires to this Mavis and had them mount and balance them. They were very helpful, courteous (I don't need them to be courteous, I need them to tell me how it is and be honest...I'm a big boy, I can handle it). But they were totally cool, told me I need to replace the valves and recommended I have them check the alignment (the alignment check was free). They called me, checked in with me and recommended the alignment, they proved it to me by showing me the results. I got 4 tires mounted, balanced, new valves and an alignment for $200. They will also rotate the tires for me every 5K miles for the life of the tires for free. I don't see how I could have gotten better service or a better deal anywhere else! I was here about a year and a half ago for a flat repair. They were great, got me right in, and handled it. read more

They clearly explain what they are going to do. They service the vehicles quickly and you never feel like you are being taken for a ride. The quality of work has also been very good. I was very excited to have a place to bring my car that was so close to home when I saw that an STS was being built. I scheduled an appointment for 2:00pm and showed up a few minutes prior. I must have hit. Busy time because there was a line of people but Ed was there and took care of me and my car was in the shop and back out within 30 minutes. They did not try to push anything I didn't need like Pepboys typically does which was great too. The staff was patient and welcoming. Scheduled an appointment for an oil change and inspection on Monday. Was told to reschedule for another day. Rescheduled for Wednsday afternoon. Called in the morning and was told to come in as early as I can. Came in two hours early and was told to leave my car with them for a couple of hours. Come back 2.5 hours later (after my scheduled time as well) and they haven't looked at my car and tell me three people are ahead of me. Nice guys but this place has the turn around time of at least a day or two for something that should take under an hour. Also, the least they could have done was tell me that there were that many people ahead of me when I initially dropped the car off. This is the single WORST car experience I've ever had at any auto shop, EVER. Let's start on Monday: went in to take care of 4 things: Belt squealing Oil change transmission Inspection Can't do transmission. Fine. It's about 1 pm at the shop guy tells me it's going to take 2 hrs minimum for inspection. Fine. Wife picks me up for eye exam. Phone rings: "hey did you leave your keys?" My god. Can't do anything until Wednesday. Get there Wednesday bright and early at opening. Left keys same deal. 4 hrs later : "hey your control arms are busted" (somehow). "Want us to take care of it?" Sure. 2 hrs later: "hey uh... your mirror doesn't look right we're not going to pass it. 70$ please, oh and uh we gotta hold your car over night because we can't get to your old control arms for some reason. No we're not going to offer you a rental. It's not like you have bills to pay." *Note: been getting my car inspected in the state of PA for almost 10 years. There's nothing wrong w my rear view mirror. But these guys? Nothing gets past these guys. Thursday: "hey uh we cracked your windshield trying to take off your rear view mirror. The fastest we can get it repaired is Saturday. " Couldn't get it on Saturday because I work until 7pm after they close. I ask for a ride for Sunday. Mind you all they had to do was give me a rental. So I'm out 360$ of work hours because I have no ride to get into work. These jerks DO NOT CARE ABOUT UOUR BILLS OR FAMILY. Hey what about the squealing? "Yea uh they ain't heard no saueeking or whuteva " *turn the key... *squeaksqueaksqueaksqueak* These clowns are trash. They have no regard for your normal life despite their incompetencies and it's huge affects, thereof. They lie and don't even check your vehicle properly. For anything you ask, apparently. COMPLETELY UNTRUSTWORTHY. They are ONLY interested in making money off someone that knows less than them about cars. Period. They gave me less than a 10% discount on a thousand dollar bill.
